This has eased my anxiety, my son is 2 years and 5 months and everyone keeps saying “you want to get him out of nappies he’s too old for them!” We’ve been trying him with his potty and wearing his big boy pants around the house, he knows what he needs to do on the potty etc but isn’t quite telling me when he needs to go or when he’s gone. Am so glad I came across this video!
@@Phd366 hey! I just kept sitting him on his potty every couple of hours and soon he discovered that he didn’t like being wet anymore! It was as if it happened overnight! He’s coming up to 4 now and has been out of nappies, dry in the day and night for just over a year 🙂 good luck!
OMG, I have gone through the same; everyone telling me that he should have been potty trained long ago. My boy is 2 years 9 months and is almost potty trained for the last week and a half. He pees in the potty but asks for a diaper if he wants to poop. Nap time is diaper free but night time is with diapers. Please don't let anyone tell you what is right for your baby. You are the parent and you know what is best for your child❤
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else is searching for what age do you potty train try Training Recovery Tactics ( training.RecoveryTactics.com ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my brother in law got great success with it.
I cannot believe I managed to potty train my son this weekend in 4 days! I remember watching this video before he was even born years ago thinking it wouldn't be this easy but he is so proud of himself! My son is 2years 7months and he was already so interested in the potty so we knew he was ready! 💗
I would say, not everybody ,is the same, nor are prepared for " potty training", there are some kids that will learn right away, others might have " accidents", and take na longer time, but eventually they will learn, awesome tutorial.
I know this video is super old but I watched it when I trained my oldest and she’s a girl so frankly it was so easy. But with my son the foot in the warm water thing! Amazing idea! I will try that!!! Thanks :)
My grandson is 18 months old.. I keep him 2 days a week so his parents and I are working together. We both have a potty at our home. He actually went pee pee! We are so proud of him… Parents and caregivers just stay consistent that’s key!!!! Good luck to everyone
I'm on day 4 of toilet training my boy/girl twins and my girl got it literally day 1 haha but my boy is still refusing to sit on his potty. I've just gotten that urinal you showed and am going to try sitting him on the big toilet today. Fingers crossed. Thanks for always coming through with those good tips and advice! ❤️
Just waded through young couples vlogging potty training about their experience. Not what I was looking for. I must say that your videos are always educational, straight to the point, and with very useful tips! I have watched your videos since i was pregnant and they have always been soo clear cut and helpful. Thank you for posting!
My little boy is now 4 and we have tried to potty train him tons of times since he was 3. Its only recently that he turned a corner and his speech and understanding was enough to be able to potty train. We are on day 5 and the last two days he has been using the potty perfectly. Ice lollies are the main source of motivation. He would do anything for an ice lolly even if it was snowing he would still want am ice lolly. Sticker charts dont work for him. He was quite resistive at first- he said he wanted to be a baby and wear a nappy and didnt want to be a big boy or wear his new pants. Last couple of days have been successful. Its very encouraging..he has been dry at night for the last fortnight as well but i have put a waterproof mattress protector on there anyway. Basically, potty training turns you into a janitor! Lol
Reading your comment, I can definitely relate. My mom and dr wants me to start potty training but I dont think he's quite ready. My son was a late talker and trying to get him to understand the potty , when his communication and understanding aren't as developed yet that it would be pretty hard and stressful to start now.
Thanks a ton for sharing this video ❤. Your video motivated me to give it a try with my 2 year 9 month old baby boy. It took almost a week and a half for me and he still wants to wear his diaper when he wants to poop and wears a diaper at night but he uses the potty exclusively for peeing and won't pee even if he is wearing a diaper; nap time is also diaper free. I think this itself is a massive accomplishment for us and I am so proud of him 😊 Thanks again for being creating such a supportive environment for new moms, God bless you❤
My sons 3, looks like a 5yo tbh. So people automatically think in the nursery he should be off nappies. So this Sunday I'm going to train him hopefully as it's half term and surprise the nursery when he returns the following Monday lol. It's going to be hard work, as his the only child and I took a week off work. In this time frame I'm hoping to make this happen. Your such a patient parent. Obviously they'll be accident here n there.
This is glorious, I've been looking for "best way to potty train boys" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Parvazchez New Start Remedy - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my cousin got excellent results with it.

Our son is doing well with peeing (having a wee) on the toilet but he isn’t clicking yet with going to the toilet for a bowel movement. Do you have any advice with that?
