- Tuvalu is a small island nation in the Pacific, at an elevation of only 15 feet, rising sea levels are a serious threat. BYU-Hawaii SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) students traveled there to help to train the youth, as they will be the leaders of tomorrow.
Thank you BYU-Hawaii for the great DONATIONS you gave to us Tuvalu. I was one of those students when you came to Tuvalu

Nice rememberance on a fantastic place. The MV Moana Raoi brought me to that beautiful island Tuvalu. That was in 1985. I have shot a movie film about Funafuti and Vaitupu, and I will post the film here someday.

My ancestor are from Vave, Yiaidemalo ,hagalolo ,Gauna, voyagers and found an island call Nukuoro, from samoa but i also have Family in Tuvalu of a man called by TuTuila(tuila).i have no met any of them. But would def want to know more .

You´re right. Im from spain, and we are tired of these jealous people, who swims in egoism and individualism. Seems like nobody needs nobody, like some kind of dystopia. Im 20, studyng biologics. I would try to be a proffesor in a place where students respect me, and live there calm and quiet. I´ve seen so much waste of time, drugs, violence here, so as happyness. That´s not a way for a human being.

Island nations are nations too. And Liberia actually exported about $1.2 billion last year. Compare that with Tuvalu's $32 million? I'm not sure what you base your assertion on... Liberia IS a very poor country, I agree. This same SIFE team is working in parts of India that are poorer than Africa's 15 poorest nations, and they actually just started a project that they tested in Ghana that is doing great things for Africa. I can't wait to see where they go next.

I'll tell you more: the political situation in Europe (UE zone) is getting worse and worse. Someday it will blow up and then I wanna be somewhere else with my girlfriend, such as little Pacific Island's :). I still believe in my dreams to get there.
