Back when it was WW2 American soldiers camping in Tuvalu get along with the Tuvaluans and whenever the Tuvaluans perform for them the soldiers didn't have money to give but only perfume from their wives so they always go up to them and put perfume while they perform and from there it became a tradition for the Tuvaluans
The rule for closing shops did not start two years ago as the woman claims, it has always been instilled by our Tuvaluan Government due to the fact that most of our laws were religiously motivated when made. Instead the government simply reminded these business owners of what the law clearly states as most of them started opening on Sundays. Six days of work, one day to rest is the life of a Christian. Also, the curfew from 6:45 to 7 is the time for evening devotion. You stop as it’s a sign of respect. Also because the motorbike can be loud when driving around homes that are in the middle of their evening devotions. All these laws were made out of respect for our Christian values. The same values that brought our ancestors out of the darkness. Abolishing old rituals and traditions that were not appropriate to Christianity, and what we like to call black magic or witchcraft😅
Who told you that? You can be whatever religion you want to be, the only thing people disapprove of is when you force your religious views on them. Otherwise, you’re free to do whatever it is you have to do for religious reasons and spiritual purposes.
