- The Tragedy Of Val Kilmer Is Beyond Heartbreaking
Have you ever watched a movie and been captivated by the lead actor's performance, only to later discover that their real life was filled with unimaginable pain and heartbreak?
This is the story of Val Kilmer, a Hollywood legend whose off-screen struggles are as tragic as they are inspiring. Brace yourself for a journey through the life of a man who faced the darkest of demons, yet never lost his passion for his craft.
"Val Kilmer was the perfect actor to play Jim Morrison in the movie The Doors. "
Val Kilmer was a better Jim Morrison than Jim Morrison. Brilliant movie.
For sure❤
Oh yeah val kilmer nail that part in the movie Jim Morrison the door
Yes I agree!!!
yes, the resemblance was amazing, it's too bad that movie fell apart towards the end, it was so good until then
I will never forget him in Tombstone. Oscar worthy
Doc Holliday and Jim Morrison are my favorite Val Kilmer roles.
Mine too just add john Holmes great actor
He was robbed
I love him. He should have won for his portrayal of Doc. What a great job he did on that!
Definitely
Agree 100%
Loved him in that - he delivered great! The cup scene was brlliant. And I am here huckleberry so many great moments. He should have won something.
his eyes were gray? ?
Agreed!!
Too bad he didn't have success like Tom Cruise. Val is the better actor and person by a long shot!
Only the evil who sell their soul thrive in Hollywood.
Fabulous, fantastic, gifted, talented, cool, addictive actor to watch.
AMEN!! I loved him in real genius, he absolutely made that movie!
He was sooooo good looking when he was younger . He was just beautiful
in many ways, he still is, those eyes!!

Cancer sucks everything out of you including your good looks.. I know this personally from having & am dying from Stage 4 cancer. When my journey first started in 2022 I looked Iike I was in my 30's & now I'm looking like I'm in more of 70's age range
@@dawnhogan-poe2135I’m very sorry 🥺
A daughter and son standing with him has to be a rewarding feeling for him. Two great children. Tombstone is a forever classic!!
One of the greatest actor ever.
I first encountered Mr. Kilmer in WILLOW, which I really, really enjoyed. But, for me, his best performance was Doc Holliday. Just extraordinary!! I am glad you've beaten cancer and have come through the experience intact (at least more or less). I hope the rest of your life journey is easier and happier.
Ditto!! Willow then for me, Ice man!!!❤
Yea. My favorite Val Kilmer movie was alongside Vincent D'Nofrio in The Salton Sea. Batman forever was good for it's time also.
Mr. KILMER:
Prays and Blessings To You and Your Family
LORD Be With You...
Amen. ❤
Amen 🙏🏻❤
Christian science...hell awaits
Great actor. I hope for Val all the best for him and his family.

Teeth are the dentist’s job.😂
@@murielvaillancourt3855but that smile is all his😊
The only "horror" film that has ever held my interest: The Ghost and the Darkness; a true masterpiece, rendered so by the brilliant leading actor, the person who is named Val Kilmer. "Difficult to work with"? Perhaps. True genius is often considered so by those who are less intellectually "blessed". I'm no genius myself, yet I can certainly recognize one when I see them. And most importantly, Thank you, Mr. Kilmer, for staying true to yourself throughout your life's journey. You are truly an inspiration to many, of whom you will never know. Including this one, a forever fan. Unlimited best wishes to you.
And those real lions are in a museum in Chicago.
You may not believe you're a genius but you are very articulate with your words that describe how much you appreciate the genius that is Val Kilmer
Love that movie 🎬
Actually love every movie staring val
He always makes me think of Travolta .
Anyone remember Real Genius? I don’t know how young Val was at the time but already he had perfect comic timing drop dead gorgeous and off the charts charisma.
so true, I've watched that movie many times, no matter what it cheers me up
I've watched that movie many times, enjoyed it 100% each time!
Me too 😊 the 80s cheer me up @@24get24give

Heartbreaking and so sad about Val’s illness. He was a handsome man. His son is handsome.
He is indeed a wonderful human being. Thanks for this video!

