I have a green one just like that..I kept it for decorative purposes of course😊 I love anything Victorian or vintage and do quite a bit of my own urban exploring..Like seeing other ppl who are like minded😊 thanks for sharing and it looks like a contractor has been there (garbage bins) and the blue X marks on the windows indicate which ones to replace or ones that they plan to replace..hope it gets the tlc it deserves 😁

This is my favorite urban explorer video of all I've seen. I loved the old wooden boxes that people used to ship stuff before cardboard, and that old stove in the kitchen was awesome! This house is a time capsule. I hope someone restores this old gem!
That plaster was removed on purpose. That place was incredible and it is structurally sound for the most part. That box with the writing on it looks just like one that was left behind in an old antebellum home in Natchez, Ms. called Longwood. The house was under construction when in 1861 the Civil War broke out and the workers left their tools where the were being used and went home to fight the war. The house was never finished but you can tour it. There are boxes of items that the lady had ordered for the home but never were used and they are wooden and have writing on them in the same style as that one in that house.
I thought it looked like a restoration had started but never finished, but construction makes sense, since the pillars and building supplies left look 19/early 20th century. The Barker, Rose, Kimball Co. was a company that made hardware and they changed their name in 1867 so the box was probably hardware for the construction crew, sitting there since 1861.
What a beauty. The kitchen range was amazing. I think the white stone you found on the upper floor at 22:23 with Pittston Stove Co. engraved on it was an oven brick from the range. The bricks would have absorbed and held the heat from the fire, making it more efficient. I hope someone saves this place!
Interesting that the porch posts had been saved and stored inside. Nice contrast with the coal/wood burning stove and the electric toaster. The detail in these old places is never going to be matched in new construction. If anyone does restore this house, please salvage and reinstall those radiators, the heat they emit cannot be matched with any modern system,,they stay warm long after the hot water stops circulating.
He said the current owner was in her late 90's. This house likely wasn't livable for anyone, especially an elderly person for a Long Time prior to the time her wonderful Amish Neighbor's moved it for her. I would think this is her beloved childhood home and she just had not been able to bring herself to sell it.
The current owner he said is I. Her nineties. The home was moved by the Amish for her 20 years ago. Moving a huge home is an art. The move would have caused some damage. Then the house was repositioned on a hill. Very difficult and the woman would have been In her seventies seventies. With no one to help her resettlement in the new location , her vision did not come to fruition. I think the reason the. Cellar door was nailed shut is because there were no stairs as the house would have been rolled onto a new foundation, and new steps were never made?
What a beautiful home, love the size of all rooms. Every level in this house was used even the top level (attic). The stove in the kitchen was truly wonderful to see with the unique details. The wall vents between rooms was also very interesting. Thanks for panning slowly to show so many unique details of this home. The wood used for cabinets, doors, door frames etc was beautiful. So much to see I am certain I have missed something and would have to look at this video one more time. Blessings from Maryland
The mesh thing is actually a bed spring... kinda more for high end beds instead of the squeaky wire box springs that were exposed from way back in the day... they had these... vey nice find!!

