It's honestly difficult to get into other flat racing games, when VR GT7 is just sitting right there. It's like having a go kart track in your house, shit is nuts.
yea if my liquid cooling ever fails and takes my pc out it's gone be a hard sell to rebuilt it over getting a ps5, psvr2 and GT7 i've been waiting for atleast a type of VR patch since forza motorsport 7, since it's still not built in to FM...i'm guessing it's not happening (why have all cars have interiors but not slap VR in there so people can go oe and ah....and race ofc :P though i also wouldn't say no to a patch or extra piece of hardware to mate the PSVR2 to the PC, as a package it just seems like the nicest VR solution out there :P
Gran Turismo has always been a nerdy, lovingly crafted game full of passion for cars and racing history. With 7 they’ve finally achieved an amazing confluence of graphics, physics, sound / light design, and content, after struggling through the 2010s. It’s not perfect, but after all the updates I’d say it’s up there in my top 3 or 4 GT games - and that’s saying a lot.
That was definitely my impression of 7 - I haven't played much of the previous entries in the series but after playing 7 and all the positive comments about 3 and 4 in particular, I'm curious to go back and check them out
I accidentally came across one of your vids, and now cannot wait for new content from you. I really like your style and humour. Keep up the great work.
I have my problems with the menu books and the overall progression with GT7. My opinions largely echo what Roflwaffle said on his series of videos about the game, even if sometimes to a lesser degree. All in all, I do agree that the system we had in Gran Turismo 4, having played that a lot when I was a kid, was better. That said, this game still managed to hook me up in a way that Forza has failed to for years now. Quite often I just select a car in the garage and just....stop doing anything. I just sit there admiring, seeing just how damn good the car looks. A freaking Genesis G70 made me do this. A car I normally wouldn't bat an eye in real life. The sheer amount of details blew me away. Also, having played the new Forza, I found the physics to be more to my liking in GT, especially when it came to the race cars. They feel like they have actual downforce, and they don't drive like they're on perpetually cold tires. At least that's what it felt like for me. This game is on a different league. It's just so nice to play.
I haven't played 4 - from what people are saying it sounds I probably would have enjoyed the progression in 7 a bit less if I had, I definitely need to go back and check it out. I think coming from the Forza career, GT7 progression was basically just a massive breath of fresh air
That Rofwaffle And his fans are bunch of losers . They Making a living out of Bad mounting Gt7 every week . He should stick to being a Harry Potter impersonator.
great vid. about the multiplayer, gt7 has lobbies (what you played as your first multiplayer experience), and a dedicated sport mode that u can find on the main menu. the reason you had to adjust to new regulations in every lobby you joined is because the lobby host can dictate what is and isn't allowed.
GT7 is so professionally thought out that even my Fiance has her favorite songs in it. Even the new car sound gives her a fun little time. Crazy how something made to such a high quality can attract even non car people. It's just a nice place to be.
Gt7 is the best it just feels new and old at the same time nostalgia points 10/10 looks super slick the cars just look identical to the real counterparts and the physics is acurate now we just need updates forever😂
I think the big thing is that GT7 is really a product of the part of Japanese culture dealing with steady refinement and a careful, almost unnecessary feeling, attention to detail. Where, very much like a Japanese craftsman endlessly refining his work, GT has maintained the exact same foundation and formula since day one, steadily hammering away, and there's generally a sense that those who are in charge of producing it are not ok with anything other than objective improvement. Microsoft on the other hand simply just wants to sell you a game, if they can do that without changing anything at all, they will. I'm certainly not an expert in Japanese culture, but from my understanding, Asian cultures in general are more long term oriented, and from a business perspective, one would be more so worried about their image in 30 years, and ensuring they maintain that image. Western Businesspeople are far more short term focused, and have little care for brand image in the long term. their ultimate goal is only to milk a product/ip for all it's worth, and doing so with as little investment as possible until the well has run dry, and when it does they simply move onto the next thing. Microsoft doesn't care about Forza, they only make it because people buy it, when they stop, Microsoft will simply move on because they, just like activation, for example, know even if you hate them, you're still going to buy their games at the end of the day. Sony on the other hand seems to feel as if Gran Turismo is an integral part of the PlayStation family, and sure if people aren't interested it makes little sense to spend the time producing a new one, but if they are, ensuring it is an objective improvement, or at least is trying to be, is about the long term perception of PlayStation, and Sony, as a whole. I mean really the problem is that making a racing game aiming to imitate real life requires: 1. Very smart people 2. Lots of dev time and dedication 3. A steady flow of money over a relatively long period There's a reason most racing sims are relatively small in scale and produced by smaller companies. The engines and systems used in all the major sims go back at least 15-20 years or so. Rfactor, AC, PCars/AMS2, Raceroom, all of them are products of developers who have been steadily building, and improving things, for decades. Forza is fundamentally built around systems that would've passed a decade ago when nobody knew what an actual simulator was, but the bar has been raised, people expect more, but more requires real development and investment.
