I leave her there with what was going on. So, while I understand, you`re busy, you`re not thinking she`s going to get murdered but, there`s no way I leave her after hearing what was happening.

This is one of the most disturbing cases. I really believe people who are capable of killing someone have parts of the brain that have been damaged or never activated, parts that use empathy/conscience/love. They should compare murderers brains to those who literally can't hurt a fly and it would be interesting to see the differences. Either that or the fact they sound like they have 2 brain cells between them. That poor poor girl and her family. These 2 should never be released from prison, they would be a danger to everyone.

There have been studies on the brains of some haneous murderers, and in most cases they do have reduced grey matter(less brain cells) and stunted portions of the brain where empathy /morality derive. So they have less humanity , capacity to feel guilt. And less capacity to rationalize.

Jesus, those are some messed up kids. In the tapes, you can really hear how immature and, for lack of a better word, naive the murderers were. Arguing about good & evil/bad, talking about how they're going to go down in history/be just like horror movies... It's all very immature - they sound like two kids who are going out to egg someone's house or commit other 'innocent' mischief. The fact that they were so casual about planning A MURDER is just chilling and I really wonder how they got to that point. Like, it's not out of the norm for a teenager to be upset by something and think 'I wish so-and-so was dead" without really reflecting on the ramifications and impact that that would have, but to plan and carry out a murder, on one of your close friends no less, is such an escalation.

I remember seeing this case on a documentary called Killer Kids and those boys are just sick and insane for not only idolizing and being obsessed with serial killers, murders and massacres and making that list of people to kill but also murdering Cassie. Also I believe those two should be in prison for the rest of their lives and there is no rehabilitation for them either since murderers cannot be rehabilitated.
Another thing that is just as infuriating as what happened to Cassie is that when Torey Adamcik was appealing those sentences and claiming that he was being wronged and playing victim when he's the one who committed those evil crimes while he doesn't feel bad or have any remorse for what he had done which just makes him so bad.

I've heard of this case many many times and nothing will ever change my disgust for people like them. They think they are so hardcore and cool and cunning and smart when they are just the opposite. A bunch of dummies. And then when it comes down to it they're bunch of cowards. They blame this, that, and the other and don't want to face their punishment. What happened to that bold attitude? I hope they are getting what they deserve in prison. It's a shame Cassie even wasted her time on those losers. She was too good for them

Why do they appeal when there is video evidence of them planning not only to murder Cassie but also wanting to kill many more?? Do they expect to get out when they murdered someone and didn't kill more bc they were caught? I'm happy to see them rot in prison

It’s interesting that Brian was obsessed with the Columbine killers, because the dynamic between these two guys actually reminds me of the columbine killers. Just a bit. One is always putting the other down, and always sort of “in charge”
Also they were like “we are going to be just like Scream but in real life!” But the movie Scream was based on (or at least inspired by) a real life serial killer, the Gainesville Ripper in Florida… so, yeah. Shows how much they know, I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️
And if this were the Casual Criminalist YT channel, we would be talking about how recording yourself planning, or talking about your crimes, is a big no-no if you’re trying to get away with them.
But obviously here, I’m glad they did, because it helped put them behind bars, where they belong. 100%

Definitely agree with Bella's sentiment that these men should be in prison for the rest of their lives and that there's no hope of rehabilitation for people like this. They acted like murdering their friend was some sick youtube vlog and it sounds like they've had no remorse for their actions since. I believe a lot of people who have committed crimes can be rehabilitated and function in society again, but not these guys. 😬

Definitely not about the movies. It's about the person. They'd have done it regardless of watching a scary movie. Just inspired them further.

      @@user-nx4iv6xx2p
I think maybe this person in particular wants to make sure that no messed up kid is inspired to kill, I just don't feel like these guys needed the movie as a trigger, and feel like 16 is very much old enough to be able to handle that sort of thing. I assume the only way to stop them would have been to get them some really good mental help. Even then, they'll likely still want to kill, but would just be able to deal with the urges better.
Many people do think that scary movies cause people to kill though. Or they'll just blame it on anything they don't like. Doesn't make sense, because billions of other people have been unaffected. If you think you're normal, but are convinced to kill an innocent person after watching scary things, you were always far from normal.
