The Vertx Delta Stretch have been my favorite pants for awhile now - the fit, style, comfort, and pocket layout has made it a home run for me over the past several years. Vertx recently updated the Delta Stretch to a 2.0 version, and in this video you'll find out what changed, and if the 2.0 live up to the legendary status of the 1.0. I for one think they did.

Thanks for the review! I have multiple pairs of the Delta and they have been my daily wear for the past two years during the cooler months. Those small side "knife" pockets are a must have for me and the way I carry my gear. I did kinda dig the leather, so it's good to see they'll bring it back from time to time, hopefully with more colors. These were already the perfect pant for me, the extra back pockets put these over the top perfect. It's great to know that Vertx listens to their customers, and I'm glad you have their ear because your assessment of these pants is spot on for my uses.

I just wanted to thank you. I enjoy your videos. They are not just conceal/carry they are alot of things that interest me and I like to watch. My second thank you is, I just received my first pair of Delta 2.0 and yes I did indeed use your code. I love them you are absolutely right! Thank you for your opinions, and your honesty. Keep up the good work.

Just received my first pair of the delta stretch 2.0 and am extremely pleased with the fit, quality and features. Everything you said they were and more. Thank you for all the reviews on your channel and I am especially grateful for the discount code. Placing my order for 3 additional pairs of the pants now. 3 bags, the pants and a few accessories later I am sold on the Vertx product lines.

Thanks to these videos and subsequently discovering the Vertx delta stretch, I started wearing the 1.0 a year ago. Have since lost weight, reupped with the new 2.0s late last year. Great pair, my favorite by far.

You are very detailed in your review. The crouch length is important. Also I love the items you use for reference to size & depth ( aka glock 17 mag/ AR mag) . Tactical pants have improved with time, they are my go to travel & everyday pants. They are now more streamline, that was my gripe with the old Tac pants. Keep up the great reviews.

I got ready to purchase the Delta 1.0 after your initial review but hesitated, and within a week they were replaced by the 2.0. I ordered a pair of the 2.0 and liked them so much I ordered another and asked for a third for Christmas! Christmas day (while I was showing off my pants to relatives) I found a pair of 1.0s on clearance ($26) and ordered those. I like them ok, but the thing I absolutely like best about the 2.0 is the "mag pocket", which of course the 1.0 doesn't have. I keep my iPhone 11 in the left mag pocket. When in a casual environment I keep a skeletool in my right lower side "tool pocket", but when in a more formal setting I slide it up to the mag pocket, where you carry yours. These pants are extremely versatile. I can wear them with a button up dress shirt and dress shoes for office setting or throw on some boots and polo shirt for semi casual, or tennis shoes and a tshirt for working or relaxing around the house. I'm definitely going to have to check out the Cutback for summer.

I’m really liking my 5.11 Quest pants: tapered legs; nice pockets (little difficult placing my knife in the pocket, though, IMHO); super comfortable/no binding; stretchy material on medial legs. Bought a pair in all 4 colors. (No hidden handcuff key pocket that I’m aware of 🤔)
Full disclosure: I have nothing to disclose. No conflicts...just a satisfied customer.
    Really appreciate LLOD content.👍🏻

I truly love the Delta Stretch 2.0, the Mag pocket fits even the largest of phones, and is the best spot to store it in. They're tough as hell too, brutally used a pair for 2 years now and no rips at all. They're the perfect pant for a lot of reasons imo.

Great vid and review, LLOD!!! I've worn the 1.0's for the last 8 years and was in the market to replace a few that now have iron on patches over rips and tears. Thanx especially for the 25% off at Vertx...saved me a ton of bucks and I do like the fact that the utility pockets on the 2.0s don't have the leather...that leather was nice at first but it stretches out the belt clip of anything you try and slip over it! But now the 2.1s have it again so I guess I'm stuck with them again as Vertx doesn't have anymore 2.0s.... I snooze, I lose. Again, great vid and fringe benefit discount!