My little boy is 4 in August, but isn't talking at all. I have been trying to potty train since he was 2, as he started showing signs like hiding for a poo being dry for long periods of time. He has amazing bladder control, can hold his wees and poos for 12/14 hours! I even tried putting his hand in water and gently pressing on his tummy nothing! He's starting school in September and l really don't want him in nappies. Stressed is an understatement.

4 days is soo good well done little man!!! That green urinal is awesome!! I filmed our update yesterday as I think we've finally cracked it too, so handy before our baby boys arrive! 💙💙
Thank god I didn't have to potty train my son. I guess I got lucky cause a few weeks before he turn 3, he just walked to toilet, sat on it and did his business. And he never had accident in bed either cause he doesn't like to be wet and dirty so he never wet the bed. But he doesn't wake up to go toilet either. Of course I made sure he went toilet before he goes to bed.
K Sha av never had to , I buy a potty when they r around 12 months an jst leave it in the living room. All mine were really early with no coaxing at all 17 months 24 months 15 months. an I mean in pants no nappy week again they have never even wet the bed except my daughter who did a few times till she was 3 . feel lucky cos I see people stressing about it all the time
I agree. My daughter was potty trained a month before her second birthday. My son, I tried when he was 18 months old but he was definitely not ready. He is now 21 months and I am in progress of training but I must say, boys are much harder and I have always been told that girls are but I digress.
Hi, great job on the potty training. My question is, during the day did you let him wear a pamper or a regular undie? I’m trying to figure out where I start.
Thank you I will try this. I am really struggling to potty train my 3 year old daughter. She just watched this video with me and enjoyed it so fingers crossed it gives her a little boost..
Thank you Emily, I have been putting off the potty for some time as my son who is 3 next month just shows no interest! I knew you would be the one to check out so I'm glad I found this video. Any other tips you can give, especially as my son is my only one and doesn't have an older sibling to watch, would be much appreciated. Thank you again great video as always!
Thanks for this video..have a toddler that I need to start potty training soon..I'm just dreading coz my partner is not so supportive like getting the potty insert. 🤦♀️ Anyway I have a question, so is it possible to sucessfully potty train kids for daytime and still use nappies at night?
I've just started potty training my 3 year old little boy, he doesn't like the potty so we are straight onto the big toilet stickers and lots of praise are helping :) xx
so helpful Emily!!! I am now potty training my son. He sits but doesnt do anything, and as soon as he leaves the toilet he does it! Its sooo frustrating! With my other girls it wasn´t like this at all. I will try your tips starting today! Thanks!!!!
+Emily Norris Thanks Emily! I love the way you make everything fun, I see myself losing my patience but you are always so sweet and happy! You inspire me to do better.
my son now gets up and goes himself if he needs to. we "lifted him " before we went to bed for a while and eventually could just gently wake him and tell him to go and he would go and then get back to bed. it's all a process
Nice video..love all your videos.learnt so much from you😊I started my baby's potty training when she just started sitting i.e. around 5-6 months..that's the way she learnt it faster and she thinks may be this is the way it has to be done😊😉
Great video as always, have liked it so when Harry's turn comes round I can go to this video. That's what I love about all you u tube mums, you all have great tips and advice. 😀 xx
My son is 3 and he hasn't really shown any signs of interest for potty training. Except when he goes poo in his diaper he says, "poo" and grabs at his diaper. Ive asked him if he wanted to try sitting on his new potty twice and both times he said "no!" I even showed him a potty training video but he didn't seem interested....... any tips or advice to kind of get him interested? He's the only child too so no siblings to look up to for that.
Jess Wood I’m about to start potty training my son, he’s 2y8m (he’ll be 3 in Aug) we still haven’t really started PT like consistently every day but have tried little things here and there just so he would be familiar with everything. I’ve sat the little potty in the living room, he goes to the bathroom with daddy, always take his shorts and diaper off when he’s outside playing (of course just at home and Grandparents) Sing him a “T T in the potty” song anytime I’m going to the bathroom. And let him flush the toilet. I’ve tried sitting him on the potty a few times and he’s scared to so I know that’s going to be our biggest struggle. With my daughter I bought a sheet of small stickers and anytime she used the potty she got to put a sticker on her potty, she really liked that. Good luck with your boy!! 😁
I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else needs to find out about toilet training techniques try Nadazma Potty Plan Helper (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my buddy got excellent results with it.
My son is 22 months and keeps saying poo in the loo, or just coming to me and saying uh oh poopoo, but i don't know if i should start training him or not as he is still so little, what would you recommend? i don't want to force it if he isn't quite there yet, but he is showing some signs he might be.
