A Speculative Look at the First Galactic War | Helldivers 2

- The First Galactic war is a fascinating period of human history that is hardly covered in the game. I have actively gone out of my way to find story cues between the 2 games that indicate what happened, at what times. I feel I have achieved an accurate timeline with what I have had available story-wise. I will not guarantee exact accuracy, as my analysis is entirely reliant on the story and narrative of the ongoing Helldivers 2 timeline.

The Ministry of Truth approves this history lesson.
O’ sacred ministry I request I please get approval to inject the experimental stims directly into my brainstem. I tried doing it with the free-use extra stim I got on liberty day as a gift and it was like I just had a supply drop’s worth of stims all to myself.
Thank you for your consideration.
Please note; I am not a cadet, I know what I’m doing.
@@Esoteric-Sternbergism I will have to pass this to the Ministry of Science but you could become oh I don't know, maybe a unkillable beast of democracy that we could give a sword to.
Ah yes, Ministry of Truth, my nemesis, we meet again
@@TruthKeepersOfficialHD2 Ah Truthkeepers I see that you haven't been defunded as of yet. But we both fight for Super Earth do we not? Then the true nemeses are the enemies of Super Earth.
@@Ministry_of_Truth2184 O’ sacred ministry that is precisely and exactly what I desire as I am one of the individuals that has been requesting the butchers nails but with stims. Thank you sincerely O’ sacred ministry.
On thing I'll add is that Super Earth had been conflicting with the Terminids at least once before the First Galactic War in what were known as the Crustacean Wars. This was done to secure several planets with E-710 reserves which, at the time, Super Earth were unaware that E-710 came from the bugs themselves. This is all mentioned in dialogue with the science officer npc on your ship in the first game.
Damn, I never thought about looking for lore from them. I'd have to check it out next time I log into HD1
When they were first collecting it they were basically robbing graves but didn’t realize and the Bugs were understandably upset
One has to remember that illuminate society wasn’t geared toward war more towards art and science so they didn’t know how to fight.
They didn't know how to fight then.
Who knows what kind of monsters they've become now
That's what *they* want you to think. Any self thinking individual would know that they were ruthless monsters only intending to destroy our beautiful society
For not fighting people they do put a fight so idk if i should belive that
@@Dragonseer666 and where did you get this free thinking information, bud?
The best part is the justification for invading their worlds were planet destroying weapons... Except we never found any, and they were never used against us
See where I'm going?
I love how he reinforces the justification of declaring war on the B'squids
Hmmm cool video idea, I wonder when it will relea- IT RELEASES ON THE 26th?! WHY IS IT GOING TO TAKE SO LON- oh it’s going to release on liberty day, that makes sense.
Where do I go to watch it

I remember Meridia. that was real fun, I sure do hopefully we can do it again
We might have to do it to the planets deep in the gloom.
"you know? destroying a planet was really fun lets destroy another one"
Cyberstan might be like a supercolony like meridia
Genuinely love this channel, especially the vids which show how super earth could’ve used/done other stuff in the war (like the cobalt bomb video)
Still waiting for the What if we had a Republican government and having to make it look bad in comparison to the dictatorship we have instead
The last stripped back horn section gave me goosebumps
It's interesting how you gave each one at least 20-30 years in between each other, though I feel as if it should have been 5-10 years apart, or all at the same time as the first game implies.
I think it's interesting to see super earth fighting on all fronts at the same time, with the "might of humanity" storyline looking more appealing as a result.
Either way this is a quick and fun video! Very informative since I'm a veteran of the first game!
I wish we knew the true story. I know mine has flaws, not perfect. But you cook with what you got, and I had heaps of ambiguity haha. Thank you!
Your channel is such a gem for helldivers community
Perfect video the ministry of truth approves, glory to súper earth and the 1st
Hey Man I have grown to love this channel. I hope you saw my comment on the automaton video you made. These deep analytical essays are produced w great quality and I’m very excited to see this video!! I want more!
@samuelclark5491 I did not, so I went back and found your comment on the Automaton Video. Thank you so much. I have an amazing time producing these, I'm learning so much about editing and Helldivers. I think you'll really enjoy this video once it premiers, I took the quality further than I ever have before. I'm honoured to have you as a viewer and subscriber. Having you, amongst others, join me on this journey is the most meaningful thing I could ask for.
For the 1st Colonials! "FIRST TO DROP, FIRST TO VICTORY!"
happy liberty day helldivers!!
Jesus that small creek bit gave me chills, all i remember was just how much red and crimson there was
I like how you took inspiration from Halo ODST, Commentating like the intro to it.
Another well done project!! Happy Liberty Day!! :)
3:05 no no no no no, you got it all wrong. Super Earth did nothing wrong. THEY attacked us first
3:46 wasnt that they weren't taking it seriously, rather that they legitimately had not really needed to fight before bc of how their society was structured and did not have a proper military
loving these videos man, keep them up!
Can’t wait for liberty day!
@@Airsoft_stopmotions it's officially Liberty Day!
This is what I thought the first galactic war would be smaller wars fought over a long time before a big war in 2084 much more realistic than one big war for 40years, for a species new to interstellar soace
At this point i think we are a clone of the trooper that went through combat tutorial and have our minds imprinted on each clone
Nice!
Though I am pretty sure the Alcubierre Warp Drive at 2:20 does not contract space behind and in front, it contracts it in front and expands it behind. Otherwise you'd just... stay in place. I think that's like the most important and difficult part of getting it to work, because you need negative mass to expand the space. Which as far as we know, doesn't exist. I guess once again, great Super Earth makes the impossible possible. Don't mind me nitpicking tho lol...
SES Father of Family Values reporting for briefing.
I get that this video is speculative but like, it doesn't even acknowledge already established lore from the the first game.
Honestly most tourist divers ignore the first games lore....and it shows...
Ses Aegis Of Peace is in attendance
Happy Liberty Day!
Masterful storytelling i felt a real sense of dread.
There's something clear Super Earth was lying about now. The Illuminate were demilitarized in the past, but now in the second galactic war, Super Earth is saying they were extinct. And now, SE is suddenly so surprised they attacked colonies.
For Super Earth✊️
An amazing video, keep it up!!!
Keep the content coming
I think this is the most realistic and best take

I rly enjoyed this video, I enjoy the slideshow aesthetic you’re going for.
With it being Liberty Day, it is perhaps appropriate that we recount our progress and history.

