  • As of March 2024. I've only been riding for about four years.
Most of my life has been in the auto restoration industry. I quickly discovered a love for resurrecting old motorcycles.
I find motorcycles that have been put away and forgotten. They usually do not run or run poorly.
I buy them, fix them, ride them, and love them.
My newest project, 1987 Honda XL600R!!

I have the same bike, just an '83 model. You will love this bike! Great machine. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

Great bike. Love the color scheme. Those 600's rip with less restrictive exhaust, and some carb jetting, but actually run pretty good, out of the box. Honda hasn't changed them much, other than brake upgrades, emissions controls and e-start, over the last 30 years.

Before I learned how to properly kick-start it... I was about ready to sell it and buy something with an electric start.

I used to kick mine to the floor when I was late for school all the time.
Then I learned to start properly with the decompression

The helmet lock had two bolts but they have a ROUND head. You will either have to grind them to use a flat head OR use vice grips to grab the round head and turn
