  • In this 3D printing journey, join me as I tackle the challenges of printing with ABS filament in the cold winter months. Watch how I optimize print quality using a space heater in my non-insulated garage and explore the steps I take to overcome obstacles. From ABS strength demonstrations to the impact of ambient temperatures on printers, this video covers it all. Discover the modifications made to enhance the printing process and find out if printing in smaller increments can lead to higher success rates. Join the discussion on health considerations and the balance between achieving print goals and environmental conditions.

1 get the printer off the floor, 2 you could put a 3d printing enclosure around it To hold the heat. 3 prep the machine by heating the bed about 15 mins ahead of time. Do NOT MOVE IT IN THE HOUSE if your just printing abs.

for your abs layer issues, I'd suggest you slow down your print speed, speed is the enemy of quality prints, have your bed warmed up to temperature for like a half hour before starting the print to help warm the chamber, then let the part sit inside the printer after it finishes without opening the doors for 15 minutes or so, so the printed part cools off slower.
