Whenever I see a place this decayed, or really any place I try and imagine the original owners walking around, maybe talking but doing day to day life things. Did these people ever imagine what their place would be like 30 years from now.
@Jennifer P, Me too! My dad's people are from a WVa coalmining holler. Theres a bunch of old places around there we could stop at and maybe even have some relatives we could talk to! Would be so exciting and did you notice the quilt hanging out of the dark trunk? I wanted to look at that so bad! LOL
Another great video guys, it makes you wonder what the lives of the people who lived there were like, they laughed, cried, threw parties, celebrated hollidays, etc inside that house, crazy when you think about it!
You two are so adventurous, the decay in the home was beyond anything I've seen in your vids. I was actually grossed out at times. Thanks for taking the time to show us everything and more. God Bless and be safe.
I LOVE how Bekah took her time to go over things slowly. So many explorers pass over items and architectural features way too fast! Beautifully done. Thanks! Be careful out there :)
This is such a nice video. Seeing all the stuff was great I'm happy to be back.I cant believe still what I was dealing with, with that family member I told yall about in my previous comments. Now she can no longer bother me
Good job you 2! I read the comments and you handle harsh criticism soo politely ♡ Very brave walking around in this house Yikes!!!! Such a shame to see some of those items rotting away.
At 19:05, the washing machine has the remains of a yellow Energy Guide label. They have been required on appliances in the USA since 1980. The second washer on the left is from the early 1970s, based on the avocado green finish.
The first version of Energy Guide were white, & came out around 1985 as my parents bought one then & I vividly remember it. My grandmother bought new appliances around 1994/5 & they were white. Must have been some time in the very late 1990's they were changed to yellow. When I was shopping for a new fridge 5 yrs ago I remember them being yellow.
Really enjoyed this video ! You guys do a great job and by the by Rick , we oldersters aren't offended when called old just thankful God has let enjoy so many years with family and friends and fun !!!
Enjoyed the video. Wish you could have looked at the glass ware in the kitchen closer. There were some great old stock pots and roaster pans there. The plate on the wall you saw in the bedroom is actually a metal cover used to cover a chimney hole for a stove pipe. It was opposite the fireplace in the living room. Not sure what they are actually called. As usual, great video!
Hi you 2! I have so many comments! The soldier's photo: I think there's a lot of African-American history in that house. The plate on the wall: it could be covering a hole that an old wood stove pipe went through to the chimney. Yes, teapot=gravy boat. To commenters who think you're messing up someone's home: honestly???? Sad to say it was left to rot. Hopefully someone interested in African-American heritage will see this and rescue some of the artifacts! Good exploring Rick and Bekah!
I love the walkway the stairs and first thing we see is a old ass sewing machine this explore much like the rest is not going to disappoint you guys find the best abandoned homes .... The focus on your camera is kick ass in this video. The natural decay from being left alone so long is just crazy
Abandoned NW FL I have my grandmother 's sewing machine. Got all the parts too, even the key plus alot of old things for sewing in the drawers. plus her old fold out sewing box. I did try and sell it at one time. But then I changed my mine. I really do not think the kids want it. I just did not want too see it in a Good Will store. I wish fir someone to treasure it like I haved. I love alot of things from the far past. I even have her Shiftrob closet with key.
Another great site. Can't say enough about Bekah's great camera work. Yes, that big fuse thing was a TV or radio "tube". There was a very large book on the shelf at 32:34 - probably an unabridged dictionary. There were purses in the same area, would like to have seen those. My wife collects them. This one may need a re-visit. Too much to see.
I just a few days ago discovered your channel I'm making my way through the play list.. I love Bekha her camera work is amazing I enjoy she takes time for details.
I am watching while posting.I will say this is the most dangerous house you and Bekah have been in. Bekah you have guts to do this one. Proud you did it and was safe..
You guys do a fantastic job filming!! You take your time and really show everything! Great job and thank you for sharing!!! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!🎄🎅🏼🎁
They used asbestos in a lot of building products in 40s ,50s, and 60s.Floor tiles.Drop ceilings, and a whole bunch of other stuff for its fire retardant nature. Once those products dry and breakup ,the dust gets in the air.Be Careful and keep exploring.Love the videos.