You have shamed the lack of detail in my video with this comment :D Totally agree with the above, particularly with the short term mindset that is very evident in the way Forza was shoved out half-baked
Just to add to this, if you look at the credits, many of those names in GT7 were also in GT1. Thats 25 years! For a game studio, retention like that is incredible and it shows in the product.
Also, the sound design in GT7 is miles better than Forza Motorsport 8. like, it feels like with Forza the devs used cheap microphones to record the sound of cars so you get cars like the LFA and the sound is all distorted like converting a video to mp3 from youtube...meanwhile with GT7 it feels like you ARE IN the car lol
@@TNumbers oh man it was so disappointing hearing the LFA in FM8... Like, even Need for Speed Shift 2, Rivals and Most Wanted 2012 have better sound lol
and whats even better, is the sound was recorded from different parts of the car, the sound from the front of the car is different then behind the car or in the car like in real life, its nuts, like the exhaust is louder in the chase camera, but the engine noise in a race car is louder in the cockpit on mid engine cars, and even the tones r different... on top of each exaust type (stock sports race) change the type of exhaust and change the sound of the car!
I got my younger brother a steering wheel and GT7 this Christmas. It has created so many great memories. It's been so fun learning how to play this game with him.
Brilliantly presented. Loved the editing of you just popping up in random places and inside the cars. It was perfect quality, and you said everything with no bias. Subscribed, keep up the good work.
never seen your channel before, but really love your style of editing and how you talk though it all of it defiantly going to keep watching your stuff keep it up 🙏🙏
Love how people always say the damage modeling for cars are poor and/or unrealistic. It's a game, and it's supposed to be fun. If the car damage were realistic, you'd be pretty much be done and out of the race after the first crash into another car or wall, and then people would be complaining how it's too hard and the damage modeling is too realistic and not fun.
See: Richard Burns Rally, which still holds up. It’s a case of who the devs are targeting. Casual gamers looking for a fun racer, or people wanting a realistic simulator.
Great video! :) The biggest thing for me regarding Forza is the false marketing. That really ruined it. The visuals in the official gameplay demo was amazing and then we got Watch Dogs'd
Thanks for the support on the vid, I really appreciate it :D Couldn't agree more, going around the Maple Valley track in the game vs that first gameplay reveal is pretty shocking
@@wimpwilson Anytime, brother! You make great videos especially for your channel-size! :) And yeah it really is, constant reminder of "what could've been" oof
The VR in GT7 is so amazing that I've had the VR for a year and never played without the VR since I got it. I can't imagine playing on the flat boring screen again after experiencing VR. I think any racing game that doesn't have VR is not even worth looking at.
This in a weird way gives me hope for FM. I played GT7 at launch, and ot was a shadow of what it is now. Their post launch support has gone a long way to fill the world out into something fulfillinf, but after hitting a wall with cars and just getting lost in GT7, at the time i decided to go back to Forza Horizon
Glad u like GT7 now.. I started with GT with a the pirated japanese version on the PS1 gravitated to Forza until they dropped the ball and now I'm just totally amazed how GTA7 has come back with a passion. Great Vid!
Thanks for the support on the vid, I really appreciate it :D I haven't played much of the early GTs but after playing 7 and all the good stuff people are saying about 1-4 I'm curious to go back
Never played GT7 but one thing that bothers me is how fixed the camera is. Its like its bolted to your bumper and keeps it centered the same way a retical stays centered in a FPS. It feels stiff and makes it look like an arcade racer. The camera in Forza makes the cars look more alive and not like they're running on a railroad track
I actually agree on this one - the chase cam in GT7 is not the best, it gets a bit funky when cornering, I know what you mean about it feeling bolted to the car
its because restarting the game is impossible as its all server saved, and the championships u have are car restricted way more then the old gt games, on top of making upgrading cars during the campaign pointless as they just give u the cars needed for the challenges i really want a campaign that is repeatable, where u start with base car and money that separate from ur main wallet and is used to upgrade that 1 car as u go like older racing games like top gear rally 2 did and i cant find anything like it
Unironically, please do actually do a retrospective on NFS Shift & Shift 2 lol, I was playing them both the other month and ngl they've got some redeeming elements, at least the first one certainly does imo
It's in the pipeline...I remember really enjoying the first Shift, it got a bit unfairly smashed for trying something different at the time. Need to knock out a couple of other projects and that will be coming in the not too distant future. Thanks for watching!
If you want to play GT7 online, you will have a more organized, organic and competitive experience going into Sport Mode and jumping into a daily race.
There are some things that I wish Gran Turismo 7 had and there are some things that bug me about it but overall it is a fantastic game. The graphics are so much better than the latest Forza. Also, as people have said already, GT7 really shows how passionate PD are about cars.