I "oohed!" and "awwwwed!" from beginning to end. 🤤 Only three owners in her lifetime? 😯 "Three FEMALE owners..." 😌 That says it all as far as the home's condition...😊 Even stripped down awaiting a little TLC she's absolutely still a beautiful old home. 🙏🏼 The next owner treats her as well as the previous ones have. i have to agree with you Rick..this is one of the best explores ya'll have been on lately...this is an awesome old house and what i love is that its a full 3 story...i love old 3 story houses...and this one isn't beyond being repaired
My hometown is a National Historic site, with many Victorian homes from that same time period. There are numerous stories of former deceased residents just hanging around for a look at their old residence. They would usually leave if asked to go politely, or if there was major remodeling done. They were always in the dress of late 1800s.early 1900s. Those old skeleton key doorknobs downstairs are very valuable. It looks like the people restoring the place were in the process of selling them, and replacing them with the newer white ones. My grandmother used that callous remover in the identical bottle, for her foot bunions, which didn't seem to do much good. BTW, that Castile Soap is pronounced Ca-steel. Thanks a lot for the tour.
You know how they say that absence makes the heart grow fonder? This couldn't be more true than this right here! You both pay attention to Exactly what I want to see and rarely miss anything of interest. It's been so long that I found myself talking to the screen excitedly, begging for you to take a look at this and that because the few other explorers that have been holding me over tend to focus more on architecture and large pieces of furniture, scanning over the neat stuff and making me nuts! It was quite therapeutic to have every need met in one video. You guys are hands down my favorite explorers. Thank you for your service, I'm so grateful for the time you spare in your busy lives to bring us all the vicarious adventures we all crave!
The third floor was most likely servants quarters for the rest of the home. My guess is the room at the top of the attic stairs is probably a common sitting room for them all. Most likely they used chamber pots and had to empty them in the mornings. This was a well done tour!! Thank you for your gentle treatment for someone’s old home!!
The old hardware at 03:00 is a can and bottle opener. Very cool!! The wall socket at 8:48 is actually wired as "Knob and Tube" style. Notice the wires on both sides of it and how the wires go under the wood molding. No modern wiring here. Knob and tube, (Google that), had two separate wires run all over the house. You never knew which was hot or neutral. Romex is what is most common today. AND... there was no ground on any outlets like today. Very old wiring. Great Video, Rick. The attic has old fashioned 'catre' beds, they put the mattress on top, no need of boxprings 👍 The crate by the bottles was a bottle box, you bought the whole thing off the delivery soda trucks. The wainstocking on the main floor seems to be hand made, turned wooden bricks 🤗 very hard to find !👍🤗 Beautiful old house. 😥🙏🏼✝️
@@amythomas1124 Did you notice the FIRE BRICK that he moved up in the attic while looking at some boxes ? Those were to replace the bricks in the stove when they became to depleted. The brick had the name of the stove on it !
I'm surprised they went to all the trouble to move this house. It would have been easier to put some steel post in front of it like they do in front of stores. I hope someone buys and restores it before it gets vandalized.
Uh, no. My landlord did that because drunk drivers kept missing the curve and ending up on the front porch of my cabin. A drunk came around, didn't even come close to making the curve and hit the post. He died. The family sued the owner saying that if he hadn't put the post there, the drunk would have lived. They won. So the owner put up a 8' chain link fence with a double gate about 14' wide. I'm sitting on the porch with the dog about midnight (I got off work at 11). I heard a car coming from down the hill. I heard his tires squeal on the curve before ours and know he'd never make it round our curve at that speed. I had just enough time to grab the dog and roll off the porch. Idiot smashed through the gate. Came to a stop with the front bomber and license plate a foot from my face. I guess they thought they'd killed us because they freaked, backed up and took off. Highway Patrol never caught them. (Better to move the house. Look up the videos of the Amish moving a BBC arn by hand. No heavy equipment. They're amazing. )
The attic is where either the nursery was located or servants quarters were. Also the back staircase was for servants use to go into the kitchen and move around the house pretty much unseen.

I appreciate the historical information you found on this place. It seriously hurts my heart that a house this beautiful sits in such disrepair. The pretty stained glass, gorgeous doorknobs and doorplates, so much fine craftsmanship there. In the attic there was a railing with a row of hooks all along one wall. I wonder what that was used for. Maybe the old lady who owns the house refuses to sell it. Perhaps after she passes away it can be sold and renovated, if it’s not too late.
@precognative maiden This one would have to have been put on heavy equipment. I know how they move, but this would have been to heavy. I've seen them move entire barns though

