You can clone an organism's DNA, you can make an exact copy. However, you cannot precisely copy their environment, much less their experiences.
There are so many variables, that a "true copy", would be impossible.
And, it's probably better that way (Did anyone see Pet Cemetery? Sometimes, dead is better).

Or is it because that's what you were taught to believe, and not ask questions?

His sister (Princess Kiara), rarely ventured outdoors, even with the kitchen door wide open during the summer months. She'd sit on the door threshold and just gaze outside. I suspect when she was young, she may have been attacked by a hawk or crow (during the latter's nesting season when they're particularly protective of nests and their young). She rarely vocalised and could be standoffish.
They both passed within months of each other.

There's no way for you to know they're the same cat unless you run genetic tests yourself with additional tissue samples from the template cat. They may well have just bought another white cat of the same breed and pocketed the extra 39k.
Minione is a good small scale DNA analysis tool, or you can send a pair of samples off to an independent company if you're not a geneticist.
I would like to replicate the cloning of a larger mammal, but I will start with fruit flies first and then work up to mice, then cats. I aim to also create a truly hypoallergenic cat in the process, as the few companies promising it for a while have yet to start offering the service.

I didn't know the success rate was so low. And I didn't realize that a clone isn't actually the same in the sense that the personality or the "grit" ... the conditioned, lived experience and learning could make the pet so completely different that one could be introverted and the other extroverted. I wouldn't describe that as a clone in the sense that I wouldn't get my same pet again. It would be a different behaviorally. They say in the video it's possible that the clone could in fact be better. But it's equally possible they would be worse BECAUSE their lived experience would be so different. It's possible that adversity actually made the horse stronger, and by giving the new foal every advantage, it would not be a champion.

Death is unavoidable and makes life mean more to me personally because you only get one instead of an unlimited number so you cherish it more etc. we've always wanted to cheat death but we're never gonna succeed, nor should we in my opinion. just my thoughts.

_“Men and women range themselves into three classes or orders of intelligence; you can tell the lowest class by their habit of always talking about persons_ [gossip]; _the next by the fact that their habit is always to converse about things_ [possessions]; _the highest by their preference for the discussion of ideas_ [concepts].” -Henry Thomas Buckle (1821-1862)
_“How dare they spend their money on something that doesn't affect me and not on uses i_ [sic] _approve of.”_ -@nt
The triggered fragility of the _intellectually challenged_ is amusing. Clearly, you collected more _participation trophies_ growing up, than making the effort to learn how to comprehend the written word. Nothing in my comment implies what you incorrectly allude to. Go back to _‘skool’_ and learn to read.
Whether I approve of pet cloning or not is irrelevant. What is relevant, is, shallow stupid people, who think that by cloning their pet, they will get an animal that will possess not only the same physical characteristics of their beloved deceased companion, but also the same individual behaviour characteristics, that made their deceased companion so endearing to them.
Nothing could be further from the truth-pet cloning is nothing more than a scam devised to liberate you of your hard-earned income, for an unattainable fantasy.
You can clone physical properties and characteristics, but you _cannot_ clone identity behaviour-behaviour that reveals itself as an individual (not intuitive behaviour). Identity behaviour is built almost entirely upon the living experience of the animal in question. THAT is what these indulgent, narcissistic, selfish, fragile, unable-to-cope-with-loss, people, want.
Now, having said that, if you want to spend your hard-earned money cloning your pet, _fill your boots._ I couldn't care less. But DO NOT expect that, in so doing, you're going to get an exact duplicate of the companion animal that brought so much joy to your life.
Part of the process of living the only life you're given, is learning to accept and cope with companion loss and the grief that comes from it, and, after a period of mourning, be willing to embark upon a new journey in developing new relationships with new, entirely different individuals.
It is absurd to me, as an observer of human behaviour, that someone would choose to spend thousands of dollars in a futile and shallow effort to regain something lost, that will NEVER achieve its desired goal, rather than choosing to adopt an abandoned/discarded pet from the SPCA (or similar organisation)-to save it from the ultimate abandoned “humane” fate. Thousands of “pets” are destroyed each year because many so-called _‘pet lovers’_ would rather waste their energies creating a living memorial fantasy, rather than rescuing the already living.
Get over yourself… If you have nothing better to spend money on, donate those thousands you'd otherwise throw away on an illusion, to your local SPCA-or save your money and adopt a discarded pet and give it the love and attention it deserves.

*I think what most scientists don't realize is not everything about humans is earthly. You can't clone a soul. Furthermore, truth doesn't evolve. Truth is absolute.*
