    Amazing! I would have been a nervous wreck. Looks like so much fun though.

      Yeah - and to imagine that it’s everyday life for the fishermen

    Hello Thor. Greetings from Türkiye. I found you in another channel (Varuna Gezgin's Tuvalu Video). It's interesting to travel around the world without flying. It sounds a real adventure. I really wonder how many years would that take and how much money would that cost minimum. I will dive into your videos. See you around 😁

    Crazy! I'm looking to interview someone from all 9 municipalities of Tuvalu. Niulakita is proving difficult since so few live there :/
    Do you know of any way to contact someone there?

      The best way would be to go there. But alternatively they have a church and a pastor/priest. Perhaps you can reach out to the responsible branch in Funafuti and find out who it is. Good luck.

      The People on Niulakita are also Niutaoans. The residents on the island act as caretakers and rotate with other Niutaoans. It’s like working a shift except this shift could take years. 🤣

    Hi any advice on traveling to Niulakita? I am going there for a short work trip. Also do you have any videos of the island and your stay there ? Thanks 😊

      Hi, if you’re just visiting Tuvalu for a short work trip then you’re unlikely to make it to the outer islands…especially Niulakita. But you can go with the government ferries on a regular basis. Like once a month. I don’t do much video but I’ve blogged about my time in Tuvalu here www.onceuponasaga.dk - enjoy 👍

    Homeboys remind me of none other than Coleridge`s legendary *ancient mariner* - AFTER he, mind you, was condemned to travel the stormy seas until the end of all days.

    Hi, I'm Italian, I would like to visit Tuvalu, reach Niulakita and stay there for three months, is it possible or is it just a dream destined to remain in the drawer?

    • @OnceUponaSaga
      @OnceUponaSaga  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there, it’s certainly doable. Get to Funafuti, buy a ferry ticket to Niulakita, and off you go. People are super friendly and helpful in Tuvalu. But time means nothing so don’t expect much to go exactly as planned.

      I wonder what you can do on an island with 27 inhabitants, do they have electricity?
