Bonus tip: If you hit reload immediately after shooting the second to last shot in the mag, the mag drops and replaces itself all while you're cycling the bolt, making the reload all happen while you'd be cycling the bolt anyway. When you get into the rhythm of reloading after every fifth shot, you can get an almost uninterrupted stream of fire

How to be an Assistant Gunner. Most of the time, backpack fed support weapons are often left to be serviced to by the person who brought it. To ensure both operators have the maximum possible firepower, bring support weapon that doesn't use a backpack. Good options include the MG's, as well as the Grenade Launcher and Railgun. Then, simply ask for them to drop you a support weapon, most operators are more than happy to have an Assistant gunner, as they double their reserve capacity and significantly cut down on reload time. Obviously, you should want to be around the main operator, but that doesn't mean being superglued to them. Mainly, you should be within at least 50 meters.
A friend and I tend to run a wombo combo of Spear or RR, he takes the backpack, calls in a Supply Backpack and his Railgun. Then when the Ammo Backpack runs dry, I just turn around, give him a tap from the supply bag, and it's back to rock and roll. We've used this to splash 6 dropships on a VIP extraction before they even managed to deploy their guys.

I think the Eagle 110MM Rocket Pods could use a PSA. They choose their target in a radius around the beam when the stratagem is thrown, and do not target enemies that enter the zone later. Basically, you must throw the stratagem where enemies are, not where they will be when the rockets land (as you do with every other stratagem). It will get the target and track it even if the target goes really far away.

how about a Major tactics on thermite usage against bots ? it's extremly versitile at clearing objectives aswell as enemies of liber-tea. Hulks die from 1 anywhere on their body, tanks die with 1, turrets, fabricators etc all die with 1 aswell. also it's great for blocking of areas aswell. a good warning would also be to consider distance to a foe when using it so that you or your fellow helldivers won't get a socialist hug by a melee unit and die to your thermite
Oh, I like this! More people need to know about the power of the thermite after the Ministry of Defense swapped out the firecrackers and sparklers they were stuffing into the grenades to cut costs!
Tips for anyone using the disruptor, it pairs great with a support mg of your choice, and while firing the mg, switch to the disruptor to lob a round out then quickly switch back to the mg. This allows you to have a near uninterrupted stream of fire with the addition of the disruptor’s explosive payload - without having to cycle the rounds individually.
To add a few similar bonus tips: - I also try to reload with 1 bullet in the chamber on other weapons since i can count the 14 to 15 Jar-5 bullets fairly easily even under pressure although eyeballing the ammo indicator(idk, maybe the indicator represents the Helldiver feeling how many shots are left by the weight of the gun?) helps reduce the mental load. Doing this successfully saves you 1.2 seconds without throwing away any of your punchy gyrojet bullets. - Diligence Counter Sniper is same as the Jar-5 reload counting as the magazine has the same number of cartridges. Just without the gyrojet bullets. Saves you 1.1 seconds. - Same applies with the Liberator carbine in the few times i use it since its high RoF makes a 3-shot burst more like 1 big bullet or 1 shotshell that's more easily countable so i also just need to count to 14-15 bursts before reloading it. 15*3=45 vs. 45+1 carbine ammo capacity. This lets you reload even faster by shaving off 0.9 seconds off an already snappy reload speed. - The normal breaker shotgun can also benefit from this since reloading with 1 shot left in the chamber saves you 0.7 seconds and the 16 shot magazine is reasonably countable. - etc. etc. This isn't as good with weapons that have larger magazines that don't divide by 3(ex: Tenderizer, Reprimand) or weapons that can divide by 3 but lack a burst-mode setting(Adjudicator) but the same principle applies. Summary: You can definitely count the bullets on weapons with 20 shots or less and reload when you have exactly 1 bullet left in the chamber to shave roughly a second off your reload speed without throwing away any precious high-impact ballistics. But this can be extended to magazines larger than 20 that are divisible by 3-bursts like the Liberator Carbine and Liberator AP. Trivia: The crossbow is a quirky exception since its reload speed and animation doesn't change with 1 arrow left in the "chamber" unlike the other bullet-based weapons. But you can still get it to load 5+1 shots this way. Extra trivia: the Jar-5 and Eruptor Gyrojet bullets due to how they are propelled have a 0% drag stat in their stats representing the gyrojet propelling them. So those bullets only have to worry about gravity while other bullets worry about both gravity and air drag.
You don't even have to have the weapon out when you're cycling the bolt, so you can fire an Eruptor shot, switch to a senator or stalwart, spray down a few bullets, then back to the Eruptor for another shot. Basically weapon-swapping from Doom Eternal lmao

Risking execution to tell you this so listen up, manually cycling the bolt is a LIE. If you fire your second to last round then IMMEDIATELY hit reload you will load a new mag while SIMULTANEOUSLY HAVING THE LAST ROUND CYCLED INTO THE CHAMBER SAVING GIVING YOU THE FASTEST RELOAD POSSIBLE.
