    Hi
I'm a Cinnamon processor in Sri Lanka. Most of the consumers does not get true cinnamon. What you get is adulterated cinnamon from world market. Due to bad marketing strategies of ours we sell cinnamon in bulk to South American countries like Mexico, Brazil, peru etc they add Cassia imported from Indonesia and sell back as Ceylon Cinnamon which is not Ceylon Cinnamon.
Yes Cassia is having lot of health complications not in Ceylon True Cinnamon.
Consumer awareness is much important what is good and whats is bad

I am very well aware of what cinnamon can do and have done my research months before even considering the start of a very slow transition from Metformin to cinnamon.
As a full-blown type 2 diabetic, the prescribed medication Metformin plus insulin injections had sever side effects and serious health complications. I've now been cleared and have stopped all medications and I now have my life back without joint pain, muscle weakness, blindness and over weight. Cinnamon is one of the main ingredients in my daily diet along with other dietary factors that needed changing as well as lifestyle change. I now feel 30 years younger, do weight training 3 times a week and though my blood sugar is normal, I like to check it from time to time. The benefits of tools from being a diabetic is that you can keep in check by a simple drop of blood.

its very good for it...i have been using it for 3 years...however i suggest you keep citrates for all of the high oxcilate sources of sugar reducers...cocao, turmeric, ceylon cinnamon, ...all high oxcilate that will cause stones....you want to have potassium, magnesium, calcium citrate....and keep apple cider vinegar, and lemon juice around when having any oxcilates....other tips...chromium, zinc, vitamin d with k2, the proper b vitamins...all assist in processing sugar better...as well as r-alpha lipoic acid, benfotiamine, ....other good suppliments are amla, punarnava, olive leaf extract, bitter melon, fenugreek, all of the licorice family including fennel, berberine, ginger, ashwagandha....carnivore diet with 23 hour fasts in between can reset you and strip the visceral fat out of you inside 3 months...i lost 50 lounds and regulated my sugar very well doing that

So eventually as process of elimination I stopped using cinnamon and the severe irritation to my ears stopped!

I love cinnamon and I certainly think it has health benefits (burning belly fat etc) it’s just that it can be quite heavy on the liver when consumed consistently and there are side effects to be aware of. So many labels do not include the use of fillers which may be include pod or bark covers ground in - so the taste & strength may well be diluted. This is all what I have found out for myself as I like to jazz up the contents of s meal replacement drink! Best wishes 💓 j c

I remember a dangerous use of cinnamon from the late 70s.
Cinnamon flavored toothpicks to suck on were very popular with teens. Then some kids decided to make their own cinnamon flavored 'picks. The problems came about when kids started using more and more cinnamon with each batch. Several had to go to the hospital.
I don't know if this was a widespread problem. I just know that it happened in my town near Charleston, SC.

WOW!!! I remember cinnamon toothpicks, but never knew people even made their own let alone ended up in the hospital. I can't chew cinnamon gum because it makes the inside of my cheeks feel raw and also makes them swell. My face can be swollen for many days! So sad because I really like cinnamon gum, but just not worth the pain and swelling. :(

Well, there are always things like cinnamon hard candies, cinnamon rolls & buns of various kinds, other cinnamon baked goods/pastries, cinnamon toast (with this you can control the amount used), cinnamon-flavored applesauce and dried apple slices, cinnamon-infused coffees (I believe that Cafe Vienna is a cappuccino-style instant coffee that will allow you too control the amount used by the teaspoonful; if it proves too "cinnamony", you could cut it with other instant coffee, or add it to a cup a regular coffee for flavor; you could also try using the cinnamon-sugar blend available in stores used to make cinnamon toast in your coffee) and teas, etc.
If you like the taste of cinnamon but can't eat anything with too much in it, all I can do is suggest a little experimentation with things like I suggested above or come up with your own.

Did it again a few years later. Now I put 1 scoop of regular to 2 scoops decaf in a 5 cup maker. when the coffee is gone, I'm done. Feeling better already. Thanks again and take care!

    • @michaeldahms7006
      @michaeldahms7006 ปีที่แล้ว +1

It’s not that it’s “cheep stuff from China”, it’s simply a plant species (a tropical tree) that grows naturally in southern China, it’s called Cinnamomum cassia. The other cinnamon is Ceylon Cinnamon and it’s another tree in the same genus but it grows in Sri Lanka, it’s called Cinnamomum verum.
I’m sure there are various grades and price ranges for both species but that factor alone does not make one healthier or safer than the other.

Thank you for your commentary the video was well Constructed, you took your time and read what was given to you, The only thing that we were expected to hear from you at media library is that the same information should be applied to things like salt, sugar, Hydrocarbons, Fructose found in most foods And any other ingredients that we seem to eat quite a bit of And in excess. Especially if it Taste good. Let's give an example if you have a piece of cake then you've already are over the limit of most of the intakes they state are safe to take For the whole day but yet you'll eat 2 more meals, This wasn't mentioned that we heard so people are overly taking a lot of spice And attitudes that are men made and so much more and yet how many people actually read the label on what they're actually eating, Your video kind of put that into perspective when you just name one little spice when it's everything you eat and how much you should be in taking anything you anything you eat that's not natural, And remember if it's not natural like concentrated lemon juice if you use it like regular lemon juice you've already exceeded your limit everything has side effects some good some bad. So keep this in mind because if you try to do exactly what is stated to be healthy for you you're going to be very skinny person That's just the side effect , and that's not good either❤

I will snort only one line of cinnamon per day and 8oz of rum a day. So don’t get liver damage. 😂 and one Pepsy/Cokecola a week. Which is the most dangerous of all. 😂

We had some biscuits given to us, but they had too much cinnamon, so my wife took them down to the beach, crumbled them up, and scattered them for the seagulls. She went on a walk down the beach, and when she came back there were several dead seagulls scattered around.

Yikes! That is not good! Who gave you those biscuits? I would not accept anything from them in the future.

Maybe seagulls are allergic to cinnamon?

The problem here is that there is much controversy over whether ceylon cinnamon is as effective as cassia cinnamon. Some tests show that it is not as effective, or even effective at all!!?

    Don't use ceylon
