    Awesome experience, especially seeing the NACS port up close. I have a R2 reservation, but I think I'm more partial to the R3X now.

      Such a tough decision seeing them both. The R2 is larger and may be a direct competitor to the Model Y. The R3X is smaller I'm still partial on the steering wheel. I didn't get to touch or feel it. I'm just going off by the way it looks. I guess it's similar to the R1T steering wheel and I'm used to it. Just looks different - maybe because it's a smaller car?

    I put a reservation on the R2 the moment RJ rolled it out during the reveal event and have been excited ever since. While I enjoyed seeing these much-anticipated vehicles in a newer video, I’m surprised you didn’t do more research on the R2 before attending. There isn’t a quad motor in the works for the R2/R3, only single, dual or tri. RJ said that from the beginning. There are also size charts available and tons of videos out there with all the information you were wondering about, with some of the best from Kyle at Out of Spec Reviews. It was great to see more footage of these bad boys, I was just hoping for a more informed perspective going into the overview.

      Thank you for the feedback. I misspoke about the quad motor over my excitement. I automatically think quad when seeing the yellow color. I watch Out of Spec as well. I try not to watch too much R2/R3 stuff until I see it for myself in person so I can get a more genuine first impression going in. Now that I've seen it finally in person, I can watch those other videos.

      @@sherwinm I can see where that may take away from your fresh approach. I really enjoy watching your videos, though, so keep ‘em coming!

    On the R3 X wouldn’t the holes in the seats get uncomfortable? They looked pretty big and hurtful. What are your thoughts?

      13:32 yeah I see what you mean

    • @sherwinm
      @sherwinm  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's true. Although I didn't get to touch the seats, I assume it's soft, but ya it would feel weird having those holes. Hopefully as time passes, they will allow people to get inside and explore the interior more.

      These are VERY early prototypes. I suspect that seat design won't make it to production.

    Would you say this is ruffly the size of a jeep wrangler, or bigger/smaller?

    • @sherwinm
      @sherwinm  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I googled it. It says the R2 wheelbase is 115.6" compared to Jeep at 118.4". The R2 is slightly shorter. But length wise I don't know (bumper to bumper)

      I don’t think they will. I know previous generation Tesla Model S has sunroof but they got rid of that too.

    Why does no one talk about R3?

    • @sherwinm

      There aren't many Rivian locations to begin with and I believe this is the only built R3X. Rivian is touring it around their locations. Not many are able to go and check them out up close and in person. But I think this will sell a lot as a hot hatch. Specially in Europe, if they sell them there.

    Paid parking is BS. I live in So Cal and pay so much in taxes anyway. Parking should be free. There's also a scam going on where people are putting fake QR code stickers on top of real ones for the parking sites. Be careful when scanning QR codes.

    • @sherwinm
      @sherwinm  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I found out later that the street parking was free untill 11am (I think) but I had already paid in the back. Yes, I saw that on the news... so many scammers.
