That's because they are for race cars by Ford as in the 64 Ford Thunderbolt 427. The hood scoop is cool as heck! And it destroyed the heavy Chevys at the time, that's why you probably hate it. Lmfao 🤣
That's what I was thinking as well, seems like a mix-mash of parts. Don't know about the interior of this car as an XL had different seats both front and rear? However this is not a Galaxie 500 XL. Enjoy your 427 Galaxie.

I have a correctly fully restored 1963 1/2 black/red Galaxie 500 XL "R" code car. This is a nice car, but it was not fully restored correctly.

@@briansearles4473 I didn't state that this car is a Galaxie 500 XL. It has bucket seats and a center console, but the car is NOT an XL interior.
