I love Hank's attitude. He doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks of him, his songs or how he presents himself and he is still one of the most famous artists in country music. He is a Conservative and isn't afraid to toot his Conservative horn, he is anti-establishment and that kind of attitude is something we ALL should have these days and we shouldn't be afraid to voice our opinions on any issues without fear of censorship or cancellation. Who cares about the Grand ole Opry anyway? I never could understand what the big prestige of being a member of that was for these artists..... Big deal.....

What a damn legend this man is. I regret hating country music my whole life simply because the only country anyone ever showed me was faith hill and rascal flats. Old outlaw country is my entire music collection now.
I've been a fan my entire life, I'm 40. A couple years ago I contacted Mr. Hank through F.B. and asked for his permission to play od in denver but if I could change some of the word's and tempo to fit my style. He told me to do my thing. He also responded to me within 12 hour's. He is a true gentleman and I will never forget how well he treated a nobody like me.
So many favorite songs from Mr. Hank but women I've never had always gets me going.

@Big Papa Stovepipe I saw him in a dive bar on the west coast this summer, I told him he looked like Merle Haggard and he smiled. He was not using his name, he said he was there playing some new song's. No one knew who he was and I didn't say a word, my friend even asked me for cash to buy him a drink not knowing who he was, I offered him food (he was at a table by himself)...
I've seen Hank 7 times. Hank entertains a crowd like no one else, and will take you back in time with a melody of his fathers hits, some Jerry Lee, Fat's, and some Skynyrd. I've been to many other of concerts, but Hank keeps me coming back for more. The best parts when he's on stage, telling stories by his self, with a guitar or piano. It don't get no better.

I’ve been a Hank Jr fan for nearly 50 yrs, since the mid 70s. My favorite song of his is Country Boy Can Survive, and I’ve seen him in concert 7 times, 5 times in the 80s and twice in the 90s. He’s my favorite country music artist !!!
I’m a huge fan and I respect his politics and his personal ethics. I almost always agree with his stance on social issues.

I have been a fan of Hank since 1965 after watching the movie "Your Cheating Heart" with him doing the vocals. I consider myself his number one fan. Been supporting him all through the years, from his highs to his lows. Best concert show out there.

I've been a fan since 1969 when I was nine years old and just started really getting into music. Saw him in Salem Virginia and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen.
One OG that still holds the respect of so many people. Hank should have been in the hall of fame years ago. So appreciate that he continues to speak his mind. I grow up with a dad singing Hank Sr. Music and carried on with my own family with Hank Jr. And it's a blessing we still have him after he fall off that mountain side. Sorry about his loss of his wife just a few months ago. And we will say, Yes we are sure Hank did it this way. I have been a Hank Jr. fan since 1985. Me and my brother Jackie have been die hard Bocephus fans we have went to a concert as a family outing. We took our Momma to a Hank Jr. concert for Mother's Day one year and of course we started my daughter Magginator (Maggie) out right with her 1st Bocephus concert @ at the great age of 8. We all feel like Hank Jr and all his family are a part of our family. With the happiness we r happy but with the sadness and tragedy we mourn just like they do. My favorite song of Hank Jr. is I Feel Like Joe Montana!!

Yessir, this is the Hank Williams Jr. I grew up listening to. WITH The Bama Band I might add. Who are STILL good friends of mine. Hank tells it like it is. Ask him sometime about being at Wild Bill Emerson's house in Hackleburg Alabama . Used to have good times there with Hank, Merle Kilgore, Waylon Jennings, George Jones. Never knew who might be there on a weekend.

Hey Hank, you probably won't see this but I was stationed at Ft. Campbell when you played that free concert there I think it was 2009 maybe early 2010. It just meant a lot to me as it was my first time seeing you live, and the local public was aloud to come on post too; you asked for all the soldiers to come up front, and after some local gal told me and my buddy to "get the hell out of her way" because she had been standing there for a couple of hours(We lived right across from the parade field) It just meant a lot to me. It really bothered me when people turned on you for having your own feelings about things in 2016 and I wished I could have let you know then how much you meant to me and how you are not only Country Music royalty but a TRUE Country outlaw who followed your own path. Thank you Mr. Hank. You good sir are a true patriot and a true artist and just a helluva good dude. I have real love for you brother.

I always loved the song-Eleven Roses by Hank Jr that came out in 1972,BUT, what drew me to Hank was "Family Tradition". When that song came out in 1979,(I was in High School) my School Bus was stopped letting kids off on a 2 lane Country Highway and a Convertible behind us with the Top down,had "Family Tradition" blasting. I hitchhiked about 7 Miles to a Peaches Records Store and bought the 45,and later that year-Christmas 1979,my parents bought me the 45-Whiskey Bent Hell Bound/OD'd in Denver, along with a Merle Haggard 8-Track of "Back to the Barrooms".

Listened to the whole thing, and this was a good interview by Hank's standards. The interview started out talking hunting so that's probably why Hank stayed and didn't walk out.

I don't listen to much country but a hank is definitely one of those that I do listen to. I also love Marshall Tucker in the Allman Brothers. he was such a hell razor back in the day and it seems like he hasn't lost any of that

Awesome interview I went to high school with a guy named Darrell Jackson in Millbrook Alabama his dad played with Hank Sr. and his family was good friends with Mearl Kilgore and Hank Jr. every time Hank would come into town to play in Montgomery he would always come and visit them he never would ever tell when he was coming saw Hank Jr in concert every time he came he came to Montgomery just thought I'd share that I always been so close but yet so far in my life lol

This to me even as a child was real country Hank Williams was a legend in his own time. And will be remembered as an all-time great.
