Dude I love your videos so much finally had to comment on one thank you for taking all the time that you do to post on both channels you're pretty awesome...🤟
i LOVE the fact that you dont talk down about the people who live back there. alot of people dont realize, that tons of people are one paycheck away from exactly that. great interaction
❤❤ Amazin XL mods, drone and body cam footage, with super dialogue of your off road experience there in PA. Really enjoyed the Ram2500 camper trip to Utah too. Hot springs campsite tumbleweed Couples don't always agree but always forgive...stay safe stay brave stay loved...🎉🎉
A 2010 back surgery has made it impossible for me to ride. Finally decided to sell my two 82 Honda XL 250Rs and my 79 KZ900 this summer. It may seem a bit simplistic to say this, but thanks for taking me on this joyful ride.
When I moved from PA. To Utah back in 1993 the first motorcycle I bought was a 84 XL 600. I put a supertrap exhaust and a Clark tank just like yours. I rode it all over the state for years. From the desert to the mountains. Truely one of the most versatile bikes I ever had. I would like to find another 86. The red, white and blue colors were cool. Thanks for sharing your ride.
The videos you made repairing this bike helped me out greatly. As a stuck at home covid project I bought a basket case of a 1985 honda xr350r. After a year of tinkering on and off its a well running and riding bike now. Thank you again and great ride along video!
Honestly Chris! YOU and Jen are just outstanding people! You's are different but a perfect combo! These trips to explore are just incredible! Don't worry about wind noise or low light or anything like that..I could sit back, relax and watch these vidoes for hours...NO PROBLEM!
When I was around 13 i used to go riding with a friend of mine right off us 1.it was like a small valley with a hill you could jump at the top.think it was called sportsman's.i guess it was fallsington.
Most excellent young sir, yes here in Europe (England to be more precise) e-bikes (and other e-stuff) is heavily policed, but then we have a load of numpties who spoil it for everyone else (as always) But there would be no way anyone would be able to be that close to, let alone ride along by the train tracks !. But as always a great video, and surely a great promotional video for your home area. Keep it up. Thank you
Thanks Chris. I love these exploration/history videos. Although this is on your second channel is still far surpasses the quality of many other large youtubers videos.
I have the last production year 2000 XR 600R Its near factory condition. The suspension is good but you must replace the oil now and than or it will beat you up. If you live in the western US there are unlimited places to ride
Camera angle riding the bike looked perfect to me. Pretty awesome in fact. I learned how to ride on dualsports here in Mass. Yamaha XT 350 and XT600. Oh boy were they stubborn to start in the winter. I ride a Dyna now but watching you ride in this video was frickn nostalgic. Thanks for sharing!
I loved my XR650L talk about grunt, couple of hours in the sand and I was spent, the bike would do it all day, it was manageable to pick up but I was still pretty strong back then
I totally agree they should never gotten rid of the kickstart. They should’ve kept it as an option with the electric start so what if it made the bike heavier it had plenty of power. Those things were bulletproof too.
Born and raided in Norristown. Spent a lot of time in Philly, and know most of it. Had relatives in Southampton, Greys Ferry, University City, and Essington. Love this video and the memories. I had the XL 125 when I was 12 riding all the trails, throughout the Del val. Thanks for this vid!
Dude, you've got style. And skill. Riding the bike on that wall at 17.38 I'm impressed. Wouldn't try that with my GS. Who would have ever thought such an adventure and nice riding was in your back yard. Filming was great.
Fun fact I watched all your XLR videos yesterday and said to me it would be so cool to have a nice presentation video of this awesome bike. You literally read my mind haha 😂 thanks a lot Chris for the great content. Cheers from France 🇫🇷
I've got a soft spot for the XL, my first legal bike was an early 70's XL125K loads of low down torque but not much top end but boy was she fun and never gave a minutes trouble.
Looked like a sweet adventure. I've got a '85 XR600 Street legal with a bunch of xl parts. I agree they are the greatest. I started watching your channel because of your xl600 vids. Thanks for posting
what a sweet bike! my brother bought a brand new honda xl200.......straight out of the crate, and put it together. those bikes were the best......love your mods!
I remember when I had my bike and I came up to the locked gate at 12:20 and I blinked my eyes and I'm buzzing down the trail on the other side of the fence. Amazing how that works 😂
About 10 years ago I bought a 1985 XL-650R from a guy I met in much need of $, It had less than 11 hundred miles, Like new condition, I gave six hundred bucks for it, Like a d/a I sold it for fifteen hundred, Enjoy y’all’s videos from central Florida!
