Even if it does go to the upbeat theme we all know and love, that opening is just setting up for all the sad moments this game has.
exactly, that's how I felt about this rendition as well, it starts melancholic and depressing,but the upbeat yet calm crescendo is so satisfying,it leaves me in awe,even if I hear it god knows how many times.Nintendo really should remake this game...as well as this song

No, it is not. You see, the game is good and all, but its so arcaic that it it hurts. I would love to see a remake with current mechanics, more supports and with a remix of the OST.
Same here with Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake portable for SNES and PAL only too.

Playing this game for the firs time in 2017. Man the second part of the first map can kick your ass. Needed to play it three times before I was happy with it. Still ended up losing Lex and Fin (good thing the latter isn't Permadeath)
Big mistake losing Lex, he becomes op with the hero axe. As for Aira, if you haven't figured it out, send a unit that can take a hit but won't kill her to bait her, then have them somehow survive for two turns. Also make sure to capture Genoa immediately with Sigurd. Right after that, send him to talk to Aira, and shablam. Jamka can also be a problem, you need to bait with Sigurd. Oh, and always make sure to save before doing these, had to redo chapter 2 when I messed up with Beowulf.
That's pretty much the reason of why I'm still stuck at chapter 2

...And it never appears anywhere in the game again, as well as the "Fire Emblem" (seal of fire actually) which is barely mentionned in the ending depending of the choices you made during the whole game. Funny to think how "far" from Akaneia the Jugdral games are while being on the same world. Actually, the only thing that binds them together is Naga and the backstory about the whole Bishop Gale's legacy. Funny how all the troubles in Jugdral actually existed because of Akaneia.
Anyone wanna tell me how to take Genoa without Killing Aria?
bradpara Probably a bit too late, but you really just need to rush genoa with all you've got and try to ignore Aira. I think you know once you take Genoa you can recruit her with Sigurd. Sigurd's silver sword is a monster against the genoa boss, but if Aira procs Astra there's no hope for you.
She will start pursuing your closest unit once you get in the range of any of the axe fighters near the castle. So you can for example lure her to the north and then rush the castle from the west.
Once the castle is down she will start moving towards Sigurd but iirc she can still attack people. You may want to make sure that nobody is within her range and make use of Sigurds hight mobility to "snipe"-recruit her.
Use a character with high avoid, like Dew ,and make her chase him to the florest. With that, you will have enough time to conquest Genoa with Sigurd.
I bait with Sigurd and Alec. Since Alec has nihil, she can't activate Astra. Once she locks onto him, you can flee with him over the trees and join with the rest of your army reinforcing Dew at the village. This gives Sigurd enough time to defeat the boss, seize, and talk to her.
Then you can have Ayra hit the arena at the newly captured castle on her way to join the rest of your army.