I notices so many of these abandon homes had so many sofa's and chairs must have had lots of company or lots of people living there but not so many bedrooms strange. Another good find guys
I have to say that I am surprised about this place.. personally I would be picking out things I like and looking everything over and only once I took stuff.. since most of it was going to waste anyway.. I'm a salvage type of person, I like to save what I can. I know it's wrong but I've taken mainly books and some small things like dishes, otherwise they would have been lost. I also love it when I find a box of free items by the roads, I get things and either find a use for them or sell them for a dollar as for the stuff I found in the house, I found uses for them at least.. and I take coins and such when I find them.. but the only time I did it was with campers, I went through a few of them that were pretty much trashed... I picked up tons of pennies and a few dimes.. I love finding free stuff I have had a lot of luck finding stuff on sides of roads.. found a good hammer on one trip and odd screwdrivers
Whenever there’s medication laying around for you should read the drug names. For us health professionals it can paint a picture of what these people we’re dealing with and add more pieces to the puzzles. That stuff is important. You just state medication bottles and continue on. Read the drugs out loud. Thanks
Demetrios Argyris probably squatter drug addicts who stole purses and wallets and prescription medications and dumped the evidence in the abandoned home.
Just found your channel, great video's. I noticed at the very end when you where shooting the front door from the inside that the curtain moved like someone was looking out the door windows, kinda spooky, I had to go back to the beginning to see if the glass was still in the door. I know it was probably just the wind, but still spooky. Love the vids, keep them coming...
Those glasses did remind me of looking at old people from my childhood. My Grandparents had glasses just like those! Plus, the magazine with the car ads, my Grandparents had a van exactly like that one in the early 90's.
You're amazing, Bekah, how you can see where you're walking in all of that stuff and still keep filming.......and you're reasonably steady too. Well done! Oh, been meaning to ask. Do you get a $1 or 2 if we watch the lead-in ad? I was told you do so I watch them because you don't seem to take any items you come across, even when you could get a reasonable return. But if you don't I'll cease watching them. ;)
I did that without realising it did anything...woohoo! If I do it enough times, you'll be able to buy all the safety gear you need. :) I hope everyone starts to do it if they don't already.
That last room you were in .....the bed frame is VERY old !!! An antique. Wonder if there was a foot board too ? I sure hate when people just go in and turn everything upside down !! WHY!?!
One of those"bulbs" is for either a radio or TV. Looked like one of the items could have been a cb radio. They had pretty nice furniture. That one headboard looked to be antique cherry or walnut. Shame it is left to decay.
Those old "light bulbs" you kept seeing and the thing you called a fuse are old tubes likely out of the TV there or an old radio that might be or was around. I hate that good things are left to rot. And I agree there's what's left of a dog in the kennel. Looks like he tried to scratch and bite his way out.
I recognised them as I hobby in antique Electronics. Not for their TV but a 1930 Radio, & the thing Rick called a drawer was actually an empty loudspeaker cabinet from the 1920's, so they for sure had ancient Radios at one time. I kind of quit due to it being so cost prohibitive to buy replacement Tubes & knobs etc. Also likely they were faulty ones a repairmen left after a service call. Personally I think the Dog Kennel bite marks came from Raccoons. I noticed there was a wooden chair chewed to splinters by a Raccoon. Likely a Pup crawled in & was "trapped" & chewed frantically until mother rescued him or her.
Enjoying these videos of peaceful exploration. Especially good that they aren't littered with jarring and annoying swearing which always ruins the mood.
awesome video guys!!! . hate that it was so bad you couldn't get to everything . as always love the detail . lot of people would of just gave up on it. keep up the good work guys
When I moved from the last couple of places I lived I for a few minutes, or maybe even a few hours just walked around and took a good hard look, not just briefly imagining when we first moved into the place but imagining all that happened while living in that place.
