When you were turning it over backwards When the engine was upside down. I believe you can hear a few snapping sounds.. since I've seen over head cam engines break parts from being turned over backwards. With a over head cam engine it's never a good idea to turn them over the wrong way... maybe I didn't see it correctly but it might be worth looking at the tape and see if you were turning it the wrong way.... good luck.
I have a gen 2 motor on my 67 cougar and just recently i got a permanent code p1299 indicates issues with engines heat. I have already replaced the Cylinder head temperature sensor, thermostat, coolant is topped off. Theres a loss of power but car does not overheat. Any ideas what it could possibly be ?
Mr. Ed? Straight from the horses mouth! 😂Now I'm dating myself. With the water'd plugs and broken to pieces, pieces, tearing it down is the thing to do. Bolt in the balancer, backed off is a good way to use the puller. Memories~🙄 Projects, projects, projects!! Oh, go back with ARP bolts.
😂Yes sir. Thank you for always sharing your knowledge. We finally took it down to the bare block, next week Monday it will be going to the Machine shop for the block to be fully examine, then sleeved if all is good. If all is not good, we just a new block and start the build from there. We will see.
Looking forward to seeing wreckless !!