I saw this video like a year ago when I was trying to learn about potty training. Some of your tips got stuck in my mind. I didn’t remember from where I heard these tips. Now year later my son just learned to use the potty, and while training I remember a few of your tricks. I was prepared for a long frustrating journey that only took 2 day for me.
Thanks for your advice it has helped me a lot I've been trying to get my almost 3 year old son potty trained I've accomplished potty training 2 girls but having the worst luck with my son do you reccomend no pull ups once I start with undies?
i love your channel so much, yesterday i watched your video about activities with a 6 months old, but with Caleb, you had only 3 subscribers! it is awsome how your channel has grown, you are adorable and amazing. wish tons of more subscribers, love laughs and health for u a d your beautiful family
I potty trained my little brother to pee in the toilet hopefully he’ll start the pooping in the toilet soon I’ll update !!! but basically he’s a tough one too!
what I did was take away his iPad and said if he wants to be a big boy he needs to use the toilet, it takes time but slow steps into making him get used to the toilet standing position and boom he peed standing up in the toilet today! he’s turning 3 in January
@@marianam9594 we seemed to have mastered it now. Dry at night times the lot. The only thing we have to be careful off is too make sure he doenst just keep playing and ignore the fact he needs to go. So constant reminders when he is excited! On day 3/4 he just clicked with it! Poo was definitely harder but he has a very sensitive stomach too so the slightest thing an knock it off. So we now watch him like a hawk 😂 Good luck with it all, we are proof it does work haha xx
Thanks so much for this video Emily! We kind of started introducing our little girl to potty but she is totally refusing to sit on it like Caleb did!She is almost 2 years old and she picks up things so fast that I thought we might give it a go.She is also showing a few of the signs however she seems to be so stubborn with this.I don't want to push it and ruin it for her,so might wait a little bit longer.Just thought it will be easier now it's getting warmer. But well done Caleb!!And those little pants on him😍adorable!x
Aw I know what you mean - with my first son Fraser we started just before he was 2 and it was a 3-4 week thing and now seeing how fast Caleb got it I think leaving it later is the way to go! It was a much quicker less painful process thins time and he can communicate so well now he's older he can tell me more etc. Good luck when you do it xx
It feels like it's easier for children that can talk at least say enough words and sentences. My son is 1 yr 10 months and I want to train him soon but he's not even talking yet just saying a word here and there so I don't know how to explain or have him communicate back. What is the average age for potty training boys? (He doesn't have siblings to learn from)
Thank you for sharing this and well done Caleb! I've seen that green urinal, what a great idea. Parker isn't really for potty training yet, but it's great to get some tips to be as prepared as possible! xx
Thankyou this was SO helpful! Ive been dreading potty training this time around because it seemed much more complex with my son than when I potty trained my daughter! I will have to try that little froggy urinal!
Aw apparently boys take a little longer than girls but I was surprised at how quickly he got it - I think the later you leave it and the more ready they are the easier :-) xx
My son started to use the toilet seat immediately, but we have problem with wetting trousers, how to solve that? Is he not ready for panties or what? sometimes he is telling before pee, but very often not :( So I am changing clothes every hour :( any advice? tnx
Hi there I am having no trouble with the pee but the poo on the other hand is a struggle to get my little one to sit long enough to go , I have tried all the usual stuff toys books etc but to no avail
He's already 3!!! He's old enough. He really is just plain stubborn! I think I'm going to try the Boys Urinal see if that might work. Or even the Cherrios method.
My other 2 boys learned at about 2 1/2 years old. And they learned quick within a week they were going in the potty. But this one does not want to go at all.
Emily, you have help me soooo much . Your tips are wonderful. I finally got to start uploading my own videos thanks for your advice and kindness in sharing tips about Vblog with me. Now I am about to apply this potty tips. You keep inspiring me and you are awesome thank you!
