Moin, you made a fine RIG there I'm more of a hobby at ACC at the Series X and just looked at what material had accumulated over the years. I built my RIG completely out of wood and this is what it looks like now. It only has to be filled and then painted black with orange accents. However, it has become quite massive (1.72 mx 1.20 m). I built in the Gamechair as only I am allowed to sit in it. So he didn't have to go on any rails. Unfortunately, the options on the XBox are very limited. I took the 3 vibrators + control from an old massage mat, screwed 2 of them into the seat and the third to the pedals. Connected via the subwoofer of the Gamechair. Not as optimal as on a PC, but the result is astonishingly good. Engine vibrations, curbs or gear changes are simulated well. I can proudly say that I have made something fantastic for me out of "junk in the basement". Except for a few corners, I had everything lying around. I think it's great when someone thinks about it and builds something for themselves. Anyone can buy ... 😄 Definitely a nice video of you with a great result. Here is a very short video of my RIG in its current state. th-cam.com/video/BuATCe7t4Xs/w-d-xo.html
Nice job. Built this rig several years ago. Bought the plans for the triple monitor mount but bought an accuforce v2 so I’m about to just bite the bullet and order a sim-lab GT-1 cockpit and triple monitor mount. This cockpit has served me well and if I can find someone local to buy it then I’m sure it’ll serve them well for more years to come.
As cool as that would be, the design is trademarked by Ricmotech. It would be cool to see them sell it though. I would have purchased it myself if it was an option.
I'm not sure of the actual weight, but MDF on it's own is very heavy. If you had to move it while it's all put together, you would need two people. If you separated the platform from the uprights, it is easy enough to carry in two pieces. For anything more scientific than that, you'd probably want to add up the weight of a 3/4" sheet of MDF, 3 2x4s and about 1/3 of a sheet of 1/2" plywood. Home Depot or Lowe's might have them listed on their website. Hope this helps.

Kenneth Voiland You must be on drugs. 😜
What are the dimensions of the side panels? They look small
They are roughly 26" tall and about 31" long.
When will part 2 come out? :)
Soon! I was busy with work stuff, but I just got all of the other footage moved and ready to edit today. Thanks for the sub!
@@MaximumSponge Nice, because I'm also wanting to build one. I searched for the most recent video i could find. Looking forward to it!

@@MaximumSponge thanks
No dust mask cutting any that mdf. You do realise mdf dust is pretty nasty stuff.
