We saw Thanos torture and kill his own daughters. Kang was not as threatening.
They should’ve had Gorr as the main villain in Phase 4, killing off gods throughout the universe in the background of each movie (sort of like Thanos previously) before culminating in a fight with Thor that introduced Kang somehow. That would’ve been amazing
I definitely agree and bring in Kang afterwards but Loki already set the stage for Kang. They ruined Gorr and wasted Christian Bale. We weren't sold on him at all as a threat. The way Kang went down in this movie doesn't warrant a comparison to Thanos yet. Thanos won in Infinity War, while Kang lost in Ant-Man so it remains to be seen how powerful Kang is.

I’m referring to Thanos sitting in a chair looking like an angry grimace until he grumbles about needing to do it himself. Kang at least you know…. Fought…. Has motivation and emotion…. Immortus was handled darker than I anticipated and I’m VERY into it. Gives off quite an uneasy feeling.
I think the Kang in Ant Man will end up being the big bad in Secret Wars. Makes sense, to pocket him for a while, and where ever he went to transforms him into a god-like being. Would make sense, since it seems like we're not getting Doom for a while. Maybe he went to the Beyond and becomes the "Beyonder".

I was disappointed that he wasn't in wakanda forever, but at this point I think they're better off saving him for phase 7 and beyond. He's a very big character who deserves a proper introduction before he is the big bad of a movie/saga. It doesn't seem like there is enough room to fit him into the slate leading up to secret wars now. Not to mention his own film which is something marvel haven't done yet. If he is gonna be in secret wars maybe he could play a minor role rather than going for god emperor doom immediately.
He’s got to have a role! Doom is the big bad in the comic version. Only makes sense. Do Kang first then he maybe gets killed off by Beyonder…have Doom in there somehow get control of the gadgets or the gear they use and manipulate everything to his doing. Maybe he’s been watching behind the scenes this whole time

They might do that, but might not want to gamble the big drop of F4 on another Kang appearance, dumb people might latch onto that and say it’s repetitive…..not sure.
Honestly I've got a feeling he will be used with Moon Knight, since MK doesn't have a whole lot to do with the multiverse it's sort of the only obvious way to keep him included but you might be right as well, might end up seeing him deal with the F4 and MK before these avengers movies.
So does this mean Rama Tut has already been to ancient Egypt and been beaten by the FF but in a different universe than the 616? That will be hard to make a movie going back and trying to tie that in but maybe they'll find a way.

I agree dude it’s a missed opportunity if not. Just a shame we are technically only getting another iteration of the actor and not a completely new one. No offense to the dude I just would like to see more characters not iterations of the same actor for the next phase again. Woulda made Kang Dynasty unique if it was a more self contained phase 5 dynamic. not make the entire next phase; 6, feel like a weird phase 5.5 like; civil war and A2:AOU are essentially just Avengers 2 and 2.5. CW did not feel unique. It was not a Cap centric movie; more of an annual and more of a coda to AOU. fleshing out the upcoming plans/phase

He Who Remains has to be the Kang the Conqueror variant right? The broken statue in Loki Season 1 could be HWR's way of remembering his journey from exile to winning the Multiversal War. If the statues are a reference to the "Top Kangs", why would WHR care if he wasn't one of them? He Who Remains' life is a closed loop, or at least it was.
Well, Kang did say some like that he 'knows how everything ends'. Perhaps that means that he knew he wouldn't die when getting sucked in to the power vortex but get enhanced powers, so he lost, on purpose (but gave a fight so it wouldn't be obvious).
Jonathan was great casting! Loved seeing him as Kang. Movie was pretty great. Ignore the trolls.

My theory goes as follows. The main villain from ant man is the military warrior version of kang who was allied with Scarlett centurion, Rama tut, and Immortus. When it comes to what each variant did this is my theory. Scarlett is the scientist and the one who is trying to configure the timelines. Rama-tut is strategist and due to the fact he rules earth in ancient Egypt it’s easy to guess most of the worlds resources remain untouched since he rules the world at that time. Immortus is their leader and the smartest one out of all of them. He is in charge of the dynasty of kangs with him being at the top. But the one antman defeated was their military leader and the one to wage their fights. Rama-Tut is essentially their bank and resource provider.
That would be pretty cool, imagine seeing a flashback of Rama stealing vibranium from wakanda way back when.
Arent Tut and Immortus actually the same person but from different points of time in his life where the Scarlet Centurian was a variant of Kang that he actually influenced in his guise as Immortus?
When I seen all is those Kang porting in and around the arena.. it reminded me of the scene in the 2nd Matrix movie when all of those Agent Smith clones were running in to fight Neo in front of the apartment complex.
I think the ending of Loki season 2 will have him or slvie go to the main universe and will tell everyone that the council of kangs are coming

I saw quantumania last night and I loved it. I though it's a great gateway to the Kang saga after Loki. It was such a good film about the collective power. Loved it. Regardless what critics say.