Thank you ! You had a lot of great ideas . My son is 3 and anti potty too. Since this is my long weekend I decided to try again . No pull-ups until bed time. I never thought of leaving him sleep and telling him to use it instead of waking him up. You have great energy. Great video and thanks for the insight 😊😊
The hot water bowl tip is pure genius ! This motivates me to start potty training my 2,5 yo. His big brother potty trained literally overnight when he was 3, so I feel like I have zero experience on this topic 😂
This is day 2 of potty training for us. Yesterday my 3 year old boy went pipi and poop on his potty. On his own too! We were so proud. However he was naked the whole time. How did you condition him to start using the undies and teach him to pull them down when he was to go potty? He's having a hard time wanting to wear the undies and pulling them down. But if hes all bare he will use the potty like no problem.
this is brilliant! well done Kayleb! I bet he is so chuffed with himself :) I forget about potty training, my least favourite thing as a mum! already dreading it with the next one! xxx
Emily this is brilliant, thanks so much for sharing. Ollie is 2yrs 7months (there's only one month between our boys) I do want to start potty training as he is doing the same things as Caleb was, maybe it's time!! 👍🏻☺️ xx
Aw that's crazy so close in age! I probably would've left it if I wasn't pregnant ha #badmum and I think I underestimated him as I did not think he'd get it as quickly as he did! Maybe do it while the weather is good - even if that's August ;-) hee hee xx
+Emily Norris yeah I'm the same with Oliver, I don't want to push him but he does seem to be ready. Hopefully he will be a little superstar like Caleb! 👍🏻😉 xx
here's a few ideas about ways to potty train check for signs that your child is ready talk with the child to make sure they understand show them pictures to explain remove diapers/nappies from your house (I discovered these and why they work from gabs potty blueprint website )
Aw thanks so much! Don't be scared just start! I used to make videos and not tell anyone and felt awkard for the first 100 videos ha but it is really fun xx
Omg the foot in the warm water! I have to try this. My 4yr. old nephew is so behind on training. He refuses to go. Even though I know he has to go. He just holds it in. He is so uptight and high anxiety when he is on the toilet. He won't relax enough to go. I am at my witts end.
My oldest in 2014 when we moved to our new home for that very reason we bought house as it already had downstairs loo build and I think within 2 to 3 days he got hang of it currently am getting my 3 year old to potty train so far he started off really good. But lately he has had s few accidents but what is your. Best tip as he willNot sit on big toilet or potty
My son is 3 and still struggling he does great at school but at home it's a struggle he refuses to empty his bladder completely so I am taking him to the the potty roughly every 3-5 minutes and accidents still happen
So my son is a year old he brings he can walk brings diapers to me when hes dirty and is vary interested in the toilet fallows both me and mom and even will open and close the lid and try a flush it so he knows what it is but he cant really talk yet is there still a way i can kinda get him to tell me whennhe needs to go insead of bring me a new diaper when he's done???
This has eased my anxiety, my son is 2 years and 5 months and everyone keeps saying “you want to get him out of nappies he’s too old for them!” We’ve been trying him with his potty and wearing his big boy pants around the house, he knows what he needs to do on the potty etc but isn’t quite telling me when he needs to go or when he’s gone. "Nappies" "trousers" "wee". I love hearing these words instead of the words for these items that I'm used to.

"Diapers" "pants" "pee"

Thank you I will try this. I am really struggling to potty train my 3 year old daughter. She just watched this video with me and enjoyed it so fingers crossed it gives her a little boost..
clever Caleb taking only 4 days, will definitely be using these ideas when my son is a little bit older. thanks again x
Thanks Sarah! I was surprised too xx

Thanks for the video. I'm about to start potty training with my son. Love the idea of the urinal.

Thanks!!!!
Aw bless him! It must be hard trying to work out how to release it. Good luck training him, apparently boys take longer than girls ah xx
+Emily Norris Thanks Emily! I love the way you make everything fun, I see myself losing my patience but you are always so sweet and happy! You inspire me to do better.
I was ready to give up on day 2 but obviously didn't show that bit in this video :-) ha ha xx
my son now gets up and goes himself if he needs to. we "lifted him " before we went to bed for a while and eventually could just gently wake him and tell him to go and he would go and then get back to bed. it's all a process
It's amazing how they can do it in the night! I was always so amazed with that but it works well xx
Nice video..love all your videos.learnt so much from you😊I started my baby's potty training when she just started sitting i.e. around 5-6 months..that's the way she learnt it faster and she thinks may be this is the way it has to be done😊😉
Omg he is just simply adorable... all your boys are adorable!
Great video as always, have liked it so when Harry's turn comes round I can go to this video. That's what I love about all you u tube mums, you all have great tips and advice. 😀 xx
It is so great that we can all share tips! Other mums know best compared to books I by experts I think! :-) xx
I’ve sat the little potty in the living room, he goes to the bathroom with daddy, always take his shorts and diaper off when he’s outside playing (of course just at home and Grandparents)
Sing him a “T T in the potty” song anytime I’m going to the bathroom.
I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else needs to find out about
toilet training techniques
try Nadazma Potty Plan Helper (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ?
