I'm a beginner at the guitar and my dad said if I can play this song flawlessly I could have an electric guitar. Could you please help me out with the tabs?
@@LearnGuitarFavorites i know you said drop D tuning but are you also tuned down half a step? My guitar may just be naturally at a higher pitch or something but it just sounds a little different. But I can finally play it!
Just picked this one back up to play at a show in our small town. I came back to you for the refresher . Thanks Robbie . Hope y’all are doing well out there in the Southwest
This is by far, the most accurate instructional video of 'A Country Boy Can Survive". Saw that Blake Shelton, "Who Are You When I'm Not Looking", tonight to. It was awesome. Keepnup the awesome work Rob. Message me when you can. I'd reallu like to talk. When you can.
I watch a lot of videos to shortcut figuring out the chords on my own. It's great, but what I've discovered is that I retain them much longer if I just sit down and figure them out myself. As beginners years ago, that was the only way we were able to do it. Subsequently, I can remember songs from 30 years ago better than one I just nailed down in 5 minutes last night. Not discrediting this channel by any means, if I didn't watch these I wouldn't be here to post! Just pointing out something from personal experience. AND, I'm a decent rythem guitar guy when I play pretty regular, but no showman for sure!
@@LearnGuitarFavorites, that's true, but you notice I'm still trolling for easy knowledge! Keep up the good work. One thing I don't have at this point in my life is a few hours each evening to sit on the floor with a pad, pencil and casette deck to learn them! Lol.
Wow! Such a complete lesson for a single guitar! I used to think the way you taught songs was too difficult for me until I realized how intricate your lessons truly are... God bless and keep producing quality!
I just wanted to say, being a drummer/percussionist and now picking up the guitar, your videos and instruction has been really great. Thank you. With that being said, I would like to learn how to play Josh Thompson's, "Way Out Here".
me & my wife were checking you out on this &heard you play this intro ,very well done you definitely got out attention you were sitting next to me on that definition high five
Great lesson. Could you please teach us “just call me Hank” by Hank jr.?? As of right now , you’d be the only person to do it. I can’t find a single video for this song,ANYWHERE
Also the fill after a verse , is a hammer on and pull off on the third fret on 2nd string and pull off to an open repeat those two with the D major chord. It adds the Hank Williams feel to it.

Looked through your videos recently. Didn't see it, have you done The Gambler by Kenny Rogers? Like your stuff you've got a real Mister Rogers with a guitar vibe going (that was a huge compliment, just so there is no confusion)
Its tough starting out Cayden. My advice is work in some simple patterns really slowly until you perfect them and then speed them up.👍🎸 Hang in there, it will get easier.

If you enjoy HWJr's music. I recommend a little tune called The Souths gonna rattle again

In the intro, instead of moving the "D" shape up to the fifth fret, just play an "F". So the chord progression goes "D" "Am" "F" "D"
I have been hoping you would get to this one. Thanknyou

There's no A major in verse ? And the Aminor is an Aminor 7th. I play the G/b third frets on the 1st and 2nd string and 2nd fret on the 5th string.
So each chord gets 1 strumming pattern before changing chords?