I don't really think GT7 is a good game because the racing (in singleplayer) is poor, mostly because of the AI. I also believe it is flattered by the blunders of its contemporaries. It's passable for a modern racing game, but not when compared with games like FM4, GT4, or some of the older F1 games (in the simcade genre), at least in terms of overall quality. I do think it is superior to FM 2023 though, and by far. Especially because it is clearly built with passion and isn't a bland and cynical corporate exercise by Microsoft.
Definitely agree regarding the single player AI - I think having rolling starts for the events with the cars spaced out leads to most races failing more like chases, you don't get much pack racing the way you do in Forza. Ironically for a racing game I do think the actual racing is probably the least impressive thing about it - all the attention to detail and variety is what won me over. And yeah, the 'Forza disappointment' glasses definitely make it look better
Forza had the advantage of a more modern foundation. But they've found themselves in a similar situation to what Polyphony did for GT5. Polyphony are working on the AI, but I don't think we'll see it fully implemented until GT8. I think we'll continue to see these blunders from Game Pass titles.
@@wimpwilson Set up custom races and set cars to "from garage" and you will see a massive difference, the standard AI cars can be overtaken from last to first in less than a lap not so with custom/from garage races. Plus you get to set up random weather and how fast the day night cycle lasts.
It's updates are fine between both. But appeal it depends. Career mode probably not GT7's cafe isn't that exciting. It works. It's Polyphony being different like they always have but not great. Auto drive is eh in both in GT7 you literally can't get that far with it sometimes I turn it off but it threw me off in one event and I went ah auto drive. Collisions or car damage are ok. I think the wall bouncing is good gameplay wise but realism obviously you turn that off in settings. .tuning is hit and miss due to classes so much in Forza. In 6 I just went nope too of the class car get that one drive well. I never tune cars in Forza Motorsport games ever but you got to look at the feature sometimes and see if it is worth it. It usually never is. In GT games they want you to use it as that's part of the challenge and part of the feature. Forza games it's more part of the higher difficulty but also just how they structure it and goals of it serve a different purpose. The side content is probably better even FM6 side content is as better than the main career being boring and makes FM5 look better why because 6 remixed it obviously. Sure some new event types but in FM7 they put them under tours better not separate them so you only ever want to do the showcases the races for the tours are so boring in 6. In 7 it keeps the sprints I mean 1 lap magic and other new ones from 6 and outs them into the tours and you can go between then compared to FM5 being more all in a row you have the races, cones, class events and more and bonus ones. It's the Gran Turismo 1 championship logic too all events but bonus ones. GT7 keeps the logic of events with strategy and restrictions but probably still has bad GT Sport AI in later events so hard I can tune it 100s of ways of gears, downforce, suspension and driving it and still struggle. So while the restrictions are more fun of any GT games as Forza Motorsport 5+ have classes and more boring lacking challenge both do still lack in fun factor. I mean GT of old still randomiser modded or not you can play 100 different ways with your own restrictions try doing that in GT7. Games try to be perfectlt scripted or subtle in their flexibility so they get eh nowadays. The daily challenges or candy cars are still hit and miss though in both series. Original tracks well GT Sport and 7 have them Forza stopped doing that unless city layouts. Which PGR did better with 100s and varied Forza has ok layouts but so many real tracks I don't like driving on. RIP FM1 original tracks stuck there. The roulette well Forza Motorsport 6 did that and GT7 goes let's make it even worse. GT7 has GT5 level ideas but applied it to tune shop parts. WTF. Forza Motorsport 8 yes makes it tedious but then again for a racing game and how they scale it yeah its a bit dumb. Ratchet and Clank well they did that since 2003 with weapon leveling. And it's fun. For racing games yeah it's a bit pointless. Then again Alfa Romeo Racing Italiano did a points system for rewind (among other features to put points into) it's original introduction then Forza and Grid dumbed it down so go figure. Even Milestone the developer follows suit their old Devs make a unique system for nothing. XD The online requirement well both do that. Whether Forza Motorsport 8 is worse or not of what is offline I don't know. GT Sport is reasonable but the level to unlock or events to unlock requires a good amount of progression. It may not say brand central will go down but I mean. The PS4 Firmware and blockage of online and the store made it clear brand central wasn't so logic there Sony and Polyphony. GT PSP/GT5 was when save file deletion of your moved saves per device happened. I do this research and put it on the GT Wiki. That's how I know. Both games sounds and visuals sure whatever but Forza Motorsport has a position selector and level system for individual cars....... Woo. Yeah give me Ride 4 (well if I can play it even on very easy it's hard as hell) for the Forza Motorsport 1&2 region system expanded upon. Oh and WRC2023 for it's car builders Sega GT somewhat style. Yeah I think I found the games that have better ideas and deserve more support as GT/Forza kind of suck. GT7 is better in some areas but bad in others. Forza Motorsport 8 is the same in its own areas. I support neither but people have their loyalty or gameplay preferences. I use any console but if the game design doesn't appeal to me. Which Forza Motorsport 8 really doesn't and GT7 annoyed me yeah nah.