I can't wait to try this with my daughter
Thanks for your advice it has helped me a lot I've been trying to get my almost 3 year old son potty trained I've accomplished potty training 2 girls but having the worst luck with my son do you reccomend no pull ups once I start with undies?
Thank you. So helpful. I will try with my son who is 2years and 2months old starting this June.🤗
Hahahaha your boy is SO cute ! I love your video ❤️
i love your channel so much, yesterday i watched your video about activities with a 6 months old, but with Caleb, you had only 3 subscribers! it is awsome how your channel has grown, you are adorable and amazing. wish tons of more subscribers, love laughs and health for u a d your beautiful family
Nice video and it was helpful
Our day 1 of potty training has been awful! He's 3 in July 😩 my little one just doesn't want to do it at all!
So we now watch him like a hawk 😂
Good luck with it all, we are proof it does work haha xx
+Emily Norris I think you are right!Thank you for your tips!xxx
Hi Emily, which camera do you use for filming please?
Hi I use a Canon G7X xx
It feels like it's easier for children that can talk at least say enough words and sentences. My son is 1 yr 10 months and I want to train him soon but he's not even talking yet just saying a word here and there so I don't know how to explain or have him communicate back. What is the average age for potty training boys? (He doesn't have siblings to learn from)
This was very encouraging! My little girl has just turned two and we're starting to talk about when to get started. Thanks for sharing this!
Thanks so much so glad it helped xx
Thank you for sharing this and well done Caleb! I've seen that green urinal, what a great idea. Parker isn't really for potty training yet, but it's great to get some tips to be as prepared as possible! xx
I would totally wait til they're totally ready as it makes it so much quicker! Xx
The British make going to the potty sound so posh. Love it.
Is he not ready for panties or what? sometimes he is telling before pee, but very often not :( So I am changing clothes every hour :( any advice? tnx
I have a 1 1/2 year old daughter, I’m 24 weeks pregnant with a little girl, and my first born is very impatient when sitting down. Any advice
I love this !!! Thank you so much
Hi there I am having no trouble with the pee but the poo on the other hand is a struggle to get my little one to sit long enough to go , I have tried all the usual stuff toys books etc but to no avail
Your makeup is beautiful ❤️
I've been trying for like a month now.. My son is so STUBBORN!! Thanks for sharing this video :)
Aw it can be stressful! How old is he? Xx
I love the "bye nappies" but "no" to the potty... love this cutie
What do you do with the pee and poop when your done using the carry potty?

Green is his favourite colour
this is brilliant! well done Kayleb! I bet he is so chuffed with himself :) I forget about potty training, my least favourite thing as a mum! already dreading it with the next one! xxx
I know I totally forgot most of the things we did with Fraser first time round - amazing how we forget xx
Cute video. Thanks beautiful mom ❤
I'm Deffo going to follow what you did and hope for the best! My 6 year old did it all by himself at age 2 so Iv never done this before lol x
A wise mom you are! Great job
2020 . Like a cat getting put in a box !! Hilariously true!
I was thinking of introducing it to my 18m old son, but now I’m thinking it might be too young? X
Thank ypu for the idea. I am a preschool teacher and need this to potty train boys in my class
This was such a lovely video with great products , loved them haha ... Im soon to start potty training.
Aw thanks so much! X
👍🏻😉 xx
Great video, as always! My first daughter is now almost 2, but I don't think she is ready.
I think as her mum you definitely know best and its worth waiting until they are as it makes the process so much faster xx
here's a few ideas about ways to potty train
check for signs that your child is ready
talk with the child to make sure they understand
show them pictures to explain
remove diapers/nappies from your house
(I discovered these and why they work from gabs potty blueprint website )
I needed this, thanks for your tips! Love your videos.. I'm thinking about making videos but I'm scared lol you make it look so easy
Aw thanks so much! Don't be scared just start! I used to make videos and not tell anyone and felt awkard for the first 100 videos ha but it is really fun xx
Omg he's so adorable!!

Does Fraser use it as well
Hi my daughter is 23 months and i have started training her but she just dont want to sit on potty. Please guide me
At night is it better to wait till they show signs like they refuse to have a nappy or something?
My son is 3 yrs old and he has special needs what tips do u have for me for him
Omg the foot in the warm water!
Good tips, very helpful I’m going to train my daughter who is 2 years & 6 months!
Let me know how that goes, my daughter is 2 and three months. Potty training is not working, her vocab just isn't up to par. Ugh😪😥😢😓
