  • Why did they do this? Is this the answer to the Mini driver from Taylormade? Is the Callaway Ai Smoke Mini driver the best mini driver of 2024? I will be revealing all in this video and there is one thing for sure, you are going to be surprised, because I was. There is one big question that I am going to be answering today, why did Callaway do this with the Ai Smoke Mini driver in 2024? Was it a mistake?
    Taylormade released the mini driver at the start of the season and the golf world went crazy for it...its time to see how Callaway mini driver stacks up?

      I've done the same. Taylormade mini driver 13.5 degree set slightly higher as my three wood and have an 18 degree hybrid. Thinking of getting the 21 degree hybrid to replace my 4 iron. Trying to make the top end of my bag as easy to hit as possible with my destructive shots all of the tee!!

    It nearly looked like you just replayed the first shot again and again, they looked so similar. I am actually thinking of going to the store to look at this driver. I don't really want to use it off the deck, which is why this looks more appealing than the TM mini driver that is more like a big fairway. The larger head should make it more forgiveness off the tee. The two clubs seems different in that the TM version seems more like a 3W replacement and this looks more like a tee club (despite you actually hitting well off the deck).

    Looks amazing. I think the 13° loft is the reason for the 265 carry. It's not bad yardage, but with a few extra degrees delofted, you could probably carry that thing a bit closer to 300 yards. It doesnt seem like a lot, but it's consistent with what I shoot using my 13° FW compared to my 9.25° driver

So on your suggestion (Dr, Mini, 5w) you have 2 clubs that do pretty much the exact same thing 🙄 But again you and the majority of us are tour pro quality like Fleetwood. @@BB-pg5kl the overwhelming? You sure like to sound hyperbolic. Nice try at sounding informed. This is a niche club and lots of people who buy it are better than average golfers. Callaway actually only offered this initially as a limited quantity custom option. Sure, some people who can’t play driver will try this thinking it’s their answer but are going to find out quickly it’s not the club, it’s them. They will then dump it for a normal sized driver.
      There are plenty of people who have two dedicated tee clubs. Whether it’s utility/driving iron, a low spin 3 wood or now have the option of a mini driver offered in 11.5 and 13.5 lofts. The 5 wood is also very good choice for mid handicapper as it can be easier to hit off the ground and launch in the air. • @stuartbaker3897
      @stuartbaker3897 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Spot on.
      Mind you a 2-wood is needed - 90+% of golfers get no benefit of a driver over a 2-wood and that always been so, even going back to wooden headed woods. Put the tee ball in play, the lure of a supposed 10 yard increase with the driver is a myth, anyone who's not better than scratch has a better AVERAGE distance and direction with a 2-wood. Cleveland make 12 degree drivers that I'd guess are better and cheaper than mini drivers. Hitting a stronger 'wood' than a modern 5-wood off the deck is pointless if you're not better than scratch - but bring back the 4-wood. Carry a 12 degree driver and a 4-wood and 4 wedges is, I think, a better proposition.

    The flaw is it's a copy - Callaway can't keep up with Taylormade. Joke

      Callaway brought one out before Taylormade though I think.