GT7 has had a couple of year's worth of updates but it still feel like a Grind. FM is better for a quick race. GT7 is better if you like reading about the history of cars. Both need work to get near the best each franchise has produced thus far though. The 4th entries in each franchise are probably the best all round entries. I have every GT game and every forza game, and GT7 has improved in the two year's of updates, so I'll give FM a chance to improve before I properly rate them against each other, but as an automotive sandbox and some quick easy to access fun, Forza horizon spanks the pair of them.🤔
gt lobby is NOT all online races or MAIN online races for sure :D If you wouldv found the daily races, which basically sets you in automatically unless its race C, so no messing up with a simple thing as tyres :D
Though GT7 has had more post release support, remember that it actually started and carried over with all of the courses from GTSport. They didn't resell us the same courses in GT7 as DLC. Everything we got from Sport was there for GT7 on release.
in fact it hasnt sold us anything other then the base game, everything else was free updates, there isnt a single paid for anything other then original price for entry
@@spiderenigma2803 I'm thankful they didn't go a battle pass route. But the cost of some of the cars and the Hagerty auction are still insanely stupid.
I would say it's the other way around; FM23 is so bad it makes GT7 which is pretty mediocre compared to the classic GT games look better than it really is. (Disclaimer: I haven't played GT7 since release, it might be better now but it was pretty underwhelming at release.)
Yeah I've definitely seen a lot of people saying this - I didn't play GT at launch so I guess I got lucky with it to experience it with all the post release content straight away. Here's hoping one if not both these series can get all the way back to their glory days quality
I think its interesting how the games have completely changed their focus. GT, well, atleast the older titles, were very 'static' and everything you could do besides the races was just boring and not interesting. In Forza Motorsport on the other hand, it was appealing, it was fun, it was interesting. And after FM4 that... Just stopped. Now we are at GT7 and FM2023 and GT just feels so much more mature, so much more refined. The "love" that FM2, 3 and 4 had, feels like its now in GT7. While with FM2023 they poured a lot of effort in to proper Multiplayer spec races, but everything else feels completely barren. It's so sad to witness this as a Forza Motorsport fan. I'm even on the edge of just giving up, buying a PS5 and buying GT7... Almost...
Yeah I haven't really played the early GT titles but I know they have a bit of a rep for being excellent games but kind of sterile and bland - so I was pretty surprised when I jumped into 7 and saw how lively and varied it feels
I'm over 600 hours into GT7 and have thousands of hours between FM4, FM5 and FH and FH2. Nothing, nothing compares to the just get in and drive with great physics that GT offers. The new FM is the complete opposite of what turn10 promised. I can't understand how someone that has taken such a big break from the series, can't watch the competition is doing and just improve on that. "from the ground up" was such a big lie
Totally agree, I've seen speculation that something happened at some time in the FM2023 development where they had to throw out a lot of work and start over - would explain the recycled car models and falling so far behind GT even with the massive development time
Based on how you describe what you appreciate about Gran Turismo and find lacking in Forza, it's strange to me that you even consider yourself a "Forza guy".
I'd say that I was a Forza guy - absolutely loved the series all the way up through 7 - The 2023 game was really disappointing for me, I guess GT7 just served my needs better this time around in terms of gameplay variety and an in-depth career mode (admittedly coming to GT7 a while after release so it had the advantage of post-release support)
"That's just a fucking car" Youve actually touched on something ive said about GT vs Forza for years, Forza tries to be Michael bay flashy hyper-realistic, GT is just boring old realism.
Don’t get me wrong Forza is now a state compared to motorsport 3 and 4 but personally I didn’t really like GT7 in single player either. It looks very good and the career layout etc is nice but the AI just feel like obstacles on the road you have to pass rather than cars you have to race against plus they very rarely race against each other. No qualifying in single player, just start at the back all the time too. Most of the time where they line up on the grid is where they finish in race. GT7 multiplayer on the other hand👌🏻ACC best for me now
I was hoping you were going to let people know that GT7 was built for both PS4 and PS5. Forza was suppose to be "built for the ground up" for Series X. It's sad as well when the open world counterpart to Forza has better tessellation on their cars than FM 23. But hey, they got GOTY haha.
Definitely where the series peaked in terms of passion. Not sure what happened over the last 6 years of development but I'm sure it wasn't smooth sailing based on the game we got
@@wimpwilson From the interviews and videos it seems the offices have changed. I wouldnt be surprised if Forza Horizon team is the old motorsport team.
Vr2 every day ,awesome livery ,helmet and suit editor ,brilliant camera special effects and scapes, the best car detail out of any car game, brilliant physics id say gt7 blows forza off the track.Forza is not built from the ground up because most track and cars a copied and pasted from the last game. Digital foundry pointed out how lazy they were with completely different tree lines in comparison to the real life tracks. The steering wheel support at launch was atrocious, the day night transition is pathetic, the wet weather is so far over the top it's not even funny and hardly effects the physics at all unlike GT which will punish you.The comparison isn't even close.
the fact that for my whole life I've been a PC gamer and haven't had a SINGLE thought of buying a console, and now I am sitting there waiting for my PS5 to be delivered to play GT7 speaks volumes. I was really waiting for FM8, but have been completely disappointed with it. Can't say that it is terrible, but man... it just doesn't feel right.
