I watch your plant explanation in your video with interest. You are talking about uneven watering, where the plants develop unevenly. You replace part of the existing potting soil. Now you are using a closed pot, without a drainage hole in the bottom. I myself try to create a kind of semi-hydroponic culture in such pots in the closed plant pot. For example, by filling a (small) terracotta inner pot upside down on the bottom of the large pot, around it with hydro grain, something of a saucer or carrot cloth over the hydro grain so that the soil will not settle between the hydro grain. In this way I create a drainage and water buffer for the plant. This way I can water the plant more generously with larger ones in between. The excess water drains underground into the buffer. The roots can grow to the water along the sides. Roots in water usually go well, roots in continuously moist soil can suffocate and rot. The soil can now dry up until the next watering time. Sometimes I create a water fill point so that I can water the plants from below. The plant roots will then grow more naturally down to the water (buffer). I have not continued studying for this, nor am I very good at getting and keeping my plants in the best condition. It is often more careful neglect of my plants, with still reasonable results. In addition, I have made it a sport / hobby to propagate my plants through various usual or more experimental methods. Usually with varying results. Nowadays I frequently watch your videos about plant care, also many other videos from others. I sometimes get inspiration from it, I also find it relaxing and just fun to (be able to) share experiences about plants. I like to see it grow and bloom in and around the house. I often fill my windowsills with my cuttings and plants, even in the smallest corners, in the living room, bedroom, hobby room, shower and toilet, and outside under a shelter in the summer. I then dispose of many plants to other enthusiasts to create space. I only have a small number of plant species that are resistant to irregular care, are easy to propagate and recover after a lesser period. I wish you the best of luck with your inspiring plant videos. Regards, Marcel.

It's just so weird how much attention that tree gets in the West.
In the Philippines, it's a trash plant that's super common. They usually come as gifts all twirled up together with a ribbon. They grow way too quickly in a tropical climate and it gets too lanky for people.
Some plant it in the ground and it grows even faster, and people don't want to keep pruning (with machetes) so most just throw them away.
I've seen some in the streets that broke their pots and rooted in cracks in the pavement.

    • @cefcat5733

@@MoonBeamLight Wasn't fun. Used a solution of warm water, 3 or so drops of liquid dish detergent and some drops of baby oil. Shake while it is warm and use later. It was sad but I sprayed the heck out of the bugs and plant... and cut off a lot of affected leaves. It looked pretty bare but it was summer. I put it outside in indirect sunlight and it got new tiny leaves. I sprayed it again and removed more leaves which the bugs wrecked, as needed. I also washed the plant with the shower head in the tub. It's coming back now with a plant light inside, but slowly. There are lots of good videos about that. Mine had spider mites. Try more Summer Rayne videos 'Plant one on me' or Planting Mindfully, Miss Orchid Girl but there are so many which are good on pest control. I didn't want to use poisons because of my pets.
