Jay, you’ve been overly modest about your recent mishaps. We love you and only wish the best for you and hope to keep seeing you do this until well past 100 years. Also, get Letterman to come out to the garage. The world needs it. Badly.
I always lean forward or sideways to look left or right around the A-Pillar when I'm making a turn, where the pillar blocks my vision from my normal head position. Probably depends on the car how well this works.
I love the fact the Bruce McLaren ( A Kiwi or New Zealander) started the company way back in the day and they still have the stylised Kiwi in the badge.
I've loved this car since it's debut... I've heard other car guys (Vin wiki appraisal guys I'm looking at you) trash the Speedtail as gimmicky. I couldn't disagree more. So beautiful and so fast. Absolutely amazing car. Also, this video captured the sound really differently than other vids I've seen. Sounds great!
I’m with you Jay! I HATE all the buttons on the steering wheels these days! Ferrari has taken it way way too far. I don’t mind a hand full of radio controls and cruise control, but that is IT! No headlight controls, no blinker controls, no wiper controls! Come on Ferrari, some things were left on a stalk.
Let's hope when it comes time to manufacture actual interstellar craft, we can get the build quality just a little more buttoned down than the lads at McLaren have been managing of late. The panel gaps are gonna be kinda critical
It's so nice when the salesman knows more then, where the high beam switch is. I didn't hear a price, so I'm guessing millions? I mean, the amount of Gold Diggers you must have to scrape of the windshield at the end of the day, must be exhausting! Thanks Uncle Jay, as always keeping it real.
When sales guy is not trying to make a sale is way cooler. It also helps when you have a great product and the buyers know it's a great product. I am not in the market for sports car, but if I was, McLaren would be the brand I would be looking at. I think all their cars age well (compared to Mercedes who looks old after 10 years.)
It's worth looking up the Gordon Murray Automotive T50, which looks like a pretty good F1 sequel... It's Gordon's idea of all the mistakes he made on the F1 fixed (not that there's many mistakes on an F1). Things like the fuel tank and tyres are much more sensible...

16:41 Jay’s reply there made me crack up. When he feels like driving a McLaren, why bother driving anything other than the best they ever made? He has a P1, an F1, and the SLR. Why bother with a 720?
This is why the super car makers need to keep making limited edition halo cars. If you have an F1 there is no need to own another mclaren because you have the ultimate flex. Ferrari are the best at this business model, you own a laf apperter, that's nice but how about a " insert latest low volume invited to buy model" sir
Looks good, I almost thought something about the fiber cloth mixed but just the colors...not as torque as electric motors but still just for 100 of them. None should be sold, just used rent on race tracks or for training people for high speed and aerodynamics and suspension . 3 seater, large enough for full 3 seats but not in length, but it fits. The boss is the driver nobody can touch the radio.
The gold tools are so rare that they keep them in a safe. At Good wood this week, the Bugatti guy was saying that their average owners had 80 cars, a yacht and a jet.
Beautiful car. I think anyone would. Love it. The torque must be awesome push you back in the seat power. No average person can afford one. But, really nice to wish. Like winning the lottery. Odds are this is an half a million dollar car.
I have seen Zak Brown drives one to a Few Grand Prix and Lando Norris drove 570s and Daniel Ricciardo had a McLaren 765LT. I know now Lando has his own McLaren 765LT Spider. Oscar Piastri has McLaren Artura in red.

Jay is right, A-Pillar blind spots are dangerous. I've almost hit a few pedestrians when they were in my A-pillar blind spot.
That was you?
Especially if you have gauge pods mounted on them, that sucks sometimes.

I've always adored the Speedtail and it's stunning looks. And that vertical third tail light is very unique. 👌
The seating arrangement is interesting you can bring your wife and your mistress on the same trip.
And they can both breath down your neck and keep neggin into either ear. Great.

Ah oui, it's very French!

It's gorgeous! There's something about long-tail cars that I like very much.
What an interview! Jay on Jay - fair play, Jay is an expert when it comes to McLaren.

Proper bit of kit and timeless because of the whole ultra aero look.
Master class by Jay Leno. Loved the part where the McLaren rep asked Jay why he didn't have a 720S and Jay said, "Why? I have a P1".
those lines are really worth 12 weeks, its going to be one of the most valuable and unique speedtails to ever be produced
Now we need the GMA T50 in the show.
The one who designed the look of the McLaren Speedtail was watching the movie The Wraith and got the idea from the car in that movie.
We luv stopping by for Jay’s input on a vehicle. Dude was perfect conversationalist in this episode, seamless.
Center cockpit is why the 1994 F1 is my favorite. They should of carried it throughout the newer models.

Jay you do a great job, I watch you every week. Your current review of the Speedtail is revealing, it looks like the 1940s Wheels of Dreams.

This car will go down in history as one of the most beautiful cars ever built.