They both have there pros and cons I like Forza handling and physics and I like the atmosphere the nerdy stuff of GT7 and the series as a whole. I like the car list from Forza Motorsport but GT7 at launch was just GT sport with a few new cars. But GT7 added Micro-transactions in the day 1 patch after all major reviews went live and the progression as a whole is broken it takes way to long to make significant money that is needed to buy race cars and its not something I want to do, good video though
Thanks for the support on the vid, really appreciate it. I guess I'm coming to GT7 pretty late so yeah I didn't see it progress from day 1 to where it is now - I do the economy can seem a bit out of whack, some of the high end vehicles are insanely expensive
Now that Sony is leaning towards multi platform there is a GOOD CHANCE that GT7 will come to PC. I really really really hope this happens. I'm a big GT7 fan cause I love VR, and it would just be so great for the PCVR community to be able to hop on. If GT7 comes to PC, that's the end of Forza. There's really no competition here, Forza sells because Xbox doesn't have Gran Turismo.. Some of the forza games have been fantastic. Some of the Gran Turismo games have been meh, but GT7 is a god damn thing of beauty IMO. And the VR version is just absolutely incredible. I love it so much. The gorgeous interiors of the cars REALLY shine in VR. That Ferrari 458 GT4 feels like home for me now. Everything inside it is just beautiful. I feel like I'm inside a completely real car. Fingers crossed it comes to PC. PC gamers deserve better than what Forza brought this time around. A lot better. Also, making paint jobs in GT7 is so inspiring, because the cars just look real. When I do a good job, it's like seeing an actual car with my paint job on it. It's so sweet. Second Also: Love your editing. Putting yourself all around in cars and mirrors and stuff just makes me chuckle every time.
Actually your a tiny bit wrong about the collision physics. In forza the cars have no soft body collision physics and have a sharper tire model. In GT games the tire model was often softer and the cars had a bit of soft collision factor. This is actually realistic to how cars behave irl, but takes away for anyone who likes to scrape and bump. Speaking of which... is part of why ramming is so bad in forza compared to gt!
Polyphony Digitals Gran Turismo is more "Forza Motorsport", than T10's Forza Motorsport. I put Forza Motorsport in quotations, because Forza is italian for... 'grand' and 'spirit'. PG capture the 'forza' in motorsport in GT (not just 7) so much better than T10's Forza Motorsport does in every possible way. The car models are just a seemingly tiny factor in all this... But its not. Its about car racing, so the cars NEED TO look the part. Although, most of T10/PGG's models don't even work properly with the graphics engine T10 went with (jagged edges, broken RT, broken reflections, etc). Also, I like how you toned down the GT7 footage to make it comparable with Forza Motorsport 8/2023/whatevertheheck, and it still blows Forza out of the water. No, i don't want to fuel the ongoing discussion, that everythings better, just because its japanese. I'm sure we all want Forza to be better. It can be better (although, i wasnt as impressed with FM4 than i was with FM2, which was my first FM back in the days), but... Being "built from the ground up", also includes... everything. including the cars. Including the graphics. Including the physics. I for one can not play Motorsport, without looking at the individual polygons from the cockpit view, and then crash into someone because Forza is missing a radar. Or a spotter. Wait... Motorsport has a spotter, she just don't know how to do her job, except for telling us, its the final lap. And how they STILL can not do pit exits properly. I remember back in Motorsport 2, Laguna Seca, they did the same shit as they did with Daytona in Motorsport 2031 (2023+8). Speaking about Daytona and "FORZA"... they don't even have the signatures at the start/finish line. Also, if we take this further: Now that GT Sport has ended its Life span, they did a final update... making it a purely single player experience. How about that. Ivory Tower could learn a thing or two about that with the original "The Crew"... but thats a whole another story
I've been playing GT7 for almost two years and I agree that it is far superior to the new Forza Motorsport. I started with Forza Motorsport 3 way back in 2009 on Xbox and I have been a Forza guy for years now. Forza Motorsport 7 is one of my favorites but after getting into Gran Turismo Sport a few years ago and then Gran Turismo 7, I now prefer Gran Turismo over Forza Motorsport.
Yeah it's a shame you can't get your hands on FM7 now unless already owned, I prefer it over the new one. I'm in the same boat as you, I think I'm on the GT train now after being a Forza guy for years. Still hoping Turn10 can produce better next time, would be great if both series were producing their best
GT is a bit confusing at its start, but I must say, lobbies is not the GT7 multiplayer… keep playing until you unlock the Sport mode, that’s the real deal in GT7
Yeah I really did not like the lack of cars in the FM career mode, they don't even let you use the cover vehicle. GT pushes you into uses tons of different vehicles, which is great
I star to believe that T10 studios have someone trying to ruin Forza Motorsport. I've played them all and Gran Turismo also less the 7 but OMG Forza needs a long way to get good. They can fix up the game actually but it will take a year
@@wimpwilson but there is no excuse for them to launch a product like this, it could have bugs but at least something polished and something to look at and being mesmerizing the quality of the graphics. Let's just pray or wait for the new Motorsport next year like it happened to Gran Turismo with the sport and then to 7 like a reboot of the series.