"Look, an antique phone!" We had a phone like that when I was a kid. LOL We upgraded to push buttons in the 70s LOL This house has a ton of potential. Sad to see it in the state it's in compared to the picture from its glory days. Is it for sale?
The "mesh thing" at 21:00on the 3rd floor is part of a bed...it would support the mattress ( before box springs were used) several beds in our 1861 Greek Revival summer house still have them... What a architectural treasure ! The house is really in shape with minimal water damage! It looks like someone was starting to renovate it? You can see that all the plaster on the second floor was removed by someone... Hopefully this amazing house will be restored and returned to its former grandeur !!
It’s actually hard to believe that this house has been previously moved out, from one location to another, which probably explains the reason why some of the plaster has fallen off from the wall, in the main staircase section. I could imagine how they’ve proceeded by lifting up the house, with a huge crane. I’ve seen this kind of procedure before and in fact, it’s quite a very delicate task operation, to be setting a house on a huge massive tractor trailer and by hauling it all the way to its new destination, without breaking it up like a castle made out of cards. Unfortunately, the house loses some of it’s identity, due to the fact that it’s been moved out from its original site. However! it’s a wonderful looking epic Victorian property. Thank you! They definitely don’t make homes like that anymore! The craftsmanship alone is gorgeous, which sadly no longer exists. Today’s homes are half the size, and triple the price. We pay outrageous prices, for cookie cutter homes.
Rosemarie Joy I live in the middle of nowhere, and up the road from my house, there’s a gorgeous huge old farmhouse. I told my husband, if ever we rebuild, I definitely want a duplicate of that old farmhouse.
And they're glued together and won't last 100 years. The workmanship is just not there anymore. They want to throw a house up as fast as possible. No pride in they're work. Costs a fortune. Everything is made to fall apart so you have to buy a new one. Really sad what this world has come to. And that's before you consider what has happened to our government! OMG HAVE MERCY ON US!

It is a beautiful old house !!, it may have been built in 1919, it has good bones, I wish it could be restored. It's a calm old place and not scary at all. Thanks for sharing another great old house, it's one of my favorites that you've shared with us 🎅🍭🌻
Imagine the cost of building a house like that today all the slat work and plastering ! incredible. Would you believe that their were houses like that in the Bronx when I was a kid, stained glass and all.My grandparents had one-great memories...Great video☮❤

Beautiful find. It appears someone may have attempted renovated it at one time. I dont think the plaster fell off otherwise there would be mountains of it. I think it was removed. You did an amazing job in the narration. Quiet and respectful.
I'm guessing someone was about to remodel, if all that plaster fell off by itself there would be so much on the floor you wouldn't be able to walk in there, much of it has been removed, and only the powder remains. I would move in today if I didn't have to climb 10 feet to the window. Amazing, thanks for sharing!
I just viewed this video. What a wonderful job you did, too. I've been watching your channel for going on 2 years and feel obligated to tell you what a good job you did on this. I must admit, I was nervous because you used to have a tendency to rush, etc. This one allowed the viewer to feel like they were walking right beside you. It was as awesome as the house. I wish it was located in Virginia or further southward. Pennsylvania is a bit too cold in winter for me. I could envision the house renovated. What a beauty it could be again. I hope the woman finds a woman to leave it to or she should go ahead and sell. Thanks again for giving me some great entertainment on Saturday night. 😄

In the kitchen that was an old handcrank can opener. I spotted a cast iron skillet there too. The kitchen sink is just like the one in my childhood home. I was wondering if the mesh frame upstairs was a bed frame. Love this old house and thanks for telling some of it's history. Hope someone fixes it up soon before its to late.
@@carolyearsley That is a Peach Luster Chili bowl made by a company called Fire King, today it is Anchor Hocking. I noticed a Fire King Jadeite salt or pepper shaker on the lower shelf.