Once again great video both of you should where Some good boots to protect your feet you never know what you’re going to Tread on great camerawork bekah best wishes from UK
OH NO!! I collect old sewing machines. Hate to see this out there. Probably somebody was it and it got too heavy. There is so much nice stuff left in there to rot. So much stainless steel in the kitchen. I saw one chair that, it it is original, it would be worth hundreds, maybe thousands of $$. A cedar chest, a bent glass china cabinet. Unreal that this is all wasted. Have you ever considered finding the owner of some of these buildings and offering them a few hundred $$ for the contents?
Really great video! That 'little case' you found in the desk drawer is a business card holder. It said: 'Cari N Littleton - Sewing a Little Goodwill'. If you dont know what something is it would be better if you didnt say 'huh? wassat'
I really love the attention to detail.Example opening drawers, cabinets it just interesting to see how people lived back then and what there interest were.Love seeing the antiques. Mask are needed for all that mold ect.Just concerned.Keep up the great videos love watching yall.
Finally got to finish watching the whole thing. This place was fascinating. I can't believe just how badly it has decayed over the years. But sometimes all it takes is the start of one little leak in the ceiling and ignoring it for all those years just makes it worse and worse until it just rots away. The car on the magazine was a first generation Chevrolet Lumina, which places that magazine around 1990-1994 as 1994 was the last year of that generation. It almost looked like a Z34 model, which was the sportier version. But to think though, this was probably at one point someone's dream house, and that it was nice and new, and now it's to the point it'll have to be torn down. I don't think there's any saving it to be honest. I liked in the one "forest" room how the light fixture was just hanging from the electrical wiring as there was really no roof left for it to be attached to anymore.
I can most certainly agree with that. Reminds me a bit of the Forest Temple from Ocarina of Time...I mean part of the house is intact and very much house-like and you go into another part and there's trees and grass and plants growing naturally in it. I'm guessing that's probably where any sort of water damage first started taking place since it's rotted out the worst. I honestly wonder how many more years it'll survive before it just completely falls apart.
That "fuse " thing that you found was actually a vacuum tube for old school electronics. That "plate" on the wall you found in the last room was a cover for a stove pipe meaning there was stove in that room at one time.
Crazy Stuff! Spooky too.But I would love to explore these places as you do. 22:22 I believe is an old radio or TV tube. TV looks to be from the late 70s early 80s.At 32:08 there was an old Super 8 movie reel.
This home saw life last in (I'll be very close) as far away as 1998 to as close as 2000. I saw a # of late 1990s to early 2000's items scattered about mainly in the kitchen area, plus the hallway light fixture is very familiar to me I installed a couple like it in around 1997. You must know, many elderly ppl keep things like empty Medicine bottles to remind themselves "when my elbow acts up again" & re-read old letters & cards, & to pass on their old purses etc. You do good videos, I like them but if you are into taking advice from strangers, mine is this; Please don't predicate each statement with "OLD" - "Hey an OLD shoe/calendar/book" etc. By default, e v e r y t h I n g in a house vacant for more than 6 months, ...will be "old" "Hey, a "Romance novel, ...from ..oh 1974" or "Green shoes" .. exceptions are NEW Flies, new Mice, & their new babies... & new foot prints.. :-) Someone took out their Fridge & Stove, & was about to leave with their Sewing Machine, but changed their minds. It looks like it sat about 1 week in the spot you found it.
I LOVE the videos, but I do agree. I guess it is like writing an essay. You don't want to use the same adjective every time. I also wasn't around in the 70's, so I am not coming at it from an offended place. :)
I love your videos! Keep up the great work with all the cool abandoned places. Would love to see more hospitals if you could find any. Small suggestion... you should have more commentary. It's not life or death if you don't, just like extra commentary through the videos. Anyway, keep it up, I love the videos!
I'd love to blab more but people don't seem to like it very much. Trying to have a middle ground balance for people who hate talking and those who like it. Sorry. Thanks:)
If the color looks peely or faded, there fake. Light weight there fake. I have heard some jewelers will try and see if they break with there teeth. If theycrack or break, there fake. I would not recommend the teeth thing unless you want too.