After putting 150hrs into GT7 I gotta say the game is almost therapeutic with how smooth everything feels. Even the menu music is nice to listen to

Thanks for the support on the vid :D Yeah I handled the MP like an absolute rube, I've got it figured now
Have both. PSVR2 is a game changer, especially with any racing rig and haptic seat cover.
I have the VR2, and concur. Just friggin wow 😊
Same here I will never race on a flatscreen ever again.
💯
if you donjt have a wheel, PLEASE TRY THE MOTION CONTROLS THEYRE AMAZING. and thats coming from somone who plays on a wheel since GT3
So many comments saying the VR is amazing :D I'll have to check it out
GT7 is so professionally thought out that even my Fiance has her favorite songs in it. Even the new car sound gives her a fun little time. Crazy how something made to such a high quality can attract even non car people. It's just a nice place to be.
Gt7 is the best it just feels new and old at the same time
nostalgia points 10/10 looks super slick the cars just look identical to the real counterparts and the physics is acurate now we just need updates forever😂
You can change camera view for chase view and inside view
When in VR2, the cockpit is simply amazing
All I've seen others make are graphics and performance comparisons. You talked about how it made you feel. Subscribed!
Thanks for the sub I really appreciate it! I leave the hardcore tech stuff to the experts :D Glad you enjoyed
I mean really the problem is that making a racing game aiming to imitate real life requires:
1. Very smart people
2. Lots of dev time and dedication
3. A steady flow of money over a relatively long period
There's a reason most racing sims are relatively small in scale and produced by smaller companies.
@@bryo4321that is actually awesome
definitely shows in the product, long term series developers who love what they are making
Imagine someone saying this a decade ago lol
@@TNumbers oh man it was so disappointing hearing the LFA in FM8... Like, even Need for Speed Shift 2, Rivals and Most Wanted 2012 have better sound lol
@@TNumbersunimaginable cause back then it was the opposite, gt sounded horrible and fm sounded great..
and whats even better, is the sound was recorded from different parts of the car, the sound from the front of the car is different then behind the car or in the car like in real life, its nuts, like the exhaust is louder in the chase camera, but the engine noise in a race car is louder in the cockpit on mid engine cars, and even the tones r different... on top of each exaust type (stock sports race) change the type of exhaust and change the sound of the car!
I got my younger brother a steering wheel and GT7 this Christmas. It has created so many great memories. It's been so fun learning how to play this game with him.
Only thing saving turn10 as a company is that gt isn’t on Xbox
Brilliantly presented. Loved the editing of you just popping up in random places and inside the cars. It was perfect quality, and you said everything with no bias. Subscribed, keep up the good work.
Thanks for the sub, I really appreciate the support! Hope you keep enjoying :D
never seen your channel before, but really love your style of editing and how you talk though it all of it defiantly going to keep watching your stuff keep it up 🙏🙏
Thanks for the support, I really appreciate it! I've got a new vid up today, hope you enjoy :D
Now stick your head in a psvr2 and really experiance the game.
x 1000%
Yep you haven't played GT7 until you've used psvr2.
Exactly 💯
The overwhelming consensus in the comments section is that I need to try this game in VR :D will do
Love how people always say the damage modeling for cars are poor and/or unrealistic.
The biggest thing for me regarding Forza is the false marketing. That really ruined it. The visuals in the official gameplay demo was amazing and then we got Watch Dogs'd
Thanks for the support on the vid, I really appreciate it :D
Couldn't agree more, going around the Maple Valley track in the game vs that first gameplay reveal is pretty shocking
@@wimpwilson Anytime, brother! You make great videos especially for your channel-size! :)
And yeah it really is, constant reminder of "what could've been" oof
Please dont remind me with the watch dogs, its so damn painful seeing the beautiful lightning gone 😭
@@Payday5 I'm sorry, bro 🤣
The VR in GT7 is so amazing that I've had the VR for a year and never played without the VR since I got it. I can't imagine playing on the flat boring screen again after experiencing VR. I think any racing game that doesn't have VR is not even worth looking at.
GT7 has its own issues…. But forza how’s how easy it is to fuck up this type of game
Now try it in VR2 with a wheel.
Glad u like GT7 now.. I started with GT with a the pirated japanese version on the PS1 gravitated to Forza until they dropped the ball and now I'm just totally amazed how GTA7 has come back with a passion. Great Vid!
