I used to play this at Random Lake, Wisconsin. My dad would take us swimming and my brother and I would play Tron in a little arcade in the back of the snack shop on the beach. Good times! :)

I’m not sure the original cab had UV art on the outside, I’ll check when I’m next in. Funnily enough, the original Pac-Man cabs had blue UV paint! You can get plastic diffuser strips to hide the glaring UV LEDs :)
Where did you order it from only seen them on eBay for around 1k 😕 I’ve got the Star Wars cab and looking forward to dragon’s lair cab but getting this would complete my most nostalgic cabs. Awesome vid amazing cab 👍🏻 enjoy buddy you luck man 👍🏻 All the best jay.

How did you manage to get a Tron machine in the UK? I've been looking to purchase a Tron cabinet for a while, but can't seem to find a supplier who will ship to UK.
I got it through a Facebook group called Arcade 1up UK imports or something to that effect. I don't think the guy imports them anymore as it wasn't financially viable for him, so my Tron was in the last batch he shipped over. Hopefully there's other companies that would offer a similar service.
Also! The original Tron joystick uses the same mechanism as an original Pac-Man :) the micro switches are easily replaceable in the 1up if you want to get your hands dirty :)
it's cool looking cabinet no doubt. But I'm glad I passed on Tron. those games are just not my cup of tea. Much rather spend my money on a Marvel vs Capcom 2.

Is that the blue flecks all over the Pac-man cabs? Didn't bother doing that on mine.

No way man, contact 1up, have them send you a new marquee. You're gonna be bummed if you don't get it fixed.

I just set my Tron up earlier this week and have been having a great time with it. How has the controls held up for you?
The controls are fine as I rarely play it. (I'm too afraid of breaking the stick! 😂) Maybe I should just buy the GRS replacement stick just in case!

I'm not too bothered about it not clicking, as long as it works. I'll probably have to change it at some point if it breaks.
Dude I order mine in October, received it in late December and I still haven't built it.
You should build it and check it before the warranty runs out. Mine was dead after 30 mins of use. An A1Up had no replacement parts.

I noticed on the arcade 1 up on discs of tron there’s no background artwork. On Mame you can add it.
There's no speech either. I was hoping it would be included with the update ☹️

Tron is like one of the worst arcade games ever made. Completely ponderous.
