Awee my little brother hada condition that was basically severe soinus and ear infections but amplified so he could barely breathe and (we didnt know for 2 years cause a crappy doctor) but he could hardly hear which is why he wasnt talking so we got it fixed and he hasnt shut up since! Lol
Yup, my grandpa has this exact same condition. He had surgery for it many years ago but his eyelids will still never be able to open as wide as everyone else’s.
I don't have this, but I just realized this month that I don't open my eyes as wide as everyone else does. Now I have to train myself to open my eyes the appropriate amount.
@piztah his eyes lids were too weak it was hard for him to see. Even if he could lift his eyelids above so he could see, it is very difficult to constantly be doing that just to be able to see. I think surgery improved it a lot, but not fully.

Ptosis is drooping of the eyelid, meaning it sags down. Typically from trauma or weakness to the muscles or damage to nerves that control the face. Unless you had a stroke or have a neuromuscular disorder like myasthenia gravis, you probably don't have it. It would also be pretty obvious if you were born with congenital ptosis.
I am Asian too but I was adopted when I was very young by American parents but believe me, I understand about a lot of racism. I went through it a lot.
as a northern asian who can open his eyes... wait I'm just a southern asian then yeee haw g'day padner the Mississippi river don't look so wide round here 🤠
Lol no the forehead trick isn’t real, most people’s forehead muscles flex when they open their eyes wider. Ptosis is actually when your top eyelid(s) literally do not move to a certain degree. Like your eyebrows will move up but your upper eyelids don’t, or don’t to the same extent.
I have the same, I deduced it was the years of cramming in entire calculus, real analysis, statistics, and algebra modules over one night as revision for Maths degree exams

The bunny drawing dude!!
this is gold . love u man
I don't have this since I *can* open my eyes wider, but naturally I have what people tend to call "sleepy eyes." Opening my eyes more feels weird, my eyelids just naturally sit halfway. Sometimes it makes people think I'm glaring at them lmao
People always assume I’m sad/crying when I’m just going about my day.
I don't have "sleepy eyes" but I think they're very pretty and cool :)
@@popmybubblegum they are really inconvenient. People will always assume you have passion for nothing and working on power save mode all the time.
same i always look kinda tired, it's weird because when I'm really exited about something I can see my full ires and then im like what why can't I normally do that, because I always stare at my friends eyes and I'm like why can't I see the full circle in my eyes it looks like I'm trying to be scary when I do it looks creepy and stupid

Knew a super nice kid in my high school with this condition. He seemed super unapproachable because it gave him rbf, but he was a pretty chill dude who didn't talk much. Hope he's doin good
Ok. That drawing was really cute
I worked in a daycare center and we had a little baby there who needed surgery for a similar condition. He could barely open his eyes before surgery, and after the surgery he was so clearly thrilled to be able to see everything!
I bet he was. That must’ve been amazing watching his excitement & joy at every new thing.
Awee my little brother hada condition that was basically severe soinus and ear infections but amplified so he could barely breathe and (we didnt know for 2 years cause a crappy doctor) but he could hardly hear which is why he wasnt talking so we got it fixed and he hasnt shut up since! Lol
Awwww
♡
there is nothing wrong with him his eyes are his cultures features they are nice
@piztah eyelid surgery can be done for both medical and cosmetic reasons. Especially for older individuals ptosis can cause a decrease in vision.
@piztah his eyes lids were too weak it was hard for him to see. Even if he could lift his eyelids above so he could see, it is very difficult to constantly be doing that just to be able to see. I think surgery improved it a lot, but not fully.
same bro im also asian i feel ur pain
Monolid is so cute ❤
As an artist I've never seen the type of eyes I like to draw on a real person. They're actually pretty satisfying to look at, not to mention the amount of subject matter I could get just off your face💀🤣

Your eyes look nice anyway!
That bunny diagram is real art
When my gf asks me if I'm asleep when clearly I'm wide awake.
I feel you brother and I'm not even asian.
One of my Exes eyes always looked closed(mainly because of his weight), so, even if he was awake, if he was doing nothing while sitting or laying, you'd assume he was just asleep. ( ˊᵕˋ; )
So why is your baby Asian?
I find Asian eyes to be so beautiful!!
That bunny diagram looks like something Rukia would draw
OMG I literally just studied this condition and I'm taking a break and look what I randomly find lol
not random, google being intrusive
Google be listening
@@tsm688 One time I was talking to my hub about finding a daycare. I was returning to work and we needed care for our first child. Long and behold I saw a “random” daycare ad about one near our house. Ironically I did pick it, but it was crazy bc I NEVER researched anything about it. Haven’t gotten an ad for daycares since either.

Mine are the same lol. Didn't even know. And I'm white. Although I googled it an it says a little different meaning, like it suddenly falling shut, not drooping. Now it's saying it is a lower sitting position, it's varying between 3 completely different things, I'm confused
You should smoke less and see if it works
@@No__Vanity I don't smoke
@@SK-zi3sr lmao 😂
It can mean any of those because the condition just refers to the eyelid muscles not working
Your eyes are beautiful

@@lostsprite688 oh wowsers mister! I sure do appreciate it. Really it was all in joking.
Oh…well this is informative for me. And my eyelids don’t work neither…well good to know.
That emotional damage bit cracked me up
The rukia drawing for explain made my day
urge to hug rising. **hugs**
Glad you finally figured out it was a medical condition though!
