You nailed everything you said. I’ve been following since 32 zel came out and about to be on my 3rd time seeing him on tour. To see the transition between when I started paying attention to seeing him after imperial and now with this album. Legendary journey.
Such a good album from Zel, shame that this vid isn't getting enough love from the people tho. Album started at an 8.5 and went to a 9/10 for me after a few listens. Also the short track "Smell of Death" was more of an interlude so don't give it too much hate for it's length. Much love
For Walkin, the flow reminds me Aruarian Dance from Nujabes and the flow switch up reminds me of Mural from Lupe Fiasco. You can count on Denzel being a fan of Japanese culture.
I believe that the album is centered around a psychedelic trip because a lot of the thoughts and feelings and words on this album like the stuff he is saying and talking about are things that are very common to think about when you’re on a trip. Like is heaven or hell fr, racism, why do people do bad things, wanting to be a better human being. Also the cover is trippy looking like you’re on shrooms or acid. When I took a psychedelic it felt like my old way of thinking melted away and I could see a better future and being a better person moving forward. Idk I could be reaching but everything about this album is telling me this.
Lots of songs on the album flow into the next, check out the end of mental going into troubles, the end of melt session 1 going into walkin, and the end of worst comes to worst into John Wayne

Nah you bump that shit to a 9 or higher because of how it flows though. Like yeah a bunch of solid tracks is good, but when its the type of cohesive where when you play one song you accidentally listen to the whole thing... that's special
It’s weird when you know an album is good but hardly like any of the songs. I can tell Zel but his soul into this. And I respect this work of art. But personally besides X-Wing, Walkin, and The Last. I don’t fuck with any of the other songs on this album.
Might be a stretch but the line on X-WIng about keeping it PC and letting the MAC pop, not only is it a computer reference, PC also stands for Pistol Caliber and the MAC is chambered in .45 or 9mm which is a pistol cartridge.
