I do indeed like this setup, especially the inverted pedals. I build mine from 2" pvc and a cheap Recaro copy from ebay and I've been slowing adding to it. Since I'm I'm metal fabricator I put in a 1/4" aluminum treadplate floor to make it more rigid. Looks cool bro
Moin, you made a fine RIG there I'm more of a hobby at ACC at the Series X and just looked at what material had accumulated over the years. I built my RIG completely out of wood and this is what it looks like now. It only has to be filled and then painted black with orange accents. However, it has become quite massive (1.72 mx 1.20 m). I built in the Gamechair as only I am allowed to sit in it. So he didn't have to go on any rails. Unfortunately, the options on the XBox are very limited. I took the 3 vibrators + control from an old massage mat, screwed 2 of them into the seat and the third to the pedals. Connected via the subwoofer of the Gamechair. Not as optimal as on a PC, but the result is astonishingly good. Engine vibrations, curbs or gear changes are simulated well. I can proudly say that I have made something fantastic for me out of "junk in the basement". Except for a few corners, I had everything lying around. I think it's great when someone thinks about it and builds something for themselves. Anyone can buy ... 😄 Definitely a nice video of you with a great result. Here is a very short video of my RIG in its current state. th-cam.com/video/BuATCe7t4Xs/w-d-xo.html
Wow, cool. I'm watching and, boom, I also got Thrustmaster TX 458 Italia :-) I thought for a while that maybe I should bought T300 RS GT (1080 degrees, 3 pedals), but now when I've discovered that in ETS2 which I play (and also in other games) there is no need to have separate clutch (ETS2 changes gears without any clutch and in many games there is automatic clutch) and I can make simple h-shifter from a pad I have no more complaints about what I've bought. 900 degrees for me is also fairly enough. Greetz for ya :-)
I was just looking into doing this exact same similar thing except with an ND Mazda Miata so I was looking for similar projects / car replica sim cockpits. I was also planning on using the actual instrument cluster / CAN bus and an arduino with SimHub so the Sim racing games can send data to the gauges. I was also thinking about mostly using 80/20 aluminum for adjustability as Im assembling it (but will be a bit more expensive) and then wood for the floor / large flat areas and to cover up the spaces between the frame. I Imagine using 80/20 aluminum would be easy with its adjustability and then to mount the gauge clusters, interieor panels, etc. I would just need to either 3D print mounts or carve shapes out of wood to mount to the panels. I also have the same office chair as you lol
Put a battery tender on your battery so it stays charged constantly and when you use your rig unplug it from the wall when you’re done for the night or day plug it back in do you not use it when operating in
Toyota yes but a Ferrari steering wheel why unless I’m seeing rong and no hate I think this is probably one of the coolest things you can do with a car!!!!
Even has an electric seat: AMAZING build! 👍👍👍
when i seen you allowed the electric adjustability of the seat my jaw dropped, crazy
Thanks! Yea the seat adjustability is a must!

You should include the measurements and the wood thickness.

Haha it totally would!
This is so sick ! I need one now haha
Haha do it!
How did you connect the seat?
I just went to a Pull-A-Part to get a seat for 30 bucks lol
Didn’t pick a electric one cuz I have no idea how to connect it

you should buy a better wheel that allows custom wheels so you can get a supra wheel fanatec is the easiest cuz it has an adapter
Definitely something I'll look into doing in the future! Thanks
