Not having a reason?? Humanty will probably die in a few centuries. Look at the fertility rate it is even dropping in Africa so if you think we have no reason to do it, then you will ask yourself that when you won't have any pension money since there won't be anyone to pay it to you.

Identical twins have the same DNA as each other, but different from their parents. A clone, however, only has one parent and has exactly the same DNA as that parent.
It would be a lot easier to mimic the same personality in a clone than to get a person with the same physical appearance, at least for good people.
Normal twin baby share 100 percent same gene ..... suppose you have a twin brother .... that means you and your brother carrying same gene...... one the other hand .....if you cloned youreself ....then you and your brother and new clone baby will share same type gene and body resemblance ....that's it .............so cloning is nothing but creating another twin .........

They figured out in 1996?? There is a movie from 1978 called "The Boys From Brazil ". It shows the step by step process with rabbits.
As someone who only cares to improve upon the human condition, ethics means nothing. but I will agree that at the moment, this science is not needed, to say the least. Unless some very drastic measures were necessary to preserve the human race, it's unlikely this sort of science will ever be utilized in the years to come.

We are cloning humans, I've seen them in Atlanta, GA. It's legal in every state, and people definitely do clone humans, and I think it's mostly done when children die young. I've seen children that I know were clones. Also, I don't think it's difficult or leads to abnormalities.

I find it unethical to clone human beings. I think the process of cloning and duplicating species should be restricted to endangered animals only, and forbidden on human beings which would be classified already as the most complex animals. No animals have the brain capability of humans. Human cloning is redundant in my opinions. Humans could just have more consensual sex.