Thank you for taking us through this. There were still many when I was young. Not so much now. Cheaper to demolish & rebuild vile modern, mass produced, multinational, urban, disposable, commercial sadness. It’s a privilege my kids get to at least see treasures like these on tv before they are completely gone. Or maybe it’s better not to know how bad things really are.
My Grandmothers house had a doorbell on the front door like that. On the front of the door the bell has a bar handle that you would turn and the bell would ring. Made a sound that only those old old doorbells make.
Another beautiful old gem. A couple of features that I noticed in this home were the deep treads on the stairs, which I'm sure made it easier for people with larger feet to go up and down. The other was the beautiful moulding around the doorways. I really like the high ceilings and spacious rooms in these old places. The craftsmanship was superior compared to today. Love the old stove and kitchen sink. The hardware and moulding, including the stair case is worth a small fortune alone. What a lovely old gal. Thank you for sharing this video.
GOD I would Love to Clean Out the Old Place and Totally Restore It to its Glory...The one particular room upstairs (2nd level) at the end of the hall, With all the Windows., I would turn into a beautiful sitting/reading rm...The 3rd. Story was amazing as well. I would have a hay day decorating.
The thing is, they were stripped carefully. Someone's going to restore it with the old lathe and new plaster, not drywall. I would kill to own that home
In it’s time this home was a beauty! The woodwork is awesome! The rooms are large with big windows that let in lots of light and the stained glass is special.
That mesh thing is a bed box spring and they are not comfortable. The main mattress sits on top an double as a bed frame. It attaches to the head board and base board. They are definitely antique. That one is probably from the early 1900’s

In today’s world it would take an enormous amount of money to restore this old Victorian. A complete refit of the plumbing, electrical and heating just to start.
A total Restore of this over willingly beautiful home may be pricey, But so worth it ! It is absolutely a stunning home. I do wonder why the basement door was locked. I guess we all we never know !

@8:49, that wall socket is one of those older triple outlet surface mounted receptacles and by the design on the plastic, that appears to been made by Eagle Electric. They once also made a triple plug in adapter in that exact design that had the plug prongs on the back. That brass hanging fixture with the pull socket and bulb @9:16, I had made an score at one estate sale on a couple of those, always had liked those kind of old lights for houses built in the pre 1940 era. Other that that, an interesting house!
I'd sure love to restore it! It doesn't look to be in that bad of a condition. I do wish you'd say what state they are in at least. Love Victorians. Great video 👌
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is when craftsmen took pride in their work. You won't find many of those anymore. And a big thank you to the Amish who helped move this beauty. They moved it with all the stuff in there??? That chair and footstool is exactly what I am trying to find for my living room!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The old sink!!! My grandmothers was like that. The plaster was mostly taken off. My farm house had the radiator system - I wish they would bring it back. I really like that last bedroom (green trim) in the attic.

What an absolutely fantastic find! Beautiful house, even more so given the history of the women. It is hard on a house to hoist it and move it, so I'm not surprised that there were porch supports etc in the downstairs. I wonder how much of the loose plaster was from the move. It's a shame it wasn't repaired after the move. Really enjoyed all of the Victorian woodwork etc. Thank you for taking us along!
That house is gorgeous and light, but I would bet money it's still haunted. At 25:09 you can hear a female voice "who are you" and at 27:15 you can hear the same voice say" bye" after you jump out the window for the second time. Great video!
Sorry but you’re just hearing him say “sorry” at 25:09 because he doesn’t want to go into the crawl space. Also, at 27:14 you’re hearing the girlfriend say “bye” because it’s the end of the video.
That big clay jar you walked past is for fermenting vegtables and pickles. Many of those canning jars are antiques with zinc tops (Gray in color). And yes, people collect them. That cast iron wood stove could be restored, depending on how bad the rust is.
The calendar from 1919 says, “Shall Not Sleep.” It believe it is referring to the dead rising from the graves to go to heaven during the rapture. So interesting. What a beautiful house!

The plaster upstairs has not fallen off it was removed. Someone was doing a remodel and then stopped. Beautiful home. Hope it is saved.

I have many questions about this, but the salient issue would be: Why was the house moved only to be abandoned?
Maybe the owner died, or ran out of money.

What a beautiful home, love the size of all rooms. Every level in this house was used even the top level (attic). The stove in the kitchen was truly wonderful to see with the unique details. The wall vents between rooms was also very interesting. Thanks for panning slowly to show so many unique details of this home. The wood used for cabinets, doors, door frames etc was beautiful. So much to see I am certain I have missed something and would have to look at this video one more time. Blessings from Maryland
The mesh thing is actually a bed spring... kinda more for high end beds instead of the squeaky wire box springs that were exposed from way back in the day... they had these... vey nice find!!

