Hank Jr ain't Hank Sr and never claimed to be. I grew up listening to country music, and while I prefer classic old school country, there are some singers and music today that I can get into. I remember hearing stuff from the 70's and 80's and thinking how THAT wasn't the same as "classic" country. Now it IS classic country. Times change and life is too short. Enjoy people and their music for what they are and not compared to someone else. Otherwise you'll always be disappointed. BTW...I'm a fan of Blake's for more reasons than just his music. His life has been a country song...and he has still survived. Him singing here is just an encore for the fans after a concert. Its improv and not a studio recording. Every artist that I've ever heard sounds different when they do this, and personally, I LOVE it when they do. More human than the record stuff.