@@commandergreetv753 Lol. It's a small galaxy, isn't it? I salute you back!
What is our mofit of assaulting a highly advanced alien race so early into the war? Won't high command think that it will take a toll on our expansion and cause immense future hostilities, especially in a timer where e-710 is not discovered and a time were we did not posess what many colonies? I would like to know more of the motifs behind history and the decision making method of high command.
At this rate I can't tell whether this is done on purpose or not, but this serves as both an interesting bit of speculation that may be loosely how we can interpret the events of Helldivers 1, and an in-universe account that is taken a little more seriously than the blatant satire we get in the game, yet still obviously propagandized to no end. This is as 'serious' as this setting can get, and you straddle the line pretty well.
I'd like to add that the unnamed colony at the center of terminid space is likely called Kepler Prime. It served as the 'homeworld' for the Bugs in HD1, only for its particular missions to include securing and relaunching old SE extractors (for what we now know as E710).
Much like Squi'Bui Shrine, Kepler Prime is completely missing from the map of HD2, as it's likely possibly longer habitable. Our galactic map only shows inhabited planets (as evidenced by, say, Choepessa IV being on the map while Choepessa I-III are nowhere to be seen).
didn't you say there was going to be an ad, after cannon warning, (1:31) because I did not get one. (im not using ad blockers)
Haven’t played in like 4 months, will this catch me up to speed?
This is the first galactic war from helldivers 1, not the second which is taking place right now
@@T3rr4T3rr0r :(
@Neo2266. Check out the Galactic War Data Archive, it will catch you up.
Ok, but why is super earth in the centre of the galaxy????
@@geokou7645 I don't think it's actually the center. I think it's only perceptually the center. The Cyborgs and Illuminate had a whole galaxy to still flee into
@ I think they were supposed to flee extra-galactic. Still, if there _was_ the rest of the galaxy left, why is the map circular? Also, why hasn’t the map expanded since HD1? It’s probably just a cosmetic thing the devs didn’t put much thought into but either A: It’s a propagandised version of the map with many distances changed and stuff to make it look like Super-Earth is in the centre or B: Something else is going on and I have no idea what
@@geokou7645its a propagandized map. Similar to how Europe grossly inflated its size in older maps.
@ that’s not how the Mercator projection works
8:30 your mic sounded a bit fuzzy here
I’m sure this was because The Last Diver was starting to play and the audio started to conflict
Good vidoe
dude I was thinking. and its just speculation, maybe could become a theory, but the helldivers ahve that thing on the back of their helmets, maybe, the player is not just the player, but the diver´s conciusness, and thats why they are notafraid to die and will follow our every command, because their conciusness is just going to be integrated with in the next body and continue the mission from where it left and hold teh same positons it was holding before the previuss body died.
Idk, maybe, it doesnt make too much sense to me, but It was a tought i had, I have no evidence its just my mind working on fun things.
or the thing is just used to merge its memoys into the next helldivers body...idkm but seem fun.."fun" stil

@@jacksentertainmentsystem3190 the 1st Colonial Regiment manifest ✨️
i assume it's just the microphone quality, but it sounds like an artificially generated voice and not a real person. If it is a real person then I'm sorry, but if it isn't, please put it in the description of the video. I'm sure people will understand.
You actually stand correct. This is Artificially enhanced audio. I record audio with my voice, and run it through ElevenLabs. The reasons I do this are because: I pay for a premium subscription to Eleven labs and have reason to use it. I have no interest in the 1st Colonial Regiment becoming a cult of personality, I'm comfortable drawing a line between the YT Creator, and YT Narrator. Although, I totally understand where you are coming from, and I will do it. I still have lots of learning to do.
@@1stColonialRegiment Alright, thank you alot for clarifying.
Reason I mentioned that is because; 1) AI can hurt the careers of creators which are getting their creative niches taken over by AI (art, music, writing, etc), and 2) I think it should be regulated so that you have to specify if it's AI generated or not, since people can use it for disinformation or harmful content. You don't do much harm in those points as far as I know, I just thought it would be a good idea to set some precedent for it.
Your voice sounds kinda scuffed in this video, like a robot.
Pretty sure its already confirmed that first contact with terminids was peaceful
Why does it sounds like an AI is voicing this? The pauses are so unnatural.
Sorry but in 2060 The Terminids did not exist. Those were BUGS. Just bugs. Terminids are their descendants
Yes. Manufactured in order to produce as much E-710
I kind of feel bad because they were a fascinating species, probably as intelligent as apes, and now arguably turned into mutated monsters beyond recovery of their original biology and intelligence
ODST soundtrack goes hard.
You know whenever I see a video that’s exactly 10 min, I get disappointed since you are bloating the video just enough to reach that mark when it could’ve been easily shorter
Is this an AI voice? It sounds like it.
Sounds like nonsense
Very funny, now face the wall.
