ESR did have some really cool stuff so I bought the shift stand and the floating keyboard. Unfortunately they didn’t have the foresight ti make the magnetic case work with both products… so if you’re buying both to move your iPad back and forth, don’t bother. You would have to completely change to a new case in your ipad

Warning
The ESR magnetic case will damage your new iPad Pro 13 inch, I purchased this and after a couple of days of being placed inside the magnetic case I noticed the iPad had started to make a very low sounding buzz not really noticeable unless your in a quiet room, the buzz will only sound when you swipe across your screen with a finger or if you touch the screen with the Apple Pencil, as the pencil gets close to the screen the buzz can start to be heard and gets worst has it touches the screen. At first I did not realise it was the case causing the problem, I took the iPad out the case and took it back to my local Apple Store where Apple ran tests on it but could not find what was causing the sound. As the iPad was less than 14 days old Apple replaced the iPad for me, when I got the replacement iPad back home i set the new ipad up and all was good, after about 4 hours the buzzing sound that I heard on the first ipad started up on this one, I took it out the case and all was fine, I then moved the case back and forth touching the ipad and as I did so the noise came and went. Need to say the case was returned and I think as the new ipad had only been in the case for a few hours it is not permanently damaged unlike the first one I bought which continually made the noise even with the case off. I can only assume the magnets are so strong they must pull on something inside causing permanent damage if left unchecked. It is a shame because the keyboard is fantastic it’s just that magnetic case causing the issue.
These videos take the guesswork out of trying to find a solid solution. Good looking out.

Great video Jud. Does the rolling edge pro create pressure on the MacBook screen when it attaches to the iPad via the magnetic mount? I know MacBooks are carefully balanced when it comes to pressure applied to the lid. Hence why some MacBook cases causes MacBook lids to become looser over time.
Have you found any uneven pressure that’s applied to the MacBook when using the magnetic iPad holder? Thanks 🙏🏼

Not sure why ESR use bluetooth instead of the smart connector for the keyboard. I mean if logitech can use the smart connector, i don’t see why ESR can’t. I’m guessing it’s just a license thing. I would have been perfect case if it uses the smart connector instead.

I think you could just tape the rolling edge pro to a case, and then put a case on the iPad whenever it's needed. Right?

I’ll stick with my magic keyboard, which has function keys and has a usb c pass-through charging port so that it charges the keyboard and the iPad through the keyboard. The ESR does not, and that is a dealbreaker for me because I’m not worried about my Apple Pencil popping off of its charger plus the idea of the iPad Pro M4 is that it takes advantage of being slimmer, while the ESR makes everything twice as heavy and twice as bulky if not, three times as much I’m glad you gave the review, but you left out the part about how to keyboard does not charge the iPad itself and how you have to charge them both individually and separately. That is a definite dealbreaker for me.
Perfect. No fault if yours but it would have been great to know all this the first week the new iPad Pro was out. Apple didn’t even have the new case available until the second week and also failed to mention that the last Magic Keyboard wouldn’t work with the new iPad. Early adopters always seem to be blacked out on accessories early on.
I bought that U Green adjustable stand. It's legit & very sturdy considering the price.
this ipad has a great screen, but does it affect your eyes? what is your experience with it? i'm going to buy one for myself, but i'm a little worried about the PWM
I bought the ESR 360. Wow, that's a heavy piece of kit. I bought their screen protectors too. A pain in the rear to fit even with the kit. But they are good and make the drawing experience feel more natural. I like those magnetic holders but have a Spigen case on my MBP so that wouldn't work without a lot of faff. And I may invest in a pencil grip as the Pencil Pro is a bit slippery. Thanks for your vid.

Thanks so much for this video. I love everything about your setup. For the Logitech mouse, I didn’t see how you had it connected to the iPad. I saw that the mouse comes with a USB receiver, which means you’d have to have an adapter? Curious about how that all worked.

I got that screen protector which is great! And it comes with two, so I’m ready for when I need to replace it. BUT I got the ESR keyboard case and I returned it. It’s so heavy.
For the color wear custom, doesn’t alteration from the original products void any apple warranty and ability to add apple care? Or did Apple do away with that?

Don’t regret it, Apple is well-established to make high quality and long-lasting products. I got a case from ESR and it was super flimsy with weak magnets. (I’m getting rid of it).

iPad can be more affordable if you don’t get the pro and you can take notes with the Apple Pencil an have more features with an iPad.
@bradentippit9691 iPad is just an accessory or a tool. Unless they open up the unix side, it will never replace a laptop, which means you will still need to purchase a laptop
It all depends on the individual’s computing needs. “Turn an iPad into a laptop” just means “add mouse and keyboard support” for some. If you need/want a touch screen, iOS, the best display, and keyboard/trackpad, M4 iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard is the best way to go.