"Hold one or two pearls between your thumb and forefinger and press them gently into the biting edge of your teeth. Rub them against your teeth with a side to side motion. A real pearl will usually have a slightly rough or gritty texture from tiny scale like imperfections in its outer layers of nacre" THIS PART SOUNDS LIKE IF THEY HAVE NOT BEEN MADE INTO A NECKLASS. Maybe. Fake pearls have the same size and shape. It is very rare for a perfect pearl. That is why they are very expensive at times more than others. True pearls are usually cool even when hot days and fake ones are usually warm in hot days. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU AND BEKAH OUT. It would be a great find for your wife if you found one. I do not steal. But gold, pearls, silver and diamonds. I think I would have to think on that, in these abandoned places. I would have to think hard on that one. But I guess you would have to find ones that they haven't been vandalized yet or the people that go in just to vandalized to steal. Lolololol
Lol my dad use to buy old houses and flip them. One day when I was a kid he saw a house w the grass grown up and needing a lot of work. He got out of the car and looked in the window and there sat s elderly grandma in a rocking chair. Lol, he about had a heart attack. IDK if she saw him it not
That old glass ''fuse looking thing'' in that drawer is an old vacuum tube. If it was an old RCA original stock KT88 and it worked, you could sell it for about $150. If it is a Mullard tube, $200. You need to learn about these things. Actually I looked again and its a TungSol rectifier tube.
Rick and Bekah, I love your explorations and Bekah's sweetness. My husband and I think you two are adorable. Rick, you make us giggle at times too! But PLEASE PLEASE WEAR MASKS! You are exposing yourselves to dangerous molds, asbestos, lead, critter droppings, possible disease and so many other substances you are unaware of. I worry for you both. Take care and be safe.
I am more of a shower persons and yes I do think that someone used to shower and do all kinds of things thousands of times over in that area. You can almost see a temporal, probabilistic cloud of all the motions their body has ever made in that space. imagine all the water that flowed through there.
On the mantel the regal canister was used to moisturize oxygen. It would be large bore tubing attached to the canister and then to a mask for the face or on a tracheotomy tube and of course the whole thing attached to oxygen. I am a Respiratory Therapist so this is why I know. Hope it made sense. Lol
the pots and pans look nice like something I would find if I were shopping in the use store because I always go there and look for those and those look really nice
You should be looking for things taped under the dresser drawers. A friend of mine who does estate clean ups found $200 taped to the underneath of a drawer. Plus he has found jewelry the same way.
I do wish you'd at least say what state this was in. Love the videos though. Anytime I pass an abandoned home I was to go break in and look around. Watching you do it is much safer for me. ;)
Whenever I see a place this decayed, or really any place I try and imagine the original owners walking around, maybe talking but doing day to day life things. Did these people ever imagine what their place would be like 30 years from now.
Hi Rick n Bekah.im binge watching all my favorite time capsule houses today 🐱
I always get a very sad feeling watching these videos.
Great camera work Bekah. Nice and smooth!
Always wanted to do this myself, however I fear 'getting caught'! Many places to explore in Pa coal country. You guys make a great team!
LOL
Sorry was in a bad spot.
Another great video. I enjoyed seeing the older vintage stuff.
The decay is amazing! The bedframe in last room is lovely. Looks like it can still be saved.
Thank you for sharing with us 🌻🌻
Another great video guys, it makes you wonder what the lives of the people who lived there were like, they laughed, cried, threw parties, celebrated hollidays, etc inside that house, crazy when you think about it!
It's crazy when you see the place as it is today. Hard to imagine it was a place people dwelled in... so decayed
"Teapot thing!" @ 1:22. I think it's what my Grandmother called a "Gravy Boat" LOL!
Haha yeah I'm ignorant about fancy dish ware.
DOC100
Google "Gravy Boat". That's what they're still called. If you need one, Amazon has many, all called gravy boats.
And tons of them in Antique shops as well.
DOC100 yep.
Yeah I was going to say it was a gravy boat!!
You two are so adventurous, the decay in the home was beyond anything I've seen in your vids. I was actually grossed out at times. Thanks for taking the time to show us everything and more. God Bless and be safe.
Thanks dawn ! The decay was pretty intense ! God bless you too !