I love dirt bikes, back in the day I had a Yamaha YZ250, and that’s all I needed, plenty power for me! It would throw a rooster tail of sand at the beach about 25 feet high Chris! But when the magneto went out I guess it was a sign to get rid of it before I killed my self, when I got on a dirt bike, the more I rode it the braver I got! I bought a three wheeler when I started hunting and now I have a 2003 Anniversary Harley Davidson heritage soft tail and I love just cruising now that I’m 63! Funny how time flies so, you and Jen enjoy your life and each other my friends because time definitely flies! I enjoy every one of both of you and Jen’s channels! As always, thanks for sharing brother and Kirk from Louisiana sending prayers and positive vibes to you, Jen, Gus, and Turbo! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
im in mass, ride a 83,rebuilt top to bottom by the manic mechanic himself,i have the xr conversion also, love the disc rear brake,my son and i just went out this weekend,he rides a drz400,did a little hooligan ride then we did some train tracking, rediscovered monster land!!!!! able to rip it up for a couple hours, absoultly love my xl600
Those are some good trails. A little bit of everything. Dual sports are the most fun ive ever had on a motorcycle. Hopefully they dont build up around you anytime soon.
G,day Chris and Jen from Sydney Australia. I really enjoyed the changing panama of the city for the XL600 (modified). It looks a little like a CR... love the drone between the two spires. 🌏🌲
Love this video. Grew up on quads and still have them. Had street bikes my whole life but never had much experience on dirt with 2 wheels. A couple of years ago my buddy needed money so I bought his CRF150F with adult suspension and a pipe. Man that thing is a blast. Loved seeing the areal views. I am here in cape may county NJ and I got to see a view of Philly subs that I didn’t know existed. Good stuff.
Nice one Chris! 💪 I have the same addiction with my Yamaha XT 350 bulletproof reliability, comfy old thumper.... I will Never sell it 😊 Keep the great work up 👌
Philly seems to be such a strange place, total beauty on one hand and utter desolation on the other.. Being from the Middle of England it's probably somewhere I'll never get to explore myself so thanks for the videos!
Mid 80s my buddy had a xl650 and i had a klr650 and we rode the heck out of them. Forestry roads, logging roads, primitive single lane roads in the mountains and of course trails. Those are great bikes with the large fuel tanks, the klr could hold 6gal. Fill in the morning ,good for all day.
great tour of your area and the way to make the best of it . I had same model as yours, but a bear to get started. Back in the day I had 1972 XL350 bored and stroked to 457. absolute beast when you got it started. my riding partner had a yamaha TT500 with a 540 kit in it. another beast to get started lol.
This one brings back some memories for me. I had a 1983 XL600R that was bored, ported, and seriously jetted with a super trap. Needed 13 disks on the super trap to make it breathe right. It would pick the front wheel up on the highway. Was fun pulling up the Foxnody back in the day ind just smoke them of the line. It was the early years when they had 2 carbs. Dumbest thing I ever did was sell it.
I love your videos my guy. You don’t pigeonhole yourself into doing a certain type of video. It’s more like “Adventures with Chris” and I really enjoy them. 🤙💪 Keep rockin!
I love the XL600R content. I own an 87 which I love and also never plan to sell. Hoping to source Xr650l parts to do the suspension upgrade like you did. Thanks for the video and all the awesome content.
Man that was a blast. Love the ebike vids but nothing beats the raw sound of a gas engine. Keep up the great work, hope you can get out on that bike more often.
Good vid, enjoyed watching it, some interesting scenery. Took me back to my Yamaha PE 175 days, yes a baby bike compared to your trusty 600, but a fun off road bike all the same. We used to ride on similar ground, quarry spoil tips and such. I can imagine how busy that area with all the concrete infrastructure was years ago. Keep em comming Chris, super random is good.
Great bikes! I had an 84 when i was in high school, wish I would have kept it now. I love how you have a starting procedure, I had my own and was typically able to get it first or second kick.
I was a Mr Softee driver on a J1 visa in Trenton and all around that NJ area back in 2011. I enjoy your content plus i enjoy seein a lot of familiar roads and places :) Greets to you and Jen Vlad.
In Rockford I could go pretty much where ever I wanted to on a little 250ex quad. It was quiet. Once I figured out the good cuts. I got to see the city from totally differant prospective. There's also a big drain system that snakes it's way all through the city. It was like a little slightly below street level trail. With tunnels going under the cross roads. But the perfect size for for quad.
