The best was when he accepted some award and started slobbering all over himself while giving an acceptance speech.

Best Doc Holliday ever. No one can touch that performance. Poor Dennis Quaid never stood a chance.
And Dennis was great. Val was just on another level. No Oscar is a travesty and the Oscars are worse for it. One of the all time great performances.
We watched him grow up in movies, it’s so hard to see him like this now. Prayers to Val Kilmer and his family.

The way he played Jim Morrison was totally awesome.
My cousin was an extra in the Doors movie. She is briefly seen in a concert scene in the front row as a groupie. She said Val was always in character even when the camera wasn’t rolling. He would flirt as Jim with all the female extras too.

One of those actors that you didn't like as a kid, but then realize you didn't like him because the character he portrayed, and that he's actually an amazing actor.
Willow, Thunderheart, Tombstone and The Ghost and the Darkness was on repeat at my house... Always liked Val

oh, there are plenty of other reasons.
Val Was known as a nightmare to his fellow actors and directors throughout his entire career. He went as far as sabotaging productions if he didn’t get his own way, and verging on punch ups. A total car crash of a human being.
What is interesting is how people like him because of the characters he portrays or because this documentary somehow vindicates him of his horrendous behaviour in the past. It’s a shame Val is not well, but that should not excuse his past actions because of this vanity project. On the flip side, it might be he realises on reflection how bad he was and is some how trying to make amends.
One of the greatest actors ever. He could do comedy, drama, impersonate, sing, dance, It's heartbreaking to see him in this condition, but I'm glad he's still around.
Facts... Doc Holiday was never done better!
Artists destroy themselves it seems if they have a great soul. The lesser ones stick around to become darlings of the industry. The ones with so much fire and magic that they shine, almost always shine briefly. If you are a watcher of such things you are only grateful you got to see it at all.

@@lt4324 there are a number of films about Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp and the events in Tombstone including Gunfight at O.K. Corral in 1957, Wyatt Earp with Kevin Costner released in 1994 and are others.
This man needs to be given a “Lifetime achievement “ Oscar ASAP, because he more than merits it 👍🇺🇸🇬🇧❤️❤️

Saw it yesterday what a tear jerker. Been a fan of his for 30 years and got to meet him in 2005. It’s so sad to see him like this but it’s great that he still has his sense of humor.

Best impression of a singer/performer ive seen was when he did Morrison. Better than Mercury's portrayal in Bohemian Rhapsody by Malek. He is a solid actor.

A very moving documentary. It's heartbreaking to see the consequences of his health issues, but I'm so grateful that Val is still with us and still has the will to fight on and enjoy life. Best wishes to him and his family!

This was probably the best documentary I've ever seen.
We love Val. He stole the show in Tombstone, given the cast that's saying a lot. Really hope they give him his proper due in the new Top Gun, wouldn't have been the same with the Iceman.