I LOVE how Bekah took her time to go over things slowly. So many explorers pass over items and architectural features way too fast! Beautifully done. Thanks! Be careful out there :)
Thanks hath! Glad you like !

Thanks very much ! Glad you're sensible about the "messing it up" part. It's already crumbling to nothing. It's not like we're hurting anything.
Oh that sewing machine. ...makes me so sad....love the old ones, I collect them! Heart breaking to see that one left.out in the weather

Most everything is dusty dirty, but the bottle marked Regal at the beginning of the video is very clean....
I just a few days ago
discovered your channel I'm making my way through the play list.. I love Bekha her camera work is amazing I enjoy she takes time for details.
Always remember and don’t ever forget. 😄 look at the ceiling and if there is a huge hole then the floor is probably not safe.
Good job! So many stories at a location like that that we will never know. So many questions that will never be answered. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Michael :)
I love when you look up into the ceiling and see layers to decay with alittle bit of sky.
What a great video. I will check out Bekahs channel for sure.
You two find the best places! I really enjoy watching your Videos! Keep up the great work!
Thank you. :) we get so lucky finding these places.
I am watching while posting.I will say this is the most dangerous house you and Bekah have been in. Bekah you have guts to do this one. Proud you did it and was safe..
Rick, I just had Coco wheats this morning! Malto meal is happening tomorrow!! Great video! I watch every one of them!
Both are amazing ! Thanks for watching
I love these videos. Alot of life was lived there and it echoes thru.
The picture built into the wall in the bedroom is a cover for the chimney. At one time, there was a stove for heat in the bedroom.
You guys do a fantastic job filming!! You take your time and really show everything!
Great job and thank you for sharing!!!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!🎄🎅🏼🎁

That is not a plate on the wall, it was a wood burning stove there. It is the cover to the hole to the chimney.

Just found your channel, great video's. Oh didn't notice that. Thanks :)
some nice little bits left behind ...nice video
PS.....LOVE it when you go thri the drawers!!! Thanks👍🏻
Good video . The music played in the end is very soothing .
Thx. Bekah made it. :)
I really enjoyed this I was so afraid we wouldn't get to see it all but we did thanks to you both your great
Why we're you afraid you wouldn't get to see it all ? The condition of it ?
Exploring with Rick & Bekah Yes it was really bad thanks really enjoyed it
Those glasses did remind me of looking at old people from my childhood. My Grandparents had glasses just like those! Plus, the magazine with the car ads, my Grandparents had a van exactly like that one in the early 90's.
Cool ! Those vans are considered old today. I remember when they looked futuristic

I think we get something if people click on the ads. Thanks for your support ! You're awesome !
I did that without realising it did anything...woohoo! If I do it enough times, you'll be able to buy all the safety gear you need. :) I hope everyone starts to do it if they don't already.
TH-cam has some fancy algorithm that can determine if someone is trying to give someone more ad clicks than usual. Thanks for the kind gesture ! 😁
Oh...haha. I meant on each video, not the same one.
At 1:23 the teapot thing is a gravy boat.
That bed frame is freakin awesome. I'll bet that's antique. Looks like 17-1800's.
Really ? That old ? Whoa

The Singer sewing machine looks like an old one with the treadle. My great grandmother still had one in the 60's. I wish I knew where it was now!!
Dude your wife was asking for help and you just kepted on looking at that junk! Man wake up!!
He's dedicated to his craft, bud.
“kepted?” Good Lord, man. Concentrate on your own issues, like using words that aren’t words.

Wouldn't have time to deal with that. I'd have to quit my job and buy a truck. :)
Really great video! That 'little case' you found in the desk drawer is a business card holder. It said: 'Cari N Littleton - Sewing a Little Goodwill'. If you dont know what something is it would be better if you didnt say 'huh? wassat'
Please be careful you guys. I absolutely love you two. You are such a cute couple.
:] thank you Kylie. We really do exercise caution with rotten floors etc.
;)
When you uncover the naked doll it just underscored the fact that with time everything in the place including the ceiling is turning to dirt.
I really love the attention to detail.Example opening drawers, cabinets it just interesting to see how people lived back then and what there interest were.Love seeing the antiques. Mask are needed for all that mold ect.Just concerned.Keep up the great videos love watching yall.
