he is a true gem. I personally consider him the most talented male actor. I might be exaggerating, but I believe I am not :-) I think if he were to still be alive for more 20 year, he would have been the most profound actor in the American history. Caught my eyes first time by the way in "The Talented Mr. Ripley". Just a great acting.
He always flew subtly under the radar early in his careers, but I've always loved him from the beggining. Played great roles, and he really was starting to come into his own, well on his way to legendary status. What a loss of talent. I mean certain actors are great for specific things, but overall, I think he had this raw, pure talent that can't be matched by really anyone in my mind. Arguably the best ever.
One of the greatest actors and human being of our time, he really will be missed knowing that we will not see future films and his work of art come alive is really felt. May you rest in peace Mr. Hoffman where ever you are, we will always love you.
I was so depressed when PSH was found dead of drug overdose (combination). I used to tell myself that life was worth living as long as PSH was still making movies... then, BAM! He was gone. His kind of talent only comes along maybe once in a lifetime.
You were a beautiful soul, creative sensitive and an individual. But you made the wrong choice. You had a choice as we all do , and you made the wrong one. You left kids and a beautiful wife behind. You were a good person who made wrong choices in the end. RIP.
My apologies, I forgot to include the date of when this was shot. The 2014 date is just when I uploaded the video. I think, and I could be wrong, but I think this was recorded around 2004. Back in the day, I was awful at labelling my tapes.
I am sorry for phil to be exposed to those stupid questions in the last minutes of the interview. The interviewer started to tell him about her film directing project etc and Phil showed no interest listening to that crap. RIP, Phil. I loved our long walks in central park and I will miss you dearly.
He was the real deal...gonna miss seeing him work. My heart hurts. Can't believe he is gone
He was such an honest and real guy. Also an honest true actor. No fakery with Phil. Miss him already.
he's being so kind to the ones posing the questions

Aw, Phil. Reppin' the Rochester Red Wings. How cool was he?
One person just didn't get it...
Published 2014 is a little deceptive on this, actually done before Capote.

I live in Tucson. The Loft is a great place. They're doing a screening of Capote and a PSH tribute on the 5th.
