I've followed this car and recently bought a MK7 Manual 3dr R. Not directly as a result but as an upgrade from my S1 a few cars ago that i really did miss. Such a capable car in all weathers, some say boring, I say mighty impressive.
Nice to see a car been driven instead of been sat on a drive, hoping it will make Money in years to come. Go and enjoy the cars instead of treating them as an investment.
Just joined the channel and i noticed you mentioned cooling. I suggest a water meth installation. I have it on my audi 2.0t. Not only dost it cool the engine right down but cleans the back of the valves. I habe mone hooked up to the manifold so its sprayed into each individual cylinder. You can put it on the intake but cant guarantee equal distribution. Please let Misha Charoudin take that beast for a spin when you get to the nurb ring
Its been awesome to see this car change from what it was when you first had it to the beast we see before us today. The back end definitely needs an angry looking defuser to go with that big wang though 👌 Cant wait to see whats next for it
My stage3 530bhp mk7.5 ticked on 100k the other day. 2017 plate owned for 6yrs from brand new with only 14 miles on at the time. Only recently its been having a couple of running issues, brake servo fault & engine missfire on cylinder 2🔥💵😂😂
From a person that has owned many VAG products, how do you handle the Asian Brand(s) crowds that say VAG products are terrible, unreliable garbage? Here in the USA ins Sunny Southern California owning a VW GTI I feel like the odd ball. You do see some VW's out there, but most are leased, and considering last year VW only sold 8,000 GTI's the WHOLE year in the USA its a low volume car here. So my question to make a long story longer, do you find yourself defending the VAG cars like the R or GTI there in the UK as much as I seem to have to here in the USA? I think they are brilliant. Sales numbers here say otherwise. Your thoughts?
7R is a not sport but its obviously fast just an exemple bentley other hand gti is a sport car that what i dont get it alot ppl wont accept that fact* even VW said same thing so...
I know you can make a bit of money back from the TH-cam channel, but how you feel like spending a lot of DINERO in a car in mods and depreciation and having to sell it afterwards? Currently building a car slowly by slowly, but everytime I think graciously I'm like "well if I sell my car now, I won't get all the money back" Example current cost is about 12.000€, and I could sell it for 7.500€ - 8.000€ at market value and I still have about 3.000€-3.500€ more to spend xD
@@AndyxPandy Not only modifying, but mostly restoring and maintenance. When I can, I obviously upgrade it. Well my car is quite old, so no wonders it requires more take care off
@@Chico.00 Not all people buy cars to sell them, I have a R running similar power but dsg, long term its going to be a track day car. Too many people care about image and put themselves in financial difficulties worrying what other people think. These are insanely good cars for the money and they respond so well to tuning, regarding depreciation they aren't dropping that much, maybe you lose around £1k a year on the cars value, I would say they will be a stable £10-£12k within the next 2-3 years. Regarding mods, try and buy used parts, that way you can get back what you've spent, also do the labour yourself, that way you don't lose so much. I personally wouldn't put money into a car I'm going to get rid of unless it was a restoration project, I think I'll keep my car for at least 10 years, maybe longer, I don't actually plan to sell at all.
I’ve just gone over 111,000 in my Leon Cupra 280. It’s going strong 💪🏼

Waiting for 200k miles now
The MK7 R is such a beautiful design. Timeless.
The Golf R Mk 7 doesn't miss a beat. One of the best cars and solid build.
I've had like three mk7s. Still one of the best cars out there all these years later imo
Micheldever to Overton then out towards Kingsclere. Great driving roads 👍
you can 100% improve thee golf just by taking that picnic table off the front haha
Must be insane to drive that thing on the road 🚀🚀
Is your haldex working at all? Seems to be spinning the front wheels a lot
Are you planning to run the verkline subframes and rear arms ?
😎👍 as a golf R owner would like to hear about maintenance thanks
it's s**t 😅😅😅
U should already know since U have one
Maintenance is fk all and what you'd expect for an awd DSG car with 400hp
Service the DSG and everything else like with every car on the fucking planet
Use it for what it was built for. How many track days have you done in it? I believe TD's don't do too well on YT is that correct?
Those rattles would drive me crazy 🤪 id need noise cancelling headphones 🎧

other than it going into limp on track have you sorted that yet?
Stunning beast of a car great update looking forward to next update good luck my friend
Thank you
Good update vid, take it to Ares, get him to install an oil cooler, Iabed sump and maybe get your internals upgraded at the same time 😊
Been watching since day dot mate! Keep going!
Just clicked over to 120,000 in my mk3 cupra 280
What oil do you use? I run stage 3 golf R Manual, and never had temps go above 110 on track days using MOTUL 300V 5w40
Nordschleife awaits your temps?

I also remember Misha saying it was too stiff for the Ring... soften it up for your own benefit
Awesome build!, my Mk8R is crap compare to this ;)
76k for me ❤

Nice mate, what exhaust you running
Scorpion
That’s actually impressive
I always had this anxiety over 100k car would give me issues… obviously that’s clearly not the case if the car is cared for
WTF I was watching previous vids of early mods you did then bam this one where it was a modded stock car to a race car lol.

Mileage doesn’t matter , buy a new engine cars back on 0 mileage , shell will last aslong as your maintenance is on point 😂🎉 Rs3 swap at 150k 🫡🫡
Brilliant video mine's on 90k so still a way off. Might just keep it 😂
After following you for years, I’m guessing externally a wrap. 😂
My stage 2, 16 plate mk7 R just coming up 50k
Dragy times?? Surely with all your involvement in this car you would have those.
This is screaming for a custom remap!
Surely the next milestone is 114k to match the plate 👌
How about my 450bhp hybrid turbo Cayman as your next car? Kai
0-60?
At least show us the engine 😢as a first time viewer and now subscriber