Plot holes. They say stuff that sounds cool without thinking the details through.
Heck, even when there's a body they might not be dead or stay dead. (I have never watched Rich and Morty and don't ever plan to) I have no idea which version of Kang will show up and anytime I guess this type of thing I guess wrong -- except what I guessed that the dead Tiamat would possibly contribute to the creation of mutants in the MCU. Knowing the MCU, they will come up with a character that is an amalgam characteristics of several characters for there foreshadowing villains.
The Council Of Ricks are far more deadly.

My crazy theory :
Victor Timely starts talking about the possibility of time travel with his prototype which lead Howard Stark to try and failed then later Tony figures it out. In the 31st century, Kang tries to save his universe but failed which kills his family and then realize that in order to prevent other incursions, he has to conquer/destroy universes or timelines then he gets exiled by the other Kangs follows the events of Quantumania. He gets send to the place where he finds Alioth and win.
I can’t wait for the new Avengers to team up and go up against the council of Kangs!! It would definitely be crazy and cool to see Wanda/ the scarlet witch go up against some Kangs!! Though from some theories I’ve seen, it would be a crazy twist and direction if a Kang somehow used Wanda/ her powers against the Avengers. I remember during your Moon Knight videos, by the end of the first season, some big characters were supposed to have cameos by the end. If a season 2 of Moon Knight happens it would be cool to see the Rama Tut Kang appear during that. I absolutely can not wait for season 2 of Loki to get going!! There’s so much cool, interesting marvel stuff to come in these next few years!!
With Scarlet witch and America Chavez-with pessimistic healing from living tribunal-eventually infinity multiple universes positive various avengers would destroy the council of kangs and no kang the conqueror-one who remains would exist and no kang the conqueror-exiled usurper would exist also.

Hi Charlie! This is one of the best film breakdowns you've ever done. I like and agree with your theories. After three films, people still underestimate the power of the Pym Particle and the ability of ants.
I've seen it often in random videos on this film. Some seem to not have watched the film and jumped on a hate bandwagon or didn't pay attention. The reason this Kang was defeated by Ant Man, even though I don't think he's dead. I think that's kinda obvious. But that this Kang wasn't at full power. He is trapped in the Quantum Realm without all his tech. And when he got a sliver of it back, he got greedy trying to bring his army with him. Which makes all the sense in the world to me, considering he spent decades building them up. Like, I don't get the hate it's getting for how they made Kang weak. They went out of the way to tell us this Kang wasn't as powerful as he could be.
I don't think they did justice with the entrance of kang. If the antman family can take out the "Conqueror", the others should be a joke. When thanos showed up, he beat the bricks of hulk, killed loki, and flinged thor around like a toy.
Not gonna lie charlie, the way they disrespected my boy kang the conqueror at the end of the movie really left a bad taste in my mouth. Your theory of him not being dead and returning to destroy the council of kangs is my only hope that kang's dynasty isnt a dud. I hope your theory is right :(

I don't think that is Scarlet Centurion Kang in the post credit(The Council)... I think it's a Kang from the future... but the suit definitely resembles Iron Lad or some advanced stark tech to it(which could also hint/lead to Downey coming back).... If you look at the first shot of the Kangs in the coliseum...if you look good it's a bright red Kang(the only one) on the floor he definitelystands out... That gives the Comic version of Centurion... especially since the entire coliseum shots were from the comics...

