This stunning 63 ½ Galaxie had a rotisserie restoration 20 years ago. The car started its life in California and ended up in Dearborn, Michigan, where it was restored. This car was owned by a woman who had a car just like this in high school. She became unable to drive it due to issues with her hands. She purchased the car 15 years ago. It started life as an X-Code 352ci 2bbl with an automatic. It now has a 427ci.
It has won many 1st Place and Best In Show awards in it's time. It was also in Muscle Car Review in September of 2000. It has also been featured on the Speed Channel.

the 63 1/2 is one of the most beautiful cars they ever built
I'm a Mopar guy but a 63 1/2 dual quad 427 Galaxie fastback is my favorite full size car ever made by ANY manufacturer
The only red interior option car I would ever own. Jesus that's beautiful.
One of the best classic cars out there.
Beautiful Galaxie 500 63 1/2 Ford... Custom Work is "OUTSTANDING"....
My dad had a canary yellow black vinyl top with a 390 one aweso m e car Great memories . Allen Ross
My Daddy Had A 1963 Ford Galaxie A Four Door Automatic Transmission Black With White Top A Great Car To Ride In Back In The Day Growing Up!
One the 60's most sleek, beautifully shaped designed car. The 631/2 has always been my favorite big Ford, styling wise
This would be the model whose sales would go straight through the roof...both in 1963 and 1964!
Going to look at one of these tomorrow. Do not think its a 427 but prob a 390 that is the more common motor and its an Automatic. I will be helping the owner market the car. Good to see this to brush up a little on these Large Muscle cars.
That car is raked perfectly. Very sharp car.
Beautiful car. Can you imagine how much work, expense and time it takes to bring a car to that state? Goddamnit I love old Fords.
Beautiful car and the best color for that year.
Wow , this is cool , 7 years ago , I thought I had been following y'all for a long time but I didn't know tall were around then
My great uncle used to have one just like that.
In Michigan the steering assist is illegal unless you’re handicapped, just saying! Beautiful car, would be one I’d buy if money wasn’t an issue!
Love that sleeper
Sammy Hagar likes red too! He's the Red Rocker!
Its like a hybrid with the 50's style still very present in this car.
My oldest brother had one of those back in the 60s
You said the date on the engine was November 22, 1963... that was the day Kennedy was shot.
Drum brakes with no power assist. How in the world did they get these things stopped?? Ha Ha. Love the 63.5 models -- remember when they hit the streets and strips -- a force to contend with.
Actually, it was no problem at all. I had that in my '69 Camaro. You could lock up the tires easily.
I just found this on a search, so my comments is a bit late. The first "Muscle Car" is the Ford Galaxie XL - Not the Pontiac GTO. Let's remind everyone.
Beautiful.
10:02 dated at 11-22-63, the day JFK was assassinated
SWEET
It's very nice. It's got an XL steering wheel even though it's a Galaxie 500, not an XL.
Check out that huge back seat. Swap the 427 for a 390 and you have the exact same car my 49 year old daughter was conceived in. : )
One neighbor of mine had one in black.
Sheriff Andy Taylor's car!
It’s always the round key on a Ford!
In late 60's the fastback was my college car ... Why did I part with it?
That'sy ticket to heaven
Shes a beauty. 👍