Yeah, that's an amazing find.
I like watching your videos because you show everything
I'm glad you can appreciate the extreme decay and other things in this place. It is definitely one of the most interesting places we've been in.
Would be neat to go back in ten years to see how it is faring. Always liked Zelda , but not temples so much. :p
That big paperclip is really neat.
That "fuse " thing that you found was actually a vacuum tube for old school electronics. That "plate" on the wall you found in the last room was a cover for a stove pipe meaning there was stove in that room at one time.
Great video guys!
Beautiful headboard! Some real nice furniture they had.
I think it's so sad that all everything is just left behind like they had no one to leave it to or no one wanted I just think that is so sad
Crazy Stuff! Spooky too.But I would love to explore these places as you do. 22:22 I believe is an old radio or TV tube. TV looks to be from the late 70s early 80s.At 32:08 there was an old Super 8 movie reel.
For a split second I partially thought you were actually going to take it.
Antique Dealers would love that Singer sewing machine. Especially the one that restore stuff. 300 to 500 dollars.
I just discovered your channel today and I'm hooked!
Glad you enjoy Amy. We're glad to have you :)
You do good videos, I like them but if you are into taking advice from strangers, mine is this;
Please don't predicate each statement with "OLD" - "Hey an OLD shoe/calendar/book" etc.
By default, e v e r y t h I n g in a house vacant for more than 6 months, ...will be "old"
"Hey, a "Romance novel, ...from ..oh 1974" or "Green shoes" .. exceptions are NEW Flies, new Mice, & their new babies... & new foot prints.. :-)
Someone took out their Fridge & Stove, & was about to leave with their Sewing Machine, but changed their minds. It looks like it sat about 1 week in the spot you found it.
Thanks brad. All good thoughts. :)
I LOVE the videos, but I do agree. I guess it is like writing an essay. You don't want to use the same adjective every time. I also wasn't around in the 70's, so I am not coming at it from an offended place. :)
Thank you for the feedback!
Interesting on the medicine bottles because I wondered about that...
There was an old trophy on the floor. So sad so much stuff left to go to waste and decay. That place is ready to finish falling in on itself.
Sorry. Thanks:)
Rick: "hello, anybody in here ?"
Voice: Nope, just us serial killers !
Dude when you almost stepped in that hole something big and hairy walked by in it 😨
Bren Barnes, I keep rewinding to see it. someone else mention that same thing. 😱
did you see it?
Not yet. At what time stamp is it ??
Exploring with Rick & Bekah 12:26 ish as you say woohoo i almost fell in that ... look in the hole ! big furry ferret or rat 😨
👌🏼looks almost like paper to me and Bekah.
With this place being so old. Those pearls could of been real at 28.55...... Did you check them out?
What do I look for ??
Lolololol
Good to know about the pearl trick ! Thanks
YW.
Always love the beginning music
Bekah,I just subscribed to your personal channel.🐼
Lol my dad use to buy old houses and flip them. One day when I was a kid he saw a house w the grass grown up and needing a lot of work. He got out of the car and looked in the window and there sat s elderly grandma in a rocking chair. Lol, he about had a heart attack. IDK if she saw him it not
That was so funny when you found that baby and made that pig sound and when you said ooops when all that stuff fell through the bottom of that drawer.
Lol
At about 14:25 when Bekah's looking through the floor, it looks almost like the 'second floor' under it is about to collapse.
the pots and pans look nice like something I would find if I were shopping in the use store because I always go there and look for those and those look really nice
it is so sad to see it just rotting away. you know someone died an there wasn't anybody left to care
You should be looking for things taped under the dresser drawers. A friend of mine who does estate clean ups found $200 taped to the underneath of a drawer. Plus he has found jewelry the same way.
Wow didn't think to look there. Good idea. Thanks.
I do wish you'd at least say what state this was in. Love the videos though. Anytime I pass an abandoned home I was to go break in and look around. Watching you do it is much safer for me. ;)
+David Sentelle (Vegomite L16R) hello. This is in TN. :)