I honestly think that Kang the Conqueror is still alive. However I think that he is stuck inside the orb forced to witness countless probabilities. Would be interesting though if being stuck inside the probability storm doesn’t have much of a negative affect on him since he’s so use to dealing with multiple versions of himself.
I am assuming Kang is just stuck in the same place as Antman with the infinite possibilities in the movie. I think when Antman realizes the council is going to win, he and his family escape to the quantum realm and bring him back to fight the dynasty. With the conquerors help they defeat the council but after that the conqueror Kang turns his attention to the remaining Avengers. The younger ones are evacuated by Loki and the adult avengers either get captured or die (I am looking at you THOR). This leads to secret wars where the younger ones lead by Kamala Khan rescue the other avengers and fight Kang the Conqueror along with the help of a few familiar faces 😉 (Cap, Iron Man, Tobey + Andrew, X men, etc.). Also it will show that the F4 was already there and kept prisoner by Kang outside of time in order to make sure they are protected cz he sees them as family.
This is just if I wrote it that is though 😁

Dr doom has to be as iconic as Darth Vader. He has to terrify the kids. If he ends up being doom light I'll be disappointed! He has to have the right voice, and look evil.
I have a simpler theory Charlie. Kang, the exiled one is He who remains. He's actually "better" than the other variants. His death (Loki) rebooted the timeline and his re-death "endangers" the Multiverse war, and the end of time, hence solidifying Sylvie+Ant-Man (and Jennifer by extension) choices as the biggest L since Star Lord in Infinity War.
I won’t see any avengers movie unless RDJ comes back as iron man in Chris Evans comes back as captain America.

@diggy dub oh I disagree it was just right as far as action, I went in not expecting too much as this was about to kickoff the next 5 yrs of storyline..I don't understand why some people were expecting avenger caliber story..the action was just fine, I did think modok was toned down compared to him in Marvel's avengers video game but hey ..I never ever expect film adaptations to go exactly along the comics or other media..when it comes to gaming spiderman by insomniac on playstation beats the entire marvel writing crew at this point. It's a great start to long wild story get settled in for a long long story
Been saying since they announced Kang and Secret Wars that Kang would end up being God king Doom. Its too much to add Doom in at that point. Thats two heavy hitters. Could work but I never saw them doing that. Made sence for them to combine the stories.

If all the Kangs have to be black I don't think it is believable that Mr. Timely will appear. I don't imagine a black guy showing up in middle class White America in the early 1900s proposing to be a rival to Edison would fly. sorry, that's just the way things were. Blacks were still being lynched for drinking out of the wrong water fountains.

I think maybe the Scarlet Centurion could show up in the Iron Heart Series, along with Iron Lad. Sort of Iron Lad befriending Iron Heart and then at the end of the series the Scarlet Centurion will take Iron Lad away (a la trying to explain how he shouldn't get involved with Iron Heart because he lost his love (in Loki Season 2, etc.). Then, Iron Lad can show up in Kang Dynasty to switch sides and join the Young Avengers in the future.

He did an extraordinary job at making us love to hate him. His versatility as an actor being able to play different versions of ultimately the same person. Reminds me of split and glass. Excited to see how far this character goes

In my opinion the movie was good, the only way Ant-Man could've won was if kang didn't have his powers and thats exactly what happened. I hope Marvel doesn't bring that kang back so they could call it 2 kangs down on the list and we could continue getting more kangs in the future, more powerful and evil ones! I will say this about the movie Cassie's character doesn't feel natural I just have to get used to her now because I had liked the old actress better but oh well👍🏼 thanks Marvel.

Feels a little cheap with Dr Doom being just a Kang variant. Id really like it if Dr Doom surfaces from nowhere to usurp whatever Kang is doing Dr Doom-style and then becomes the ruler of Battleworld in the secret wars movie. Plus would be awesome if Ben Affleck is playing Dr Doom and Keanu Reeves is the beyonder.
His “death” reminds me of the end of Stranger Things season 3 w/the “death” of Harper.
I'm probably wrong but I think the counsel of kangs want the Multiverse to keep clashing into a explosion and become one world, a world of kangs, and Kang the Conqueror is the good one made to be the villain just like Thanos. Kang the Conqueror is who remains of all the Kang....thank you Miss Minutes

One thing that confuses me a bit. The 4 kangs were the leaders of the Kangs those 3 booted one. ok got it so far. Then the he who remains kang some how go op Like more then the 3 leaders that were left atleast. Ok still got it, but when he who remains died it restarted the time lines. So the 3 kangs came back with the others. So wouldnt the mean that one of those kangs would just find golith again and become he who remains again? Like what stops it from just repeating like before?

I am not sure if it's just me, but going back to watch Loki season 1 last episode, every time He Who Remains mentions himself while telling the story, the model in that simulation seems to be wearing glasses; similar to Victor Timely (in Antman 3 post-credit scene) ....is Victor Timely the one who will become He Who Remains?