i have to agree with you Rick..this is one of the best explores ya'll have been on lately...this is an awesome old house and what i love is that its a full 3 story...i love old 3 story houses...and this one isn't beyond being repaired
My hometown is a National Historic site, with many Victorian homes from that same time period. There are numerous stories of former deceased residents just hanging around for a look at their old residence. They would usually leave if asked to go politely, or if there was major remodeling done. They were always in the dress of late 1800s.early 1900s.
Those old skeleton key doorknobs downstairs are very valuable. It looks like the people restoring the place were in the process of selling them, and replacing them with the newer white ones.
My grandmother used that callous remover in the identical bottle, for her foot bunions, which didn't seem to do much good.
BTW, that Castile Soap is pronounced Ca-steel.

You know how they say that absence makes the heart grow fonder? This couldn't be more true than this right here! You both pay attention to Exactly what I want to see and rarely miss anything of interest. It's been so long that I found myself talking to the screen excitedly, begging for you to take a look at this and that because the few other explorers that have been holding me over tend to focus more on architecture and large pieces of furniture, scanning over the neat stuff and making me nuts! It was quite therapeutic to have every need met in one video. You guys are hands down my favorite explorers. Thank you for your service, I'm so grateful for the time you spare in your busy lives to bring us all the vicarious adventures we all crave!

This house must have been really beautiful in its day. Shes still beautiful.
The third floor was most likely servants quarters for the rest of the home. My guess is the room at the top of the attic stairs is probably a common sitting room for them all. Most likely they used chamber pots and had to empty them in the mornings. This was a well done tour!! Thank you for your gentle treatment for someone’s old home!!
The old hardware at 03:00 is a can and bottle opener. Very cool!! The wall socket at 8:48 is actually wired as "Knob and Tube" style. Notice the wires on both sides of it and how the wires go under the wood molding. No modern wiring here. Knob and tube, (Google that), had two separate wires run all over the house. You never knew which was hot or neutral. Romex is what is most common today. AND... there was no ground on any outlets like today. Very old wiring. Great Video, Rick. The attic has old fashioned 'catre' beds, they put the mattress on top, no need of boxprings 👍
The crate by the bottles was a bottle box, you bought the whole thing off the delivery soda trucks.

That Pittston stove had to be made after 1864 when the company began and before 1882, when the company changed names.
The house was built in the late 1800’s. Said in the beginning of this video. The stove was probably new when the home was built!
Was that company based in Pittston PA?

@@amythomas1124 Did you notice the FIRE BRICK that he moved up in the attic while looking at some boxes ? Those were to replace the bricks in the stove when they became to depleted. The brick had the name of the stove on it !
I'm surprised they went to all the trouble to move this house. It would have been easier to put some steel post in front of it like they do in front of stores. I hope someone buys and restores it before it gets vandalized.
There is a house near my dad that has been hit 4 or 5 times, they had bollards but the car went right through them.
Uh, no. My landlord did that because drunk drivers kept missing the curve and ending up on the front porch of my cabin. A drunk came around, didn't even come close to making the curve and hit the post. He died. The family sued the owner saying that if he hadn't put the post there, the drunk would have lived. They won. So the owner put up a 8' chain link fence with a double gate about 14' wide. I'm sitting on the porch with the dog about midnight (I got off work at 11). I heard a car coming from down the hill. I heard his tires squeal on the curve before ours and know he'd never make it round our curve at that speed. I had just enough time to grab the dog and roll off the porch. Idiot smashed through the gate. Came to a stop with the front bomber and license plate a foot from my face. I guess they thought they'd killed us because they freaked, backed up and took off. Highway Patrol never caught them. (Better to move the house. Look up the videos of the Amish moving a BBC arn by hand. No heavy equipment. They're amazing. )
The attic is where either the nursery was located or servants quarters were. Also the back staircase was for servants use to go into the kitchen and move around the house pretty much unseen.

I appreciate the historical information you found on this place. It seriously hurts my heart that a house this beautiful sits in such disrepair. The pretty stained glass, gorgeous doorknobs and doorplates, so much fine craftsmanship there. In the attic there was a railing with a row of hooks all along one wall. I wonder what that was used for. Maybe the old lady who owns the house refuses to sell it. Perhaps after she passes away it can be sold and renovated, if it’s not too late.
Its a mystery to me how they can move a house like this without destroying it in the process.

