My grandmother told of coming over the Oregon Trail and the story of the Blue Bucket. Our family settled in Malheur area by taking this wagon train. Harper, Vale, John Day, Baker(City), Pendleton. With a wagon train that big and this much time I doubt anything will come of it. If it does, then congratulations. I find any excuse to roam around my home area is a good reason. I'll always be eastern Oregon inside.
Thanks for the share, howdy from Jackson County Oregon near Jacksonville and the Gold Hill mining district ... love the stories. Take care, stay safe, cool and free. ⛏⚒⛏ Edit; in Oregon it is pronounced Wil-lam-it Valley and the Dall's, not Dallas like in Texas. 😉
One minutes into video she finds yellow rocks, that means this mine is in water. The creek is the mine. Gold nuggets are formed by water. 😎 and we continue… also since a wagon is associated with this mine, wagons need trails to be driven down. That means there is a wagon trail hugging this creek
Known this for years. The Spanish mined the Gold by Silver Springs area. 1699 to 1702 and the Indians rebelled against Spanish and killed them in a running battle, finished them off somewhere in Malheur Lake area? This was 1702. This is when the Indians first really got ahold of Horses for the First time. This spot still has a pipe coming out of the ground from the Spanish milling process. This pipe coming out of the ground was found by the U.S. Military and documented in the Military expedition around 1859? When those Indians killed the Spanish Invaders at (Land of Dividing Waters) where Oregons High Desert drains into the valley below of huge mountains. Remember The Indians never cared about the Gold and when they destroyed the Spanish Garrison and smelting plant and cinnabar equipment everything including all different types of Gold was left there out in the open for 150 years till the wagon train finally stumbled around. The guy who wrote a comment that he is mining part of it is correct. It was easy to find! It was never lost? Good story though. A farmer down there showed a Treasure writer and author something he found and used as water through. When the author told the farmer it was used for metal casting from the Spaniards (Casting Ignots) the farmer paid the author cash to keep it out of the authors book? I wont tell you the authors name though. So the author wrote about this and I bought his book back in the 70's. So much for buying a book that actually leaves out very important information. Just like todays fake news! Don't believe but only about 5 percent of what you hear and read or watch on TV. If I see a glowing orange ball rising up out of the swamp I think Oil. If I see a white round balls that is pure white that rises in the air and eventually evaporates? I think Pentane Gas. It's a shame how people are lied to about everything. They want us dumbed down. If you like being dumbed down keep voting Democrat?:
5:26 did anyone notice something at this particular point? Because I'm sleeping in the guest bedroom of my best friend which is in the basement and it's very dark down here and I about screamed. LoL
Great stories for sure and well told. Would be a good idea though if you make a phone call to some of these areas to get the correct pronunciations as there are many grossly mispronounced names in all these videos.
I have 3 generations of ancestors who were on that wagon train, And my grandfather and great grandmother use to tell this story. My great grandmother was the daughter of the youngest of 3 generations who came on the wagon train. They were the Lloyd family. Also many of the pronunciations of the locations were wrong. The wagon train also split into 2 groups, just for historical information.
The timbers were visual when I was there .The grounds keeper of one of the rest areas worked there years ago he said he went all thru the Chinese tunnels in the past ⛏️🤔
@casedoumasr656 would that be on the north end of the claim? I think something happened here, and they buried them. no one that's here has been here longer than 4 years. I would love to know what this place looked like 40 years ago. Let alone 12 years ago.
Go to the weatherby rest area talk to the maintenance guy he lives 4 miles from there up in the hills in a 1860 cabin he knows all about the mine claim at Blue mine .The tunnels were in bad shape 12 years a go and they took the backhoe to make sure no one could get in from what I was told over 12 or more years ago I could see the timbers then and a small opening as well
The geographic info you gave is 100% incorrect. Malheur River/ Basin is nowhere near Crane Prairie, which is nowhere near Christmas Valley....the way you describe it the traveled south, then north, then east, then south, then north, then south west, then north east, then finally west......I know you said they were lost but this would add at least 1500 miles to the trip.
One minutes into video she finds yellow rocks, that means this mine is in water. The creek is the mine. Gold nuggets are formed by water. 😎 and we continue…
The blue bucket mine was named after the miners having so much loneliness they would mine each others rear ends until their rears were as blue 💙 as smurfs
Mispronunciations of place names show the narrator is either AI or not interested in the subject enough to learn the names like Willamette (Will am et we say)
Good story would have been better if you could put some work into your show and learn how to pronounce name properly. We got to Willamette, then The Dallas and you totally shit the bed on them congrats.
Thank you for such great stories. I always enjoy.
Thank you for sharing this story with us! ✌🏼😊
These are great short stories. Hopefully some will reach 45 minutes. I enjoy Storytelling.
Appreciate these uploads.

Damn she must've been at the very least 200 YEARS OLD!!!? 😂

😒 are you some kind of wizard alchemist? 🤪 How long have you been making "gold nuggets formed by water"? Is that you Jesus? 😂
No kiddin.
Blue bucket is simple. I prospect the state and have a channel doing it. The gold comes from the ancient gravel above the burnt river.
This lost mine has been discovered and is currently being worked on. This is located in the Maury Mountains precisely 45 miles due East of Bend, OR.

Nice to hear have you been in the Chinese tunnels on the claim the gravels there are like ROCK was there on a 3 day pass about 12 years ago ⛏️🇺🇸
@casedoumasr656 everyone talks about them but no one knows where they actually are.

good video! you mispronounced willamette and the dalles in case you ever travel here
It is pronounced Wil lamb it.
You are missing a bunch of info. I live directly on the missing section of the Meeks trail. I have some artifacts backing up the missing info
The location was found and all gold removed.

yea and didnt mention that meek abandon the train when they threat to kill him because he did know where they where
I mean... it's all kinda the same out there... just like the people that live out there
❤❤❤❤
The commentator could have at least checked the pronunciation for the Oregon landmarks….Willamette and Dalles for example.
One minutes into video she finds yellow rocks, that means this mine is in water. The creek is the mine. Gold nuggets are formed by water. 😎 and we continue…
Almost perfect a i
It’s not a mine, it’s a prospect.
Load ore vs alluvial vs placer? Most don't understand the process of erosion. Or that prospectin is how studying geology originated.

Like your stories back I 1978 had 3 boxes of lost treasure magazines I put up in my attic now I have a treasure as well ⛏️🤔🇺🇸
@@casedoumasr656 how did u find it?
You can’t say any Oregon name correctly.
