Best repair video I've ever seen. Youve saved me 130. I bought the repair kit but was clueless about how to access the plastic cylinder that the cable wraps around..thank you so much
@bbuucc Thanks for your comment, it's music to my ears. I love it when one of my videos encourages someone to tackle and job and save some money. Good work, it's not an easy job! 👍
Thanks! Yep, a methodical approach is a big benefit on any job! Window regulator proved to be more difficult and more time consuming than I expected. But another DIY job done and no need to pay anyone to do it 👍
@@ReviveMyRide exactly my thoughts, doesnt matter if u can afford a garage to do the job or not, its the satisfaction of doing it urself and knowing its done correctly !!
The full mechanism is about £200 from BMW + labour if you don't fancy fitting it yourself. I have seen prices on forums for around £450 for the full job. What I would say is that replacing a full unit is much easier than repairing the old unit. And of course, a full replacement should last another 15yrs. So, as usual, it's down to personal choice how you decide to tackle it. 👍

How much would a full replacement mechanism be from BMW