"Look, an antique phone!" We had a phone like that when I was a kid. LOL We upgraded to push buttons in the 70s LOL This house has a ton of potential. Sad to see it in the state it's in compared to the picture from its glory days. Is it for sale?
The "mesh thing" at 21:00on the 3rd floor is part of a bed...it would support the mattress ( before box springs were used) several beds in our 1861 Greek Revival summer house still have them... What a architectural treasure ! The house is really in shape with minimal water damage! It looks like someone was starting to renovate it? You can see that all the plaster on the second floor was removed by someone... Hopefully this amazing house will be restored and returned to its former grandeur !!
It’s actually hard to believe that this house has been previously moved out, from one location to another, which probably explains the reason why some of the plaster has fallen off from the wall, in the main staircase section. I could imagine how they’ve proceeded by lifting up the house, with a huge crane. I’ve seen this kind of procedure before and in fact, it’s quite a very delicate task operation, to be setting a house on a huge massive tractor trailer and by hauling it all the way to its new destination, without breaking it up like a castle made out of cards. Unfortunately, the house loses some of it’s identity, due to the fact that it’s been moved out from its original site. However! it’s a wonderful looking epic Victorian property. Thank you! They definitely don’t make homes like that anymore! The craftsmanship alone is gorgeous, which sadly no longer exists. Today’s homes are half the size, and triple the price. We pay outrageous prices, for cookie cutter homes.
Find an old house(this is if u have the$$$$...) have an architect copy ...have him build a duplicate???

I live in the middle of nowhere, and up the road from my house, there’s a gorgeous huge old farmhouse. I told my husband, if ever we rebuild, I definitely want a duplicate of that old farmhouse.
And they're glued together and won't last 100 years. The workmanship is just not there anymore. They want to throw a house up as fast as possible. No pride in they're work. Costs a fortune. Everything is made to fall apart so you have to buy a new one. Really sad what this world has come to. And that's before you consider what has happened to our government! OMG HAVE MERCY ON US!

The Victorian was built in the 1880s or so, not 1919.
Imagine the cost of building a house like that today all the slat work and plastering ! incredible. Would you believe that their were houses like that in the Bronx when I was a kid, stained glass and all.My grandparents had one-great memories...Great video☮❤

Beautiful find. It appears someone may have attempted renovated it at one time. I dont think the plaster fell off otherwise there would be mountains of it. I think it was removed. You did an amazing job in the narration. Quiet and respectful.

I'm guessing someone was about to remodel, if all that plaster fell off by itself there would be so much on the floor you wouldn't be able to walk in there, much of it has been removed, and only the powder remains. I would move in today if I didn't have to climb 10 feet to the window. Amazing, thanks for sharing!

I just viewed this video. What a wonderful job you did, too. I've been watching your channel for going on 2 years and feel obligated to tell you what a good job you did on this. I must admit, I was nervous because you used to have a tendency to rush, etc. This one allowed the viewer to feel like they were walking right beside you. It was as awesome as the house. I wish it was located in Virginia or further southward. Pennsylvania is a bit too cold in winter for me. I could envision the house renovated. What a beauty it could be again. I hope the woman finds a woman to leave it to or she should go ahead and sell. Thanks again for giving me some great entertainment on Saturday night. 😄

In the kitchen that was an old handcrank can opener. I spotted a cast iron skillet there too. The kitchen sink is just like the one in my childhood home. I was wondering if the mesh frame upstairs was a bed frame. Love this old house and thanks for telling some of it's history. Hope someone fixes it up soon before its to late.
There was orange colored bowl from the 1960s, that looked like the original Pyrex. They are very sought after nowadays.

@@carolyearsley That is a Peach Luster Chili bowl made by a company called Fire King, today it is Anchor Hocking. I noticed a Fire King Jadeite salt or pepper shaker on the lower shelf.