Thanks for the support on the vid, I really appreciate it :D I haven't played much of the early GTs but after playing 7 and all the good stuff people are saying about 1-4 I'm curious to go back
i play gt7 on a sim wheel and holy shit is it therapeutic to just drive around in multiplayer
The funny thing is that people who are gt veterans think there isn't all that much to do in the game compared to the older games...
its because restarting the game is impossible as its all server saved, and the championships u have are car restricted way more then the old gt games, on top of making upgrading cars during the campaign pointless as they just give u the cars needed for the challenges
i really want a campaign that is repeatable, where u start with base car and money that separate from ur main wallet and is used to upgrade that 1 car as u go like older racing games like top gear rally 2 did and i cant find anything like it
Yes, in GT7 i feel the effort (love) put into it. Who else doesnt play the game but just admire a car driving in landscapes?
Unironically, please do actually do a retrospective on NFS Shift & Shift 2 lol, I was playing them both the other month and ngl they've got some redeeming elements, at least the first one certainly does imo
It's in the pipeline...I remember really enjoying the first Shift, it got a bit unfairly smashed for trying something different at the time. Need to knock out a couple of other projects and that will be coming in the not too distant future. Thanks for watching!
The menu UI is nice but I doesn't fit with the GT atmosphere. It feels out of place to me.
Now i really need GT7 in PC; im frustadted every time i play FM.
GT7 is literal ART, Forza is a game with teething problems.
Not even in the same universe
Driveclub was like the Batman: Arkham Knight of racing games when it came to graphics.
100%
If you want to play GT7 online, you will have a more organized, organic and competitive experience going into Sport Mode and jumping into a daily race.
Yeah I've definitely figured out the online end of things since making the vid, much smoother than my initial experience
Gran turismo sport mode cant be beaten
GT7 is not perfect, but as a car enthusiast it's one of the best driving game of all time IMO.
There are some things that I wish Gran Turismo 7 had and there are some things that bug me about it but overall it is a fantastic game. The graphics are so much better than the latest Forza. Also, as people have said already, GT7 really shows how passionate PD are about cars.
Beeing competitive in multiplayer is really easy. On the left side you chose bop/notuning and than you go in a gr3 or gr4 lobby
This is the best fucking review I've seen hahahahahaha
What a laugh :)
Thanks for the support! Glad you enjoyed :D
2:09 I have another ‘S’ word you could apply to Forza 2023: Soulless
I love gt7 the singleplayer isn't great but I don't care too much about it. Definitely not a bad game
The ai is at least as bad in fm, and yes the single player is bad in both but sucks even more in forza
Gym certainly has problems, multiplayer is quite bad. Hard to find a fair and good race quickly
XD
The online requirement well both do that.
Which Forza Motorsport 8 really doesn't and GT7 annoyed me yeah nah.
great vid. I'm so happy i bought a ps5 just for gt7.
I have every GT game and every forza game, and GT7 has improved in the two year's of updates, so I'll give FM a chance to improve before I properly rate them against each other, but as an automotive sandbox and some quick easy to access fun, Forza horizon spanks the pair of them.🤔
If you just want to jump into a multiplayer race and not worry about setups, you should play the sport mode instead of lobbies.
gt lobby is NOT all online races or MAIN online races for sure :D If you wouldv found the daily races, which basically sets you in automatically unless its race C, so no messing up with a simple thing as tyres :D
A massive difference since release
Yeah I've definitely seen a lot of people saying this - I didn't play GT at launch so I guess I got lucky with it to experience it with all the post release content straight away. Here's hoping one if not both these series can get all the way back to their glory days quality
Everything is relative. Unfortunately, GT7 makes Forza look like a port from PS3.
Pls say you found Sport mode, lobbies is not the online place to be 😬. Again, you need to unlock it and it's in the top right hand side.
I did eventually yes 😂 needless to say the multiplayer part of this vid is not my best moment 😆
VR in GT7 is arguably the best consumer VR experience you can get 👀.
Yeah I've heard this a lot, I need to check out the VR for sure
If we all played any forza game but Motorsport 8 they'd actually listen
Currently GT7 in VR has no equal
@@jordanjoestar8839 I would almost say Assetto Corsa, but even that game does not have the amount of details or cars that GT7 has, in VR.
Could not agree more friend.
Hey! NFS Shift 2 still holds up.
Totally agree, I love the Shift games
"That's just a fucking car"
Youve actually touched on something ive said about GT vs Forza for years, Forza tries to be Michael bay flashy hyper-realistic, GT is just boring old realism.
Play it with a wheel and psvr2 and it'll blow your kangaroo punchin mind.
I concur.
Yup the consensus seems to be I need to try the VR :D
Don’t get me wrong Forza is now a state compared to motorsport 3 and 4 but personally I didn’t really like GT7 in single player either. It looks very good and the career layout etc is nice but the AI just feel like obstacles on the road you have to pass rather than cars you have to race against plus they very rarely race against each other. No qualifying in single player, just start at the back all the time too. Most of the time where they line up on the grid is where they finish in race. GT7 multiplayer on the other hand👌🏻ACC best for me now
Regardless of anyones opinion for me personally its the best racing game ive played and ive played a lot of racing games
I was hoping you were going to let people know that GT7 was built for both PS4 and PS5. Forza was suppose to be "built for the ground up" for Series X. It's sad as well when the open world counterpart to Forza has better tessellation on their cars than FM 23. But hey, they got GOTY haha.
