Can we acknowledge how great it is to have rod in front of the camera with the crew? as someone who's been watching since 2012, I remember the days of rod always being behind the camera and always wondering his opinion on things.
Denzel told Anthony Fantano in an interview that there are so many people on Ain't No Way completely by chance. They just all happened to meet up somewhere and all agreed to make the cut together
i love this album. denzel curry is pushing the modern sound(s) of rap masterfully with each record he puts out. and his lyrical content is brilliant too.
Denzel’s trajectory and story is so layered atp. From the days of TH-cam freestyles and random clips/music videos with Raider Klan and CSPG ,to me seeing him live in 2014, to now, Its been amazing to watch. Only Tyler and Earl have a bigger progression I can think of from that era of teen rappers.

Denzel’s magnum opus. No skips. I’ve been a fan for years, and it feels good seeing how he doesn’t have 1 bad album + seeing how far he’s made it is incredible.
@@stopwaitingfam I’m not the biggest fan of the X-Wing hook but overall it’s a good song. Also…I don’t agree with that “Troubles” take but I see where you’re coming from.
This album is so amazing. Denzel's diversity, maturity and overall growth has been dope to see. I keep going back to this album and I can see it being my top 5 mid year and let's see if it makes my top 10 or stay in the top 5 for the entire year.
I know his building blocks was with N64 and Imperial, but Taboo was the project that made me appreciate Zel. That album was his Section.80 as far as full potential artist. But THIS album imo is a hip hop masterpiece. Everything from Jazz, R&B, trap, 90s boom bap. It’s everything I love about Hip Hip in this one album
Denzel is one of my fave rappers after this album Great ass career so far and great project after great project. Melt My Eyez is gonna be a top rap album of 2022 7-8 months from now.
If Zel is still not getting his credit after this album then something is wrong. This is an AOTY candidate without question. There is not a single skip on this album.
I don’t like it better than ZUU or TA1300 (probably because I just love him over those kinda beats same as Myke) but this may be the most polished Denzel Curry yet. There’s definitely growth there.
This has to be his best work since TABOO, production was solid throughout and the features were on point. No skips and its cohesive and consistent all the way through so this is a 10/10 imo.
Denzel Curry is easily one of the best rappers out rn. He’s just made great project after great project and his evolution of sound is just absolutely crazy. I wish his name got more recognition. He deserves every bit of it
I listened to this album 3 times without looking at the track listing. Easiest listen in a while. No skips. Smallest gripe is the beat for the hook of ZATOICHI, but I understand why it's there. 10/10 album. I also thought ZUU was 10/10 as well, but this brought it to a 9
Favorite tracks (as selected by DEHH) - "Sanjuro" (All four of them liked this song). "Walkin", "Mental", "Ain't No Way" (3 out of 4 liked these three songs), "Angelz", "X-Wing" (2 out of 4 liked these two songs)
I just gotta say I love y’all’s new studio setup. It’s seriously professional and it’s an improvement upon the casual vibe of y’all’s last place in my opinion.

I think this was a pretty dope album from Denzel Curry. Taboo is still my favorite album from him. It just seems that album has more vibrant colors in the music than this album.
LMAO, 454 is a dude hahahahah he just always pitches up his vocals. He has been my favorite rapper for more than a year, I’m sure y’all wouldn’t like him knowing y’all’s taste but he’s the new wave and will surely blow up once high pitched vocals get more mainstream attention. If you wanna give him a shot listen to Andretti, this song is so addictive I’ve been listening to it literally every day at least a couple times since it came out.
I would say Luke Skywalker is an influence on here for Zel in that this album is in a way about his own heroes journey and especially for a nerd like Zel, there aren't many heroes journey stories to look to that are more iconic than Star Wars
I read the interview they mentioned - Zel was specifically referring to RotJ Luke, when he's a little older, wiser, still a good guy but a little myterious and dangerous. I think the point he was trying to make was that he still wants to go hard in his music, but he's not willing to be crass and offensive to get there any more.
Worst Comes To Worst is everything I’ve ever wanted from Denzel, can’t believe y’all didn’t hit on this track more. Also y’all were sleeping on Zatoichi too.