The exact reasons you like the pocket layout are my exact reasons. Hate two in one location. Love the offset so you don’t sit on it. Love concealing other than clip so you can still look professional in an office setting. Love the zipper pocket when I don’t want to carry a wallet through airport I can zip stuff in and not worry about it falling out.
I like a shorter fly so I’m not zipping my 🥜 though.
I’m trying these with your core. Thanks bro! Great vid!

I bought all 3 colors of the 2.0s and used your code (saved me a good chunk of $), that was a couple weeks ago. I absolutely love the new "mag pockets." I didn't know they weren't on the 1.0 but I'd hate to give them up. Just like you said, it allows me to put on a few more things/tools without sitting on them, especially if they have a clip. It's also a bit more private because my shirt often covers it, I can keep my PM2 (CPM S35VN btw) a little more hidden if need be. I also hang my work badge from this pocket and it doesn't bounce around much with my leg movement or look too silly way down near my knee.
I also got the same belt you are using but I'm disappointed in the sizing, I think I need a size down from my pant size of 32 waist.
Keep the great recommendations coming, you're awesome and I can't wait till I have a truck rigged out like you too!

So are the only options for your smartphone in the main four pockets? Two fronts or two rears? Or will it fit in one of the back pockets or somewhere else? I've been wearing the KUHL pants with the slide in pocket on the side of your thigh which works well for me. If these had that plus the other pockets that I'm seeing on this video that would be the perfect combination for me.

Issac Gutierrez It depends. I’m on the heavy end of a 36 so the first pair was a little tight to carry appendix super comfortably. I grabbed another in 38 and it fits the waist much better when I carry, but they couldn’t take out enough fabric below the knee to make them have my perfect fit. But they are still fine. I just need to lose some weight and get to my real waist size so it’s not an issue lol

Like you said, this is your preference as they work for you. Good review, good looking pants. The tactical pants I have gone with for many years now is the Tru-Spec 24-7 Rip Stop 65%/35% Poly/Cotton Tactical Pant, Stain Resistant, Water Resistant, with a loose fit (which you probably would not like), Expandable Waist Band, and multiple colors to choose from including Multicam. Oh yes with 16-pockets, including knee pockets, 4-magazine pockets inside the 2-cargo pockets, "very" deep front pockets for pocket carry as well, and even more pockets. My only complaint is the crotch hangs a little too low.

I used to be a Vertx guy until 5.11 came out with their Apex pant. The best (for me) out there right now.

Thanks for the video Mike! These pants look a little to baggy around the calves/ ankles for my style, I know you're the pants expert so do you know of any with the same layout but "skinnier"? Thanks!

I have large feet and like to wear boots. Most of the pants I've tried are too tight at the ankle. Do you know of any Vertx or other that have more of a "boot cut"?

Man the 1.0s are awesome! Also love the fusion stretch. Will say to stay clear of the phantom line. Really uncomfortable and not very breathable. Really seems like a vertx carhartt work pant.

It would be better if it had a blend of synthetic to make last longer but probably more comfortable then my Propper. I like the Khul revolver and 5.11

I hope the mesh pocket lining proves to be durable. Sometimes I use an Alabama Kydex pocket holster, and it can be hard on the inside of pockets. The only thing keeping me from giving these pants a perfect "10", is that I do carry things in my back pockets; and I prefer flaps or some other means to secure at least one of the rear pockets. Nevertheless, after the video, I'm clicking on the link and ordering three pairs: if they have my size and the color I need.

As a Delta v. 1 owner ... a couple questions: Are the v. 2 pants made of the same fabric? It looks different in your video? Second question: Are the leg openings the same size? I felt the v. 1 leg openings were a bit large and was looking for a trimmer fit overall (but not 'skinny'). Would be curious to know what the legs measure at the ankle, mid-calf and mid-thigh. Other than that, good review.
