some people will always have darker eyes, no matter how healthy they are. It's usually due to thinner skin near the eyes combined with lighter skin tone.
In photoshop the best way to create flawless skin is changing the different colors to one even tone(dodge & burn is a classic example), texture is so important (unless it’s something out of the ordinary like a scar that they want removed). Without texture the skin looks fake and uncanny. It’s easy to just smooth everything, good photoshop is about the details & can take hours-days
as a painter it's kind of ridiculous to me how a lot of people wish their skin had no texture, like not even pores or the tiny natural lines even newborns have! to me texture is the most beautiful thing about it, even "imperfections" like eyebags, dark circles, scars, spots, wrinkles, creases, etc. i love drawing those!
@@kai_fatallysapphic No texture looks so artificial and uncanny. Things being too perfect is creepy, like a hospital scrubbed clean and painted blinding white.
@@B-Meisterone very thin layer of blended out concealer is all I wear, and it’s not even noticeable. If a man wore it nobody would see it either as long as it is done right. Just a dot under the eyes.

Define "actually," because 99% of professional workers are using the shortcuts. It's the 1% that are passionate about the creative process who go into this much detail.
First and foremost, this man is awesome! . A super simple generalization of photoshop = Your basically making a bunch of "layers" that create a picture. And each layer needs to be "filtered" (maybe not NEEDS filtering, but usually every layer has some kind of filter/altering). And use Ctrl+ A-Z for your hotkeys. Kind of like millions of pixels making a picture.
Wow this was a very very well made tutorial! I've seen twenty minute long videos that don't do such a good job of explaining how to do something so complex so concisely
To prevent editing the original layer/photo that's why you duplicate it. If you've done something wrong or the software crashes, you can always go back to it and duplicate it again.
@@user-ds5jd5zy2d "Background" is just to name the layer that needs to be at the bottom of the layers for the technique to work. It doesn't matter how you name the layer. But good naming helps when you have a lot of layers in a project.

@@escapetothesky there's like 4 steps lmao. 1. Create high pass layer 2. create clipping mask 3. create new layer in between 4. paint over background image with good skin
Nice method. Another way would be to use the stamp tool set the opacity to 10-20% and change the blend mode on the tool to lighten. Sample from lathe light skin to the dark and same results. If you want to darken it change blend mode to darken and sample from a darker area. The more you know. 🎉
Thanks so much for this video, this will be really helpful in the future. The only thing I’d suggest is making the under eye _slightly_ darker and a tiny touch pinker than the skin on the rest of the face, because the skin there is thinner and softer there. So even the ideal eye will have some slight difference in color. (My background is mainly in illustration and painting, I had to take a lot of human anatomy classes 💀)
Thank you for being so helpful with your tips and tricks and I never thought I would try out photoshop because it’s sounds really confusing. I love that he refers to it as “incredible texture” when people typically hate it. Came for photoshop, was taught self love instead.

Skin care companies: taking notes
Why, they already do this on all the ads… actually now they use face filters
@@RusticRonnie source: trust me bro
If only I could add a layer, desaturate, and add a high pass filter, etc. on my actual under eye circles🤣🤣🤣
Technically you kinda do with Makeup like Foundation, Eyeshadow, etc.

Funny thing is my sister's a beautician even xD
This technique works for removing “white” spots also! Like burning, to reduce reflection spots 🎉
getting to this level of comprehension on photoshop seems impossible and hurts my brain
Mine too. Next period I will get photoshop class for 10 hours a week. I hope it won't be like this
It gets easier with time. I promise!
These are some of the most helpful tutorials I've ever seen.
I wish these videos would explain the mechanics, like what is high pass? What is a clipping mask? Etc
It's a short not a full length tutorial
I'm so lucky that you are my Photoshop teacher ❤
Dont use this methode, it destructs skin texture. Use dodge burn + recoloring the area insted.

you could just paint over it the way you normally would and then instead of using a blend mode, make the high pass layer lol
