For NFL fans, there are few debates more fun than discussing if a certain player belongs in the Hall of Fame or not.
There are so many stud defensive players in the league right now who have essentially locked down their spot in Canton. There are plenty of others on the borderline, but our guess is that they’ll ultimately fall short of earning themselves a gold jacket.
Here are five active NFL defensive stars that will make the Hall of Fame, and 5 that unfortunately won’t receive that honor.

Cam Heyward is a Steeler I'm sure he will make it to the HOF.
Awful take, there are already so many Steelers in canton which makes the voters shy away from voting more Steelers in. Lc Greenwood and Hines ward for example. Also took Alan faneca like 10 years to get in as one of the greatest guards ever, there’s already a anti Steeler bias

Why does Cam Hayward get such little respect? He has been an absolute beast at the Dline in a 3-4, where mainly they are there to eat up blocks to let the LBs get the sacks and tackles. He has played his best with horrible ILB play also.
Without him, a horrible run defense would of been even worse last year. If Cam wasn't there, opponents could of just called 100% run plays the entire game.
He may be overshadowed by Donald, but he is for sure 2nd best in the league.
Not to mention he was not placed on the all-decade list, which is stupid considering the other players they placed ahead of him. If he doesn't get in the HOF, its because of bias against the steelers

Old School but Roy Jefferson of the Steelers, Colts and Redskins deserves to be in. Led the NFL in 1968 in receiving yards with over 1,000 yards, then had another 1,000 yard season in 1969. Then won a Super Bowl with the Colts before leading the Redskins to a Super Bowl. All Time Great, What About Roy!!

The fact that 3 Rams players are on y'all list speaks directly to the draft pick fire sale L.A. lit a couple years back to hopefully rack up championships... So far 2 appearances w/1 dub under current regime aint bad but don't get it twisted, most of star roster isn't homegrown. Jacksonville, Detroit, Seattle and Cleveland are just a # of the cities i consider to be real home teams of a good # of key players

Will - Harrison Smith - He has been the best safety in the league over the last 11 years and he is not done yet. Not just the most interceptions of any player over that time period but he is a great tackler and a menace in the box both in run support and as a blitzer. Aaron Rodgers says that he is the most difficult safety in the league to read.

I think he’s a fringe guy. One all pro and 6 pro bowls, on the back swing of his career. The super bowl helps, so maybe at the back end of his candidacy. I’m an eagles fan and hope he gets in, but it’s no slam dunk

I’m not saying I completely disagree with any of these opinions. But I also can’t agree completely either… Jalen Ramsey may make it by the end of his career but to say he’s a shoe in is a reach IMO. And Heyward will most likely not be considered after he’s eligible but you can’t deny how dominant he is in the game today. 5 pro bowls , 3 first team selections 340 solos and 150+ QB hits. With still many more productive years ahead. Although I may be bias on tht one.
