That made me want to get rid of the HC Cuba and just plant Monte Carlo, But I changed my mind and will just get co2 for my 30L. Not only for the HC but I hope it will be greener and healthier :)

If I would change something is the fact that both sides ( left and right) have the same height, I feel it could be far more interesting if one of the "peaks" would be elevated. I like the soil storage video idea! I really enjoyed this video. I really liked the original layout and it was even better when you redid it! I love how you drew the line down the center of the tank and showed us how to zig-zag the rock placement to achieve this look. I love the perspective and how you don't see the corners in the back of the tank... I had one of those moments.. an epiphany and it all made sense 😂😁 most people probably understood this concept but to a beginner trying to figure all this out you did a great job explaining it! This was a great tutorial and I actually "get it " now where I can attempt to achieve this myself.. I have me some Monte Carlo coming in and I can't wait to try this lazy dry start!..
    I liked your cologne idea... throw some tropica soil and a touch of aquarium water and you can use it for aftershave 😂😂
    Very informative and thank you so much for sharing!👍🐟🌱🌿♥️

    I'm working on a dry start now with MC and HC. I wish I had seen this before I got started. I don't think I got my soil wet enough at the start and then I got a bit of mold, which I treated with Hydrogen Peroxide. That seems to have done the trick. But, then I began "burping' the tank a couple times a day to avoid mold and some of the MC looks to have dried out. Not a huge problem, and the HC seems to be doing well. But I'll know better for next time. :) Oh, and I love how you poured the sand from the back to see where nature would take it. That's a real pro tip!

    • @JurijsJutjajevs
      @JurijsJutjajevs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Ryan, thanks for joining. You want to keep the plants moist, but avoid too much moist in the substrate. I guess I will have to do a 30 day DSM diary to explain better how often and how much to spray during a DSM. Also using springtails has been a game changer. And common mistake is too little and weak light during DSM

    Jurijs, just a suggestion... as you did it in the dojo, make an arc on both sides with the substrate in the front. It will give that fish eye perspective as if the landscape is taken from a Mars Rover...non-traditional but will be a good change. You know better, but thought of making a suggestion.

    Love the scape. I preferred the mock-up, but I can't object to the results of the finished product. I've always been interested in doing a 'mountain path' scape like this with a few little shrimp and 3-4 Corydoras catfish. The only thing I'd like is a way to keep the contrast of the dark soil and lush planting separate from the light sand of the pathway, so I could just trim the plants back and not worry so much about them taking root in it. Any tips to accomplish that?

    It turned out great, it's more like Brazilian style than IWAGUMI. One question, please. I bought a 35L Dennerle, and I would like to make it 90% if possible, like you made this one. How many Seiryu Stones should I get? How many kg do you think would be enough? I was thinking about 5Kg, or more?

    • @JurijsJutjajevs
      @JurijsJutjajevs  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You really want more rocks to choose from than you end up using. I reccomend ordering 10-15kg and sending back what’s left 🙃

      Great video, love to do something similar, one question though...in the front, centre, there is a layer of soil followed by cosmetic sand, wouldn't the sand sink down & soil float upwards considering soil is lighter than sand or both start mixing?

    i would really like to hear your oppinion about the seachem substrate and in comparison to regular soil substrate and if it fits a scapers needs

    • @JurijsJutjajevs
      @JurijsJutjajevs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s something I would have to test my self first. But from what I have heard, it can work for some, but doesn’t come close to what you can achieve with soil

    Coolest iwagumi scape there cheers :D "D can you do more low tech no co2 tank with all no co2 plants?

    • @JurijsJutjajevs
      @JurijsJutjajevs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I'm not so much interested in low energy or no co2 setups. Its like limiting my self, why should I do that? I know plants grow better with Co2, and yes its possible to do it without - but why limiting my self?

    • @glasscanvasart5273
      @glasscanvasart5273 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jurijs Jutjajevs It’s an understandable stance, but you’d get a lot of clout from it and you can encourage many people into the hobby by offering a low tech route.