Gt7 is a polished game, forza feels like it's still in beta
Forza 3 and 4 were amazing, don’t know what happened since then. New team, new management?
Modern profit gaming is what happened
Definitely where the series peaked in terms of passion. Not sure what happened over the last 6 years of development but I'm sure it wasn't smooth sailing based on the game we got
@@wimpwilson From the interviews and videos it seems the offices have changed. I wouldnt be surprised if Forza Horizon team is the old motorsport team.
yup from what others are saying above it sounds like there has been constant turnover (at Turn10 :D) while the GT team has remained far more stable
Forza does not do better collisions. Anytime i get hit, I'm stuck to the car that has hit me
Vr2 every day ,awesome livery ,helmet and suit editor ,brilliant camera special effects and scapes, the best car detail out of any car game, brilliant physics id say gt7 blows forza off the track.Forza is not built from the ground up because most track and cars a copied and pasted from the last game.
If you were to sit down and talk to Kazunori Yamauchi or Chris Esaki I think your takeaway would be... (fill in the blank)
It is an absolute shame that you dont have more subs.
Tell everyone who will listen :D Thanks for the support, it means a lot
Try this game in VR with a wheel bro it'll blow your mind Forza what
the fact that for my whole life I've been a PC gamer and haven't had a SINGLE thought of buying a console, and now I am sitting there waiting for my PS5 to be delivered to play GT7 speaks volumes.
I was really waiting for FM8, but have been completely disappointed with it. Can't say that it is terrible, but man... it just doesn't feel right.
Yup FM8 was a major disappointment for me - see my video on it 😂 love gt7
And you never tried the psvr2 version, that will blow your mind! No racing game will ever be good on a flat screen ever again as far as I'm concerned.
Yeah people keep saying I need to try the VR, I'll have to check it out :D
Yea and the music rally that f’ing Hungarian one is pissing me off!!!
Yup the timing on some of them is super tight!
I'm actually shocked how bad FM is I actualy can't stand handling in this game let alone unlock system . Gt7 is far far better game
And the icing on the cake VR in gt 7 is epic 👌🏻 😎 🙌 👍
I've not experienced it yet but I keep hearing good things, I'll need to check it out
Actually your a tiny bit wrong about the collision physics.
GT7 is fairly bad with the awful career and economy
But it’s like a blessing when you compare it to forza motorsport…
I just moved from controller to wheel (t300rs gt) and I must say after playing other racing games , gt7 feels the best on wheel.
Yeah I'm yet to try it with a wheel but lots of recommendations to hit it up in VR with a good wheel
GT is a bit confusing at its start, but I must say, lobbies is not the GT7 multiplayer… keep playing until you unlock the Sport mode, that’s the real deal in GT7
In my opinion ,hell yes. GT7 is very good.
DOES FORZA MAKE GT7 LOOK EVEN BETTER?
Yup, it works both ways :D
least GT7 game career almost uses most car unlike FM
Yeah I really did not like the lack of cars in the FM career mode, they don't even let you use the cover vehicle. GT pushes you into uses tons of different vehicles, which is great
@@wimpwilsonforza update 4 i lose hope since Rio And Alpus Removed for recycled Daytona
Yeah I really wish they would introduce some more city tracks like Rio or scenic ones like the alps
i loved the forza video u made, this one is just as good
Thanks for the support, I really appreciate it! Glad you are enjoying the vids :D
Can’t wait for the Sonic Unleashed x GT7 DLC. Hope your well man, stick to the Z tier titles in future thank you 🙏
Thanks buddy, I'm thinking a Grand Theft Auto V and Knack 2 crossover vid would be the go next
I heard a lot of talk about forza. Nobody touching GT7
very well made video
Thanks for the support on the vid! I really appreciate it :D
I star to believe that T10 studios have someone trying to ruin Forza Motorsport. I've played them all and Gran Turismo also less the 7 but OMG Forza needs a long way to get good. They can fix up the game actually but it will take a year
Yup really hoping Forza can get it back together, would love to see a Forza 3-4 level quality product with updated visuals
Yup here's hoping
I do hate how GT7 has the worst singleplayer events / career out of all the other gt games (no, gt sport doesn't exist to me)
I'd go with Driver San Francisco 😂
Love Driver SF, awesome game :D
Damn I'd forgotten all about that game now I want it on psvr2.
Swapping between the vehicles in Driver San Francisco in VR would be nuts :D
I agree with you 💯
great vid, are you buying views or organic? seems you gotta spend money to get money.
all organic free range views here friend
@@wimpwilson good work.
Disappointed Forza player here. Yes, yes it does.
Gt4 makes forza look bad