Mr. Kilmer sir, I do salute you. You are a beautiful human being and a feeling man. I understand this. It’s not an easy path to follow but a rewarding one. Loved this time with you and your family. God bless you all. Much happiness to all. And many thanks for your service to us in film. Thank you for this presentation.
A Brilliant Great Actor Val Kilmer Thank you for the memories ❤ God Bless You Sir 🌹
He is one of a kind. He made great movies
he IS one of a kind, he's NOT dead thank goodness
I met him in the late night hours at a restaurant popular with celebrities. The guy I was madly in love with worked there, and I was waiting for him to clock out so I could give him a ride home. Val Kilmer approached me, and I rejected him, to prove my loyalty to the guy for whom I was waiting. I sometimes tell my son, that he just missed being the son of Val Kilmer! lol
Wow, you WERE in love! Did the guy notice you turning down Kilmer? What about the guy? Did you all break up? That is interesting because of the Val part of the story-but that kind of devotedness and wanting someone is "interesting", too. Did that before-didn't work. Still think about it all. Thanks for the share.
@@ts-eu6mp Yeah, he did notice, and he was upset, cuz he was trying to break into acting & I guess he thought I could get to know Val & introduce him, and I guess I could have done that, but I didn't think of that. Still, it wouldn't feel right, pretending to like someone to help the one you really like. Besides, he was there with Joanne Whalley and some other guy, and he ended up marrying her, so that was meant to be. As far as the guy I turned down Val Kilmer for, we didn't last very long. But, after seeing the way he turned out, I'm glad, so again, it was meant to be.
Such an amazing actor, my favourite performance was as “Iceman” in Top Gun. Wishing Val & his family all the best for the future 🙏
The man who broke a thousand chains is a TV film you must watch.
He is still a beautiful man. Such strength for someone with depression! You are amazing 💞💞
He is an awesome actor. Sorry for his health issues.
Prayers to Val Kilmer. Good luck
'there aint no iguana'

FACTZ.
Loved him.. but, I aged with him..
We must embrace aging.
Sheee - you and about 80 million other women!! You are just one of the rusters, lady. LOLOL
I was madly in love with Val when I was younger.
Still Am
How could I have momentarily forgotten about Thunderheart?! Painful, but magnificent. I have owned an old VHS copy for many years. It has gained even more meaning for me since I learned a few years ago that I carry Nez Perce DNA. A different nation than that of the Lakota, of course, but to me we are still all brothers and sisters. ❤ Again, sincere commendations to Mr. Kilmer!
You're all strong
Lakota or others
Thunder heart rules and always will do so
GREAT ACTOR!!!!
It's amazing how much he looks like Jeff Bridges. Thank you Val!
i dont see that at all j/s
He does
Not much
I was going to say that too....kind of Beau Bridges at 0:38, 6:39 8:18 and 15:08 and Jeff Bridges at 5:18, 5:55, 6:51 and 10:00. I wonder if they are distantly related somehow. I guess it just shows his versatility in changing looks for different roles.
Much Respect!💘💘💘💘💘
Always one of the best gifted actor. "I'LL BE YOUR HUCKLEBERRY" we all suffer from trajic episodes in our lives and heartbreak 💔, strength is a power we are all gifted with, we just have to learn to find it and use it mentally & physically! Put are pain,no matter how bad that caused severe trauma, and strive to look at a better life and picture of a great future! Make it happen & love yourself, first and foremost, 😊
They didn't mention his best movie, "Thunderheart!" This Huckleberry played a pretty good Native American Indian! Go Sicangu(Lakota)😊
I couldn’t agree more. His very best role!
Totally disagree! Can’t touch Tombstone, a definite Oscar worthy role.
Also, The Ghost and the Darkness.
Thunder Heart ❤️ 100%
That was an underrated movie. But Val has so many iconic roles it's hard to pick a best movie. The first movie of his I saw was Top Secret. The guy can sing and do comedy. He is a legend.
Love 💕 you Val Kilmer!
But i really do. I shaved my legs for 40 p I us years every single day. Just in cssd he mighy sto pby.
I had a mad crush on him too .
Hello, Mr. Kilmer! : )
I haven’t seen you in all of your movies, but the ones I’ve seen, I loved your performances. One’s especially close to my heart ate “Top Gun” & “Top Gun Maverick”. I was so happy, that I cried, to see you appearing in the sequel!😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 My heart was genuinely happy, because I had heard about your cancer diagnosis. I myself am battling a similar battle with cancer. I was diagnosed in Oct. of 2020. It definitely changes your perspective on life! That’s for sure. We are not taking anything from this life with us! We only leave behind the bad or good we’ve done. Hopefully more good than bad.☺️ I am also a grandmother. I focus on the grandchildren & making happy memories with them! No one knows how long we have . Tomorrow is not promised. Even the next 5 minutes is not guaranteed. Right now, is all we have at any given moment. I hope you enjoy your time that you have, with your family. May they treasure the time they have with you & you with them! I will keep you all in my prayers! 😊 I too believe in an after life, as well.
I pray we all, will be joyfully reunited with everyone who loves us, & those we love, in the hereafter, God Willing!!Ameen!!🤲🏻
Take care!
Denise🌸
all the best of everything to you Denise, your grandkids are lucky to have you, mine literally saved my life, whenever things got rough at home, which was often, I could call and ask to spend the night, and they'd be right over to pick me up, truly wouldn't have survived to adulthood without them
Tomestone and the 2 Top Gun movies are my favorites,he is still so talented
:)
The first movie I saw with Val Kilmer was Real Genius. Still enjoy it to this day.
I just his acting! May he continue to be blessed, and enjoy his whole family! 🤗🇲🇽
Val Kilmer ❤ thank you for the great entertainment. I will never forget about you. Take care and healing for your soul ❤🙌🤗
A sincere thankyou for this video. I t greatly expanded on what I already knew about him.
I have the utmost respect for Val. His talent shines in every role he's ever played. The biggest respect I have is the strong bond he has with his children, especially after the strained relationship he had with his own father. Truly admirable and remarkable ... God bless him.
Wonderful actor. Sorry for his suffering and lifelong depression. I never realized he was almost as old as I am . Always hope!
I'll be watching Val documentary on Prime next...
I've always admired him as an actor, and gained utmost respect for him in how he chose to face his illness and share his struggles with others. It took him some time to open up about his battle with cancer, but I hope it brought him some comfort and healing in seeing how much support he had among his fans and admirers. And no doubt, he shares such strong bonds of love with his children. Only the best wishes for this remarkable and talented man.
Val was an awesome actor . He was so dedicated to his rolls that he brought each character to life . From Top Gun to Tombstone and all in between . The man eaters of tsavo was a favourite of mine . But at the end of the day many folks endure worst thought out a life time . There for i do not pity this great actor but salute him . cheers .
he IS NOT DEAD PEOPLE, cancer does not have to be a death sentence

