It’s not always a fun process to go through, but rebuilding is the most effective way to build a long-term championship contender in any sport. Of course, rebuilding is simply a waste of time if you don’t do it accordingly.
Here are the five best NFL rebuilds since 2000…and the five absolute worst.

How are you guys not going to include the bengals. They rebuilt the whole team in three years and ended a 31 year playoff drought and went to the super bowl in the same run. These past few years they are the literal definition of underdogs and they have shown they are here to stay

The bengals rebuild with Zac Taylor has been good so far. The first few years were rough but getting joe burrow and the front office building a team around him worked very well.
The saints also had an outstanding rebuild in the mid 2000s also leading them to a Super Bowl win
Not having the 2005-2009 Saints is a shame, they went from being kicked out of their stadium and not reaching the playoffs in years to getting a new HC and QB and winning it all not long after

After the week 15 performance of Trevor Lawrence and the entire Jags team I'd like to think things are finally headed in the right direction for the big cats. I've been a Jags fan since their inception and what I know for sure. Don't count the playoffs till it happens lol. But seriously, have a lot to be stoked f about after that performance from my Cardiac Cats yesterday..

The greatest rebuild in NFL history. Is Chuck null rebuilding the Pittsburgh Steelers. When he took over the team in 1969 Pittsburgh was the worst team in NFL history. He had a completely different mind so when he came to players. For years teams would trade picks for players from another team. This was before free agency. He decided to trade players for picks and collect lots of picks. His very 1st draft pick was MEAN JOE GREEN. And for the next 5 years he would draft a law of talent. Then in 1974 He drafted 4 future NFL Hall of famers and sign future hall of fame player Donnie Shells as a undrafted free agent. In 5 years he turned a team that was finishing dead last in the league to winning 4 super bowls and 6 years.
Bengals had the best 2 years of a short rebuild and they are not mentioned?

The 2017 Philadelphia Eagles rebuild is one of a kind mainly because of all the receiver targets they added in their Super Bowl LII one seed underdog winning season!

How did the 2019-2021 Bengals NOT make the cut? They went from worst to Super Bowl in just 2 years and completely redefined how to rebuild quickly!

Chiefs went from a 2-14 season in 2012 and been to the playoffs ever since. 10 straight playoff appearances, 2 SB appearances, and a trophy 🏆 in 10 years.

I'd say the Bengals had an extremely successful rebuild as well, and Houston blew everything to smithereens, even though they were very competitive, to make yet another rebuild because Bill O'Brien is a hack.

I came into this video expecting to see the Lions in here as well especially with their 0-16 season. The Schwartz era was by far the most effective when we were able to push for a playoff appearance and got screwed against Dallas. Then the Caldwell era saw us have mediocre season one after the other. Easily the worst was the Patricia era. And now finally this team looks like a fun team to watch even when they lose. Except in the game against the pats where it didn’t look like anyone wanted to be there.

No 2019-2022 Bengals? Excuse me? After getting Joe Burrow and Ja'marr Chase they went from a laughingstock 4 win team to the SUPERBOWL in one year. And now in this season they are 12-4 and for the second year in a row are the champions of the AFC North and are making their second SuperBowl run in a row. Jeez. Unreal. #WhoDey
20 Best runs of the 2022-2023 season
The Browns have had one of the most disappointing “rebuilds” so far. The Baker Mayfield project was all for a win in the wildcard round that was playing their third strings? The Browns also clinched a playoff spot from beating the same banged up team. They weren’t even that good, considering their negative point differential.
They were supposed to be the class of the AFC last season, yet they weren’t even the class of their own division. What a disgrace.
Unpopular opinion: The 2007 Browns were a stronger force.
Goes to show us that Cleveland should NEVER attempt to rebuild ever again, because it always ends in disaster. At least the Bengals isn't on the Worst list, but up until 2019 it's been rough for them
This is a TERRIBLE List! Not only did you leave out the Bengals (mentioned several times), but you left out the New Orleans Saints. The team was LITERALLY blown out of their stadium in 2005 after Katrina. They bring in Sean Payton, Drew Brees, and WIN the Super Bowl after the 2009 season. This lead to another decade of Sean/Drew being a threat in the NFC. HUGE rebuild!!!

What about the good rebuild of the Bengals? They rebuilt the team in 2019 with a new head coach and Drafting a franchise QB and WR, 2 years later in 2021 they went to the Superbowl
Rg3 was a snider pick, not a Shanahan pick. Shanahan drafted great players in different rounds. Reed, Morris and cousins were good players that he found in later rounds

You could have put the Bengals 2019-2021 rebuild as one of the best. I mean, all they did in 2021 was go to the Super Bowl. They went from having the first overall pick to a long term Super Bowl contender.

@@sml2k186In the 90s, you would be right, but they probably started a good turnaround when Marvin Lewis coached the Bengals, and claimed 2-3 division titles in the process (despite not able to win a postseason game until last year, when they reached the super bowl) and now with Taylor coaching, I don't think reaching the Super Bowl will be their ceiling.
I don't know why the jags get so much hate. They might not have any superbowls, but they reach the afc title game at least once a decade. Considering in the time span, they have been active, they have more conference title game showings than the bears, lions, saints, bucs, jets bills browns Bengals, dolphins, cowboys cardinals Seahawks chargers. Seriously this is how you want the first half of your teams existence to go. Only thing the jags missing is a superbowl. Get them a Shanahan, they have at least 1 superbowl. It's a longer stretch than that. That way getting rid of Odell and JPP are included. The entire Gettleman era was "win while rebuilding."

@@bennyroyogurt5922 definitely but they really started rebuilding after 2018 when they drafted Daniel jones and manning retired. Until this year they were struggling to higher the right coaches to bring out the best in the players they drafted such as dexter Lawrence and Daniel jones