Thank you for taking us through this. There were still many when I was young. Not so much now. Cheaper to demolish & rebuild vile modern, mass produced, multinational, urban, disposable, commercial sadness. It’s a privilege my kids get to at least see treasures like these on tv before they are completely gone. Or maybe it’s better not to know how bad things really are.
My Grandmothers house had a doorbell on the front door like that. On the front of the door the bell has a bar handle that you would turn and the bell would ring. Made a sound that only those old old doorbells make.
Another beautiful old gem. A couple of features that I noticed in this home were the deep treads on the stairs, which I'm sure made it easier for people with larger feet to go up and down. The other was the beautiful moulding around the doorways. I really like the high ceilings and spacious rooms in these old places. The craftsmanship was superior compared to today. Love the old stove and kitchen sink. The hardware and moulding, including the stair case is worth a small fortune alone. What a lovely old gal. Thank you for sharing this video.
GOD I would Love to Clean Out the Old Place and Totally Restore It to its Glory...The one particular room upstairs (2nd level) at the end of the hall, With all the Windows., I would turn into a beautiful sitting/reading rm...The 3rd. Story was amazing as well. I would have a hay day decorating.
Looks to me like someone is renovating this house. Those walls didn't get stripped by themselves.
The thing is, they were stripped carefully. Someone's going to restore it with the old lathe and new plaster, not drywall. I would kill to own that home

The care in removal of the plaster was the sign of a craftsman. Hope those craftsmen come back and finish the whole house.
The rectangle shaped mesh, wooden frame thing I believe is for a feather bed. Predates box springs. I think. I love you and Becca's vidios.

In it’s time this home was a beauty! The woodwork is awesome! The rooms are large with big windows that let in lots of light and the stained glass is special.
That mesh thing is a bed box spring and they are not comfortable. The main mattress sits on top an double as a bed frame. It attaches to the head board and base board. They are definitely antique. That one is probably from the early 1900’s

In today’s world it would take an enormous amount of money to restore this old Victorian. A complete refit of the plumbing, electrical and heating just to start.
A total Restore of this over willingly beautiful home may be pricey,
But so worth it !

@8:49, that wall socket is one of those older triple outlet surface mounted receptacles and by the design on the plastic, that appears to been made by Eagle Electric. They once also made a triple plug in adapter in that exact design that had the plug prongs on the back. That brass hanging fixture with the pull socket and bulb @9:16, I had made an score at one estate sale on a couple of those, always had liked those kind of old lights for houses built in the pre 1940 era. Other that that, an interesting house!
I'd sure love to restore it! It doesn't look to be in that bad of a condition. I do wish you'd say what state they are in at least. Love Victorians. Great video 👌
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is when craftsmen took pride in their work. You won't find many of those anymore. And a big thank you to the Amish who helped move this beauty. They moved it with all the stuff in there??? That chair and footstool is exactly what I am trying to find for my living room!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The old sink!!! My grandmothers was like that. The plaster was mostly taken off. My farm house had the radiator system - I wish they would bring it back. I really like that last bedroom (green trim) in the attic.

What an absolutely fantastic find! Beautiful house, even more so given the history of the women. It is hard on a house to hoist it and move it, so I'm not surprised that there were porch supports etc in the downstairs. I wonder how much of the loose plaster was from the move. It's a shame it wasn't repaired after the move. Really enjoyed all of the Victorian woodwork etc. Thank you for taking us along!
That house is gorgeous and light, but I would bet money it's still haunted. At 25:09 you can hear a female voice "who are you" and at 27:15 you can hear the same voice say" bye" after you jump out the window for the second time. Great video!
Sorry but you’re just hearing him say “sorry” at 25:09 because he doesn’t want to go into the crawl space. Also, at 27:14 you’re hearing the girlfriend say “bye” because it’s the end of the video.

That big clay jar you walked past is for fermenting vegtables and pickles. Many of those canning jars are antiques with zinc tops (Gray in color). And yes, people collect them. That cast iron wood stove could be restored, depending on how bad the rust is.

The calendar from 1919 says, “Shall Not Sleep.” It believe it is referring to the dead rising from the graves to go to heaven during the rapture. So interesting. What a beautiful house!