In his prime,Val Kilmer was gorgeous.
Have always enjoyed Val Kilmers acting career, he’s great! Especially in The Doors, The Ghost and the Darkness & of course the western “Tombstone.”

Thanks for putting this all together. It was well done.
Thunderheart is my favorite Kilmer movie.
I have wondered if playing Jim Morrison kind of cursed his life, set him up for a fall of his own.
I ❤️ Val
Absolutely wonderful in "Willow!"-- if you haven't seen it, watch it. God Bless Val Kilmer.

ABSOLUTE GEM.
People come down with terminal illnesses everyday. I really don’t understand this dying gratitude for someone you don’t know at all. If you love Val go watch a movie of his, he’ll get paid a royalty that way .

Oh yes thunder heart was great!! He made you feel you were right there with him. At the end of this movie my heart went up up up when I saw the Indians on the mountain there to save him. It was touching.
I wanted to apologize to Val Kilmer for making hi m dead. So many articles come out about all these stars that I. can't keep up with them. I am very sorry, very embarrassed, and wish I hadn't said anything at all. I'm really glad you are alive and kicking!! Life is good, right?
Wendy relax, mistakes happen, you weren't the only one, and you probably don't have the power to do that anyway. yes. life is good
They can use his old voice To convert his present voice, to that.
Love this actor. Praying for him. Dr. Wallach may be helpful. Chata r.p.v
Love his acting my favorite movies are willow and tombstone. I think tombstone really showed his greatest acting!!! He was everyone's favorites as doc holiday.
Best doc Holliday ever!!!!
He is still loved so very much, and very sorry to hear that he has gone through so much. Love ya Val ❤❤
my fave Val Kilmer story was when he was filming ""the Ghost and the Darkness"", the story of the maneating lions of Tsavo. Near the end of the movie, the director told Val to climb a tree, look back at the lion. look afraid and then keep climbing. What the director DIDN'T tell them is that the lion was Romeo, a huge male lion who liked to , and could, climb trees. Val ran to the tree, climbed half way up, looked back and saw Romeo catching up with him, looked afraid and started climbing faster. He later said that as soon as he looked back, he wasn't acting....
Theres only 1 ICEMAN....❤..And an ADMIRAL OF THE PACIFIC FLEET.....
I loved Val's performance as Doc Holiday in Tombstone.
I'm in that club, grace thru highs and lows and yes, not to dismiss this life, but look forward to the next. Not this body! No more love life hurts. Peace be with us who believe in the same.
Yes indeed thunder heart was the best
And he does have native American blood
He is a legend! love to all of his family
One of the best actors I've ever seen on the screen. It's a shame that he's had such tragedies. God bless him❤

Wow! Thank you for this story. Yes it has touched my heart. I never knew he suffered throat cancer, maybe thanks to those videos that made it look like he had blotched surgeries on his face. Well I'm glad to see that he got his good looks back after his cancer. Thank you for sharing this story.
Too many of these mini-docs about celebrities suck. I must admit, this one on Val Kilmer is good. I'm impressed!
I really admire the content you compile
God bless him
Great person with fine religious veliefs
Dear Val, I've always loved your acting and the way you convey your parts in Heat, Tombstone, with the intensity physically and dedication grabs me all the time. Your health condition is traumatizing and saddening. You have a better start in embracing your spiritual side than most people and l am glad to know that.
Always the greats they say are difficult. I just think he was brilliant.
I've seen every Val movie. He's a great actor, he can play all kind of role, comedy, drama, action...
I cried when Maverick come back to see his old friend Iceman. ❤
I must admit I have never watched any movie Val has been in but I will watch them now. His life story was amazing. This man has lived a truly interesting life. I hope to see Val continue his gift.
