Great to see a new video from you! I love the idea of adding some red contrasting stems at the back
So Great to see you posting again! Looking forward to more
I like the idea of adding stem plants, thank you from NYC
Whoop finally! 😎
I see a familiar face here 😏
Welcome back! Glad I got to see this tank in person 👌🏼
Next big update to follow soon
Drift wood all the way!! Nice seeing you doing videos again.
Finally another upload
Jurijs, I know you've got the itch to add ancient juniper wood to this scape! I think it will look really cool, plus adding some some colored stem plants would spice things up, go wild, use different leaf shape, sizes and structures.
I like the idea of adding new Dennerle Cryptocoryne Flamingo in the midground as well as Vallisneria type plants in the background in this layout or even break the symmetry by adding Cardamine Lyrata plant just behind the main rock
Whatever you choose I'll still love it!
Great to see you back on You Tube Juris !!! Hope everything is positive for you & your scape has changed my overall opinion on starting my 1st Iwagumi . I know enough to expect hours of maintenance but seeing your technique & scissor work on that carpet has me ready to tear down my largest aquarium...now this is why I am staying single so I can spend & spend and , maybe I should tear down my smallest aquarium ? Lol , Thanks Juris for a video well worth the wait . Hit that like and share the videos people !!☯️
Please don’t stay single because of aquascaping, I’m sure you can find a significant other that will support you hobby 😉
Hulk Amano Shrimp. 🤣🤣
Good to see a new video from you. 😊
I think you'll go for stem plants....or maybe just say 'what the heck' and do both! 😁
finaly a video:)
hi i'm your fan. I'm from Indonesia
hello I'm from Indonesia🇮🇩, very lucky to meet you, even though we are from different countries🌏. your video work is very beautiful, I always see it from every message that comes in, I really appreciate your work, hopefully we can meet again in the latest video,❤😍🤗
adding rotalas would give a nice kick🤘🏼🤘🏼
The First one!🤗!!
A wall of stem plants would look nice in the background
Some long trailing plants in the background would look great. Maybe crypt balansae
For the background I would do nothing but maybe a back light. If you put stem plants in the back it would throw the illusion off of the mountain. I would have them on each side in the front. Great scape 😁👍
Glossostigma getting tall and leggy means u need more light. I doubled my lighting and plants that are meant to be a bit of a stem plant (forgot what it was) started “crawling”!!! The glosso was also growing really low n started to carpet the foreground the way I wanted it.
add tape grass to the background. and see it dancing to the flow of water.
Magic!
Great idea 💡
Stem plants , I added some to my wagumi. Red gives it splash.
Just a friendly suggestion: You sir, need a sump tank.
I love and adore seeing automation in a tank, but the issue is it comes with clutter.
An overflow box is easily drilled and would solve your surface skimming issues. A "Herbie" configuration is quiet, when tuned correctly. And most high-end DC return pumps can be adjusted to a point where surface agitation is minimal, reducing CO2 off-gassing. Then you have a place for not only for your filtration (which is far larger than a canister), but a place for all the probes, dosing lines, and any heaters.
Jungle stile!!!!
😊👍
YO, I love ur iwagumi!!! Can anyone link the build video, because I cannot find it. Also, random question, what is your favorite plant?
Add tall hair grass in the back...
This
Yes, go for Brasilien style 🇧🇷😁
Option 2 :)
The option 2, use colourful stem plants!!
The tank looks nice, but you needed way more height on the substrate and rocks in one section to be more imposing.
Old light? May be not as powerful as it was brand new? Is the light lens clean and not blocking any light...measure the PAR
Does the tropica substrate leach out colour
Hi Jurijs, thx for the content! I want to ask you before i want to copy this carpet, is this trimming 1/2 weekly/every 3 days?? Is it a lot of work?
Thx!
In my case trimming was every 2 weeks at first. Later on it has slowed down, so I only had to trim every few weeks
Hello Very good installation! I would like to ask you what water parameters you maintain and with what brand of fertilizer! Thanks a lot.
I try to keep TDS 125-150 and a GH of 5, the PH is set to 6.5 or similar to achieve 30mg/l CO2 and I’m using JBL aquadur RO minerals atm as well as 2Hr Aquarist fertilizer (testing)
Have you used a par meter to check the light at the glosso? You said the light was a few years old. Just a thought.
I didn’t
Ok i'm coming from the future. I know what you'll do to this tank. You will add some drift wood to it and keep the rock layout the same way. You add eleocharis mini in foreground and you'll add helanthium tenellum in the back. Your eleocharis will struggle a bit but eventually starts growing when you switch to stronger lights.
I would say red stems and nymphea lotus, no wood.
For the glossostigma I guess CO2, trying to reach surface to get it. Or age, trying to reach surface to flower, not sure for glossostigma but happens with other aquatic plants.
I know that this is an older video and I might be adding this point to late but you should try to move the C02 lower to the surface.
I really like those scisors! where can i get them?
You can get similar ones from ADA, the one I use are prototypes of my own brand
Red stem plants for me.
Not enough light twinstar lights do dim slightly over the years
Continue with a challenge: Dutch Aquascape!
I'm coming to this video late, but I would add driftwood and one kind of red stem plant.
Better late than never, thanks for watching
This stone look so good. What is the name of those stone? ❤️
Basalt
This glossostigma is full of green algae on its leaves. Doesn’t see that “happy” yet. Maybe after the trim it will get the right light green lime color
Am I missing something? I thought its a new video, but you say it is a summer time!? 😀
Filmed in august 2021, published now
Scrap it, make it a black water tank 😄
definetily stem plants
Option 3: add an arowana to spice things up abit
This ^
Hallo update juris
Dimana saya bisa membeli tumput dasar itu, karena montecarlo dindonesia tidak merampat justru meninggi
Just stem plants
Bonsoir .
You say you noticed the vertical growth starting shortly after you had a CO2 shortage. There's your answer. Number 3:
Drift wood all the way!! Nice seeing you doing videos again.
😊👍