O wow what a cool bike this is , so great that you manage to rescue it, and is still in use Im Polish living in UK ive watched all your videos i think 😁, my first one was when you rescued little squirrel Love watching when you making something from nothing where most ppl would scrap it you bringing this to live and its still useable I like to get my hands dirty in cars and bikes too You're very positive person mate and i love your garage 👍
You really have a talent on finding the nicest views even in the most derelict areas, thanks a lot for showing us around! Still wish I had the founds to get me a Suzuki DR650 or even a KTM 400, love these bikes you don't have to worry for if you can't keep the rubber side down... 😉🙃👍
Hey great video. I get what you mean about dual sport bikes. As much as I love my gs I love my 96 DR650 more. So much so that's what I chose to ride around Australia this year. Simple primitive bikes are way easier to fix when your 1000 miles from a dealer or 500 miles from the nearest mechanic.
Pretty cool ride-along video! Petty Island was used at one point as a fuel storage depot for the petroleum company Citgo. Also, Koch Industries used it for asphalt manufacturing. The place is a toxic mess but they are cleaning it up.
Yeah you could see where the fule tank where placed at by the gigantic circle of water on the ground. I try sneaking in yrs ago riding through Camden but was pretty well guarded.
Excellent video Chris :) bike path on near river and bike find spots are true ! Up my area is small trails for motor bike off roads types and plus 4 wheels ones also in Winter Season months Snowmobile do it too ! Plus lake near me when frozen up with more 6 inches do Dirt bikes also ATV and Snowmobile racing in February to April! But lots trails north off me Snowmobile and stop restaurants to lunch or spend nights at too in Winter Season months! Plus trails permit needed!
Those 600's are good but I wish I still had the BMW R80GS Dakar I bought new in 82. Nice easy riding bike, a touch top heavy for serious off road(tank is very big, around 30 liters) but easily manageable. Not many GS's around anymore
Lol so good Chris. Favorite channel and cool bike aside, I live in Port Richmond and a close bud has a garage in Morrisville so seeing the very familiar spots from a great TH-camr is so refreshing Had to laugh at 15:38... I go walking back there somewhat often on nice days and was just at the exact persepctive at that timestamp. The pier you're looking at is really cool to wander back to. Kinda scary since you have to straddle the water, but you get a great view of the surrounding abandoned infrastructure. Better view than Graf pier imo. Cheers from someone watching from a couch a 15 minute walk from where this video took place lol.
Hi Chris, you asked us what we'd like to see more of. Well I love videos like this! Watching you ride on the motorcycle all day! Good job of it! Please do more!
The best riding is over by Atco Raceway. You can take trails all the way to LBI and beyond. I did live a mile away from there. Also look into the Hammer Run. It's every fall, and a blast!
Hey Chris, always love seeing your videos on this bike. In fact, an ‘83 XL600 became available and i jumped on it. Needs some work to run but can’t wait to hit the Maine trails out where I live. Would love to see you do a video on common mods and improvements for this bike! Always enjoy your content!
Dude I love your videos so much finally had to comment on one thank you for taking all the time that you do to post on both channels you're pretty awesome...🤟
Awesome to hear that you enjoy the videos and appreciate the comment! Thanks for coming along with us on adventures
100% agree.
@@NNKH2 something about chris. He is the real deal. He knows his shit too. Ive learned alot just by watching. PART 3 ON THAT CHEVELLE CHRIS!!!!

Thank you Chris for taking us places we wouldn’t normally be able to go to or see. I live vicariously through you and Jen’s adventures.

I'm not a bike guy but exploring and scenery shots are awesome. Keep up the cool stuff. I've learned to watch till the end for the side track fun.

Amazing to think that for decades those piers were busting with activity,
Everyone that worked there are long gone.
Looks like a blast! That is a great little bike, definitely a dying breed. Enjoy!

Been waiting for this. I’ve had a bunch of XLs and XRs over the years including a few XL600s. Good stuff!
Thank you for sharing and your APPRECIATION to your subscribers Chris
Love the excursions thru town and by the river!!! THANKS!
Love the Honda xr's had a few over the years.

Thanks for the adventure. Enjoy the beautiful weather and stay safe.
The best riding is over by Atco Raceway. You can take trails all the way to LBI and beyond. I did live a mile away from there. Also look into the Hammer Run. It's every fall, and a blast!
Some of the best riders ive seen come out of those south jersey quarries and eastern pa trails
That looks like a lot of fun!
It was a fun day for sure! Love going out on little exploration rides
My first bike was an ‘83 XL250R. It was a great bike.
