I always thought the AK-47 looked like a giant pencil...
My mom loved this game and beat it within a few days when I was a teen. I remember I'd get so annoyed because I'd invite my guy friends over and rather than chill with me they'd want to challenge my mom in the multiplayer mode. My mom was unbeatable and despite being a 47 year old woman with zero prior experience with video games at the time she was great at Goldeneye and would beat a bunch of 15 year old boys lol. As a result she got really into video games and bought a bunch of different consoles over the years. However none have compared to the fun and hours we'd spend on Goldeneye during my high school years. Another favorite was Turok 2 seeds of evil
When we are old and decrepit, the futures retirement homes will have Goldeneye multiplayer parties.
"there aren't that many weapons" there are literally more weapons in this game than any (at the time). lol
This game owes me the years 1997-2000 of my life back...
SOLID FACT: PAUSE THE GAME, ITS AMAZING.
"There aren't a huge line-up of weapons" ?? What?? GoldenEye has the most weapons I've ever seen in a game!
When rare was GOLD
Its still one of my favorites I still play it in 2019
I remember going to a friend's house and playing this... and going home and telling my roommate "Dude. We have to get an N64. This James Bond game is amazing!!"
I strangely remember loving when the game would slow down... it felt epic lol, usually happening amid many explosions while fighting a large group. It was kind of like getting to watch it in slow motion :D
007 and Perfect Dark were so fun man. Good times looking back!
"Never Die Twice." It's You Only Live Twice mode. Come on, it is literally named after a Bond movie. All the multiplayer modes save for Normal are. You Only Live Twice, The Living Daylights, The Man with the Golden Gun, and Licence to Kill.
This game's a ton of fun. The way it aged makes it even more fun. Also, it's oddly satisfying to play with the original N64 controller.

That pp7 sound effect, it's like music to my ears!
="DK Mode" Meant Donkey Kong mode, hence the long arms and bigger heads.
Me and three of my old school mates still to this day occasionally hook up for a blast on goldeneye or perfect dark, Nearly 20 years still going strong, Absolute classic game one of the best.
One of the best N64 games
