Just came in from the shop for a break and saw Retromecanica had a new video, here I sit, taking it all in. Nice to hear your son is doing better, our prayers are with him and the rest of your family.
Makes me smile to think of you and a moustachiod Mr Tweed shooting the breeze about metalwork, old engines and such like! Engine is looking great and it's a privilege to see the detailed work for the rebuild ❤ Thanks again Dean and best wishes to your boy. Hope you get some answers before too long.
Thanks Dean just got back from the short break to Greece with the family to put a little colour back in to my cheeks , nice to here your Son is recovering a little please send him our love
A word of warning on this kit . If you have to use an adjustable peg spanner holding tool , make sure the pegs aren't damaging the coils . I did and a stator is £114 , but at least they sell all the individual components. Also I recommend buying the removal puller and the holding tool with your order .
The Electrex World units are very good. Tell Peter to use LED bulbs for nice bright lights and a noisy horn. I used their little power pack rather than a battery on the B50 and it all works really well.
Looking really good Dean. Great work. And a fine looking ignition system. As a former 1960s BSA and Triumph owner I can say any departure from the Prince of Darkness can only be good. Glad to hear your boy's on the up. Cheers, Peter.
Great Job Done Dean👍👍🏍🏍😉😉 enjoyed the journey glad to here family problems have stabalised, hope you get some answers soon👍👍 see you on the next part best wishes Kev
I have an Electrex unit (fine piece of engineering) on my D3 and fitted the coil & reg/rect under the tank and squeezed a small battery into the tool box.
Hi Dean. I have fitted a few electronic ignitions to old bikes. A 68 tiger 100 & a Bsa B33 . Never seen the replacement of the alternator though. Nice one. Steve.
Lovely new kit! Quality. Expertly fitted. Your Grandfather would be proud of you..😀😀😊

@@InTheShedUK sounds good Ian, probably the way.
I've honestly never seen an Electrex unit up close. I've a feeling they'd never let me review one either! Engine is coming together nicely mate.
@@OzBSABantams thanks mate, it's very much appreciated. Nearly there. Best wishes, Dean.
Similar to the VAPE system that I had the pleasure to work on a few weeks ago. Great work Dean.
