Enjoyed this discussion of Iwagumi. Nice vibe, cool story and dialogue. Also it didn’t feel like you were bragging about the fancy equipment and kept it humble for those of us who can’t yet afford that stuff but would love to have it. Cool to see you reuse the soil too!
Great video! really like what you've done here. I have some noob questions as someone looking to get a 60p, if you don't mind answering: - is that algae on the rocks? Looks really cool, but is it okay to leave it there? Or does it need to be cleaned off eventually? - the biomaster 350 looks massive compared to the tank. Would you recommend this for the 60p, or are smaller models able to keep up?
Thank you for the comment and feedback 😁🙏 I will also answer your questions below: 1. Algae on the rocks - yes it is algae on the rocks , and it’s fine to leave it there as long as it doesn’t spread. It’s a personal choice. Some like to have the rocks very clean, but I like the aged look with the algae. If you want to clean it, use a toothbrush to scrub or APT fix 2. Biomaster - I usually go for large filters for good flow and space for more filter media. I wouldn’t go any smaller than biomaster 250.
Can you tell after how many days did you planted the MC? And what do you think, how should it be fertilized? Because,it has tendency to develop Cyanobacteria as I read about it. As fertilizer,I use “green” Tropica.
How often did you do your water changes and how many percentage of water were you replacing during those 5 months? This is an insanely amazing tank and UG care!
It was a nice sharing my friend, greetings from Turkey.
Thank you my friend for your kind words 😁

50% weekly water changes 😁
I’m trying DSM for UG
Cómo evitas que la ug no se derritiera al comienzo ?
Where am I gonna find those rocks
What is your light setting
👍👌
How come every time I try it the UG will melt? The Monte Carlo grow like crazy tho
Looks amazing 👌. Can I ask what's the wooden base the tank is sitting on? Did you buy it somewhere or build it yourself, i think it looks great.
Thank you! The wooden base I built myself. Jsut simple plywood board from the hardware store😁. I also put a couple of coats of varnish to protect it
What is your rgb setting for 1st week until to fully carpet?
30% on all RGB channels
Hi, what filter media did you used?
Aquario neo media soft
Hey dude , i have old soil but i think i might be infested by snails and alge spores, would dark start help growing UG?
Hey man. Yea dark start definitely helps. I’d be careful with the snails. Some of them eat the UG.
How many pounds is your main rock? I have a UNS 60u that i had wanted to do an iwagumi like yours
Probably around 8-10kg
how well does the ug take trimming down? or do you just leave it alone
Sorry I missed this comment - it takes it pretty well in my experience.
Thats not real! …looks amazing!
Thank you for liking 😁
What fertilizer ur using and amount of dosing
2 hr aquarist APT complete , 2 pumps every day
Where can u get UG in Australia?
Online shops or sometimes on the Facebook groups
Do you run CO2 for UG?
Yes ! I run it on an inline diffuser
May I know the temperature in your tank?
23C
@@scaping.architectwow that’s low!
How come every time I try it the UG will melt? The Monte Carlo grow like crazy tho
Common mistake of people thought UG has zero tolerant toward nitrates. It was actually ammonia and overdosing ferts.
@@namesbinge3073 can you give more tips about UG care? I really am interested
